From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

Thanks everyone!

The bad food day made quite the rebound, but I'm sure it will settle out quickly. 250s this week is happening. I ran a 2.27 mile easy half hour yesterday for day 151.

A well-earned and thoroughly enjoyed rebound is not a rebound at all but just a hiccup on the way to the 250s.

It's amazing how those numbers can jump. I'm not looking forward to stepping on the scale tomorrow after my restaurant meal today!

I like your perspective LaMa!
Mystic, it's a pain, but I'm trying not to let it bother me. 250s on Saturday will help.

So day 152 was a slow 1.25 miles after a bad night's sleep. Yesterday was 2.55 miles in 30 minutes for 153.

Feeling tired but well today.
262 this morning which is still elevated. I bought a size large button up yesterday that fits so a nice non-scale win.

Non-scale victories are great! I'm having trouble sleeping at the moment too. Sleep is so important to weight-loss & to your state of mind (mine anyway.) It's easy to confuse being tired with feeling down. Hopefully it's only temporary!

Thanks Cate, I should sleep like a ton of bricks tonight. Also I am trying the CoQ10. I'm on statins so maybe some of the aches and pains aren't from the running alone. I'll let you know how it goes.

2.57 miles in 30 minutes 1st mile was 9:56, second mile was slow, and I picked it back up for the last .57 to round out day 154.

I don't know Mystic. I definitely feel like I am on an upswing in my abilities. I want to move towards 30 minutes of running a day and from there towards 5K in 30 minutes every day. A year no longer seems unreasonable, but that would put me at the beginning of the holiday season and a real need to keep things moving. So through early 2016 at least, but unless my body revolts at some point I may do it indefinitely.

Day 155 was 2.7 miles in 30 for a 7.82 mile 1.5 hour 3 day total. I'm feeling well and sleeping well since upping the efforts.

This weekend I will be attending a violin concerto and going to see Garrison Keillor. Rarely does anything happen in driving distance and now back to back in one weekend.

Also I will be in the 250s by week's end and probably tomorrow morning.

Pulling for the 250s tomorrow. Garrison Keillor? Hopefully this weekend and all your weekends are above average.

Well tomorrow I get to hear Tchaikovsky's violin concerto played on the Auer Stradivari so even before Garrison I'd says it's above average even by Wobegon standards.

Thanks for the support! I'm sitting here hungry and below 2,000 drinking water to hedge the bet so to speak. Making it into the 250s seems like a hurdle at this point so I'll be a bit silly for just one evening to see if I can get there.

Day 156 of the run streak 3 miles in 30 minutes at the indoor track. The track is much easier than the road.

I bought a suit jacket off the regular rack for the first time in my life tonight. Only the big and tall racks before so that's something. I had to put a tie in the charity bag. I've lost enough weight that my big and tall extra long tie now covers my crotch. I'm constantly realizing that 6' 3" isn't as tall as I thought it was. The suit jacket will too big at some point, but it was 60% off and just fits so it should be okay for a while. It's a 44 extra long. My old jacket was a 62 long I think. It hadn't fit in a very long time.

Thanks LaMa and Mystic!

Yesterday was pretty sweet! 259.0 in the morning and the performance was outstanding! We got to meet Vadim Gluzman (Strati soloist) at intermission. Our seats were great.

Today I mowed the yard and then ran 1.25 miles (same yesterday). Now we are eating before getting cleaned up to go see Garrison Keillor. Today is day 158 so not much longer and we will be at the half year mark. Also 250s!

I want to take the time to thank everyone here that has stuck with me through this so far. I spent a lot of time making excuses and deluding myself, but it's the unconditional support that I got here that allowed me to work through it. Seeing peoples' successes and learning from our failures has really been great. I know I'll make my goal and I know I will be here when I reach it. When I support people or if I serve to inspire anyone then it's just repayment on what I've been given.

A sincere thank you to every one of you!

You're really sweet Q. I know I am very grateful for all the support I get.

I think we are all lucky to be able to share in one another's lives. This is a great community!

Yay for the 250's!!! That's awesome! I can't wait to make the next jump down in weight range!! I hate when it feels so close and yet so far!

:iagree: word for word. Also: Congratulations on the 250! Had to convert before being certain but being a tall guy you´re aproaching a healthy weight fast.

Thank you Cate! Go team us!
Thank you Mystic! I hope you get there quick! You look awesome!
Thank you Lama! I still have a way to go, but I'm getting there.

So day 159 2.54 miles 30 minutes

So here I am post run all sweaty in a size large tank top.

A sincere thank you to every one of you!
Thank you, Q!!!! Looking good from the My Space angle!

Congrats on getting into the 250s. I'm really proud of all the success you've had despite the injuries and setbacks. Other than one twisted ankle that I was back on after a few days, this was a hurdle I haven't really had to deal with so far (knock on wood). So pat yourself on the back for all the hard work.

And yeah, buying normal clothes at normal stores is a great feeling after a decade of not being able to do so.
