General hysterical diet related rambling: From Flab to Fab.

oh my god that last post of yours.............im just laughing my head of so sorry.......its just that i FEEL U....the way u described it...

Well first let me say that u look great in the pics.i do love the shorts and top but i totaly understand the shorts ridding up and the blouse needed to be pulled down!Dont worry though , i dont think its a good workout outfit , thats to blame!you go for a long trousers next time its so much more comfortable.
You jumped over your back wall>>>???? :)
did u go shopping for something new?

I also tend to hold my stomach in , but its naturally done now.I dont think of it!I just do it!!!!

Hmmmm..... If you don't want any leftovers (1/2 an onion, the rest of a packet of chicken breasts etc...) you could always get some posh/healthy ready meals from the chilled section of the supermarket. Some of them look really nice actually. Or you could just have things like jacket potatoes (or baked sweet potatoes which are llower GI- I love them with curried beans-just beans and curry powder) where you can buy one portion easily.

:D Jasper, I'm still laughing at myself :O and yep, I went shopping yesterday specifically for the new outfit for jogging! This is my garden wall I jumped over teeheeheee.....

Oh, I read now your post about going for run! And I know also the feeling. I dont enjoy running yet either... And it is VERY hard to actually start running instead of just walking. I did first just one hour lasting power walks like for 3 weeks and then I tried to jogg. And nowadays I jogg and walk depending what feels good. So you shouldnt start running right away, otherwise you dont want to do it anymore!!! And about other people watching, you dont need to think about them! You should be just proud of yourself getting out there and trying to work out!

And I love your running outfit there, it is so feminine! I just cant use shorts yet cos my thights rub together, and I dont like my legs at all. :(

If I would live near you, I would definitely work out with you cos you seem scared about going for even jogg outside! :D

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!oh my goodness!!!!!You jumpt over T|HAT WALL????hope u landed on the trampolin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is that your back yard?its lovely i wish i had something like that too but its only concrete here....

:D You silly duffa! Well pop those workout clothes next to that awesome new interview outfit you'll buy. Incidentally, I don't think I've worn shorts since I was about 15 for exactly that reason...

Is that your gorgeous family? :) You lucky chicken. xx

I used to go running all the time, so I dunno what's wrong with me! I think I'll do what you did and just start out walking :)

At the V of the washing line there is a lower wall, so I jumped onto that first! So my ankles are alright Amy :) On the other side of the wall is a communal courtyard for the block of flats to the right of my house, the wooden trellis attached to the other side of the wall is at least 5 foot up from the floor, so that was the hardest part, getting up there lol. Maybe I should do that everyday, its a bit like the gladiators assault course :D

Thanks Jasper, its the first proper garden I've had of my own :) My old garden was just concrete slabs and tiny, although saying that, concrete is better than nothing :) Its not be perfect, but I love it!

NEWS IN RUTHIEWORLD....

I HAVE BOOKED DERMAL FILLERS FOR MY EYEBAGS!!!!! I'm fizzing with excitement!!!!!! I did it for the 30th July, so I have a month to lose as much weight as possible, so hopefully I will have no double chin when my eyebags go! As I just said to decsionmaker, I HATE spending money on myself. And this is costing £400 and lasts 6 months to a year. So I am a bit eeek-y about the amount I am spending, but I am sick to death of people saying I look tired. I have some pictures of when I was skinny before, and its not co-incidence that in two of them I am wearing sunglasses, its because my eye bags were awful when I was skinny. I looked a bit haggard, and I was only 21/22. Anyway, I figure that I would rather spend £400 on this, than nice clothes, as if I was wearing nice clothes, people would only notice my eye bags anyway. I have paid a deposit anyway, so its definitely happening, and I am going to get some stuff on ebay tonight. I can easily make £400 of my ebay stuff if I am not lazy. So I am going to say goodbye both to the bags under my eyes, and the bags of junk in my bedroom. I will take a picture of the junk in my bedroom. It is A LOT. Here's a youtube vid of what they do if anyone's interested, the before and afters are great

I'm so happy!

Food
porridge with honey 336
3 kiwis and a satsuma 163
butternut squash salad 280
4 plums 1 apple 185
6 coffees 150
=1114. A bit under, but makes up for the 1200 calories of cake i had on saturday :)

Exercise
13 minutes trampoline
13 minutes strength training and stretches
0.7 miles walking
35 minutes housework

I've decided not to count my exercise calories, when I start losing weight more slowly, I'll start calories counting my workouts :)

That's good- the only wall I can see is the one in the front of the shot, and it looks bloody huge! Trip to the hospital for sure.

I like the way people are putting towards non-food related rewards. It's something that will make you feel better, and that's part of the whole point of this exercise :)

Don't plan to go under 1200- I'm sure you know, but it's better to draw a line under it and move on rather than punish yourself that much. It happens sometimes but don't make a pattern out of it.

Yep, that is my gorgeous family :D Thanks :)

It will make me feel SO much better. Probably as good as losing two stone (13k's) overnight.

I always eat really low calories the couple of days before weigh day. Its tomorrow, eeeeek! I was 13 stone 6.2 6 days ago. I really need to be 13 stone 4 point something if I am going to get down to 13 stone by my mini goal of the 10th July.

Goals really help me, whether its decorating, studying, losing weight or anything else. I am most definitely a goal orientated person. I can't wait for this goal to be out of the way, so that I can start working towards my next one of losing 7 pounds between the 10th and 30th when I'm getting my tear troughs banished. I hope to be 12 1/2 stone (175lbs, which is a nice number) by then.

Sorry if all my boring goal talk is getting boring :) And for talking in stones when everyone else goes by pounds and kilos

I was in River Island today looking for a Goal (groan, not that word again lol) size 14 outfit. I was umming and ahhing because I was thinking how can I justify buying myself something nice when I am spending almost half a thousand pounds on my eye bags.... I think a shop assistant might have felt sorry for me because of the way my son was acting cos he said that on Thursday everything I'm looking at will be half price, which is nice. So I am taking it as a sign from the gods that I should buy myself a new outfit on Thursday.

Gotta take my cat Gunza to the vets tomorrow :( He has a big lump on his tummy, bless him. I so hope it isn't anything serious, I have been going out of my mind worrying about him.

Food
Porridge with sultanas 352
lamb curry(oh, god, it is AMAZING) and basmati rice. 730
150g cherries 90
Kiwi and Satsuma 71
=1244

Exercise
10 minutes trampoline (aching, but thought i should do something)
1.3 miles walking
1 hour cleaning and tidying.

Awwww..poor fella...they are like family our pets...are "son" Snickers..is a Poodle/Westie/Schnauzer mix..but he thinks he is human..and we do nothing to tell him other wise...good luck tomorrow GUNZA!!

oh no! poor gunza! Let us know how it all goes...

And your writing is NEVER boring! All that goal talk? It's so freaking inspiring. don't apologise for being motivated! :)

It is usual to cats have those lumps, it may not always be the worst case scenario thought! :) Maybe it is just a lipoma? Like a lump full of fat.. :) I hope everything is okay over there!

Thanks for your support everyone :) Yep, its fingers crossed a limpoma. They took a biopsy to be on the safe side tho. Bless him. He has gone into hiding now after his trip. I know its horrible because peoples pets are injured, but I like the atmosphere in the vets.

I have lost 2.8 pounds in the last 6 days, which is nice! And it means I'm on track for my goal. I feel guilty getting excited about it though, as Joh and Carrie didn't lose this week.

Decided to treat myself in moderation now I'm feeling a bit stronger, think I'll allow myself 2 or 3 creamy chocolatey youghurts a week. Got some milky bar ones for today.

WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO! WEIGH DAY SUCCESS!

Wow, that is SUCH a fantastic loss! I told you, though, that you have been doing SO well with the eating and such! Yes, one time you had chocolate cake, but look at that - having one stuff up in the week doesn't really cause too many problems, eh?

DO
NOT
FEEL
GUILTY
about doing well! You silly bugger! Carrie and I (well, I assume Carrie is on the same wagon as me with this one) just want you to do well! We don't want to spread the plateau over the forum, you silly!

SO PROUD OF YOU!

:D Thanks

Yesterday was completely non stop, I worked out, went to the vets, walked for almost 2 hours, came back, did gardening till a late dinner, then completely crashed out, although I couldn't slepp for hours. Plateaus might not be contagious on this forum, but I think having trouble getting to sleep might be.

My food was- small portion of porridge with banana, 2 skinless chicken thighs with basmati rice and 2 stuffed mushrooms (inc. cheese), a milky bar yoghurt.

Will catch up with everyones pages later as I'm a busy bee today :)

Not feeling great right now, I'm poorly *sticks lower lip out like a toddler*. I am under my calories for the day, and I DESPERATELY want some chocolate, but I'm feeling too shite to go and get some. I have no fruit left, but I am feeling the need to munch upon something. Arrgghhh.

Food
Porridge with sultanas and cinnamon (My son Charlie ate half of it tho he'd already eaten his brekkie) 264- high est.
One slice white toast with flora 115
mango 135
3 egg sweetcorn and onion omelette 368
=1033 so far.

Exercise
None.

Don't stress too much when you're sick. You still seem to be doing well regardless.

And I hope you pick up very soon.
