From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

Thanks Dude!
Cate it went pretty well thanks!
Thanks Mystic, I'll get there eventually.
Thanks Lama! I think I'm safe in speaking for V too in saying we love having you around!

So I felt a bit poorly yesterday and then it stormed severly all night. No damage, but little sleep. Today will be a slow mile to keep the streak alive and an early bedtime. YAWN!

Oaks that sounds like the May photo for a very scary calendar.
I am Mystic, thanks!
Thanks LJ!

So I ran 1.25 miles yesterday and got to bed early. I ate a bit too much yesterday, but nothing junk and pray around my old 2,300 mark anyway. My tendinitis in my right elbow is fared up again, but it won't slow me down.

I didn't weight this morning, but I'm on track today with food.

3.1 miles in 29:11 for day 168 yesterday and right on track with calories. 260.0 this morning. The elbow is feeling good today and I feel much better overall. The rebound will go away.

Hi Q--just caught up on a few pages from your diary (Not very manly sounding...Journal..your online journal...) and you are doing so well :) So pleased you've kept your shit together for so long..Wish I had your will power!

Thanks Hana! You have it in you. You've already done it with swimming. I had running down before I got the diet sane.

256.4 for a new low but a pretty skimpy loss for the week. I think out Thai food Friday night may be bumping the Saturday weight up. If it's lower tomorrow like it did last week I will start using Sunday as my weigh in day. I'm officially in the mid 250's. I'm pretty certain that 255 is as light as I've ever been, so mid 250's is the lightest range ever.

Yesterday was day 170 of the run streak and I ran a 5K on the indoor track in 29:06. That's 3 5Ks rn in under 30 minutes this week! Day 142 was the first sub 30 5K and still my PR at 28:38. So less than a month to go from being able to run a 30 min 5K to doing it several times a week. This pleases me. Also I did my first set of 10 on the band assited chinups, so I took off a band. That might have been a bad idea with my tendonitis, but it didn't hurt during or now.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Hi Q- Your running streak is something to behold! Go Q!!!!! Congrat's on being in the mid 250's mate (I started typing mate & then thought OMG how Australian, but left it there :D ) Cheers, Cate

I like it Cate and thanks!

So a very low key weekend. I worked outside so I just did 2 1.25 mile runs for Saturday and Sunday to keep the streak up.
The weight popped up Sunday and I didn't weigh this morning.

Thanks Mystic!

I did another 1.25 miles yesterday. I over ate yesterday and went to bed early. I'm feeling more energetic today so maybe it was what I needed. I'm hoping for a 5K today.

Sometimes you just have to listen to your body. I like seeing your smiling face when I read your diary Q :D

I'm having my own "lack of food" issues these days with the reduced calorie goals, so I know from which you come on the wanting to eat more to feel better track.

Hopefully you're 5K goes good today. I might have to try one of those one of these days.

I wasn't too concerned Cate. Not that i was happy with it, but it wasn't stress or boredom eating and it made me feel better so probably not a bad thing in the grand scheme.

Vee it makes you aware of how limited the control over your body is. You can regulate what goes in, but that amazing brain can't explain to the rest of you that the reduction is a temporary and positive change and that we aren't going to starve or be malnurished so nobody freak out. Nope the guts scream at you and your energy plummets like you have no track record for keeping yourself alive.

Day 174 29:07 5K indoor track
That's a bronze medal for me. 1 second slower than silver and 29 seconds behind the gold. I realize that I have only run 1 sub 29 minute 5K so far, but I'm pretty close to that mark. This was a hard effort.

There's a place down about a mile and a half from me that I think has an indoor track. I might go check it out for an occasional mixup of the treadmill work. I'd love to see just where I'm at on a distance running basis.

I can't imagine how it will be in 50 pounds or so, but it should be pretty sweet. Indoor track is so much easier than the road. I haven't had to use a treadmill since my old job which I like because i can't stand them. You've obviously made them work well for you.
