A machete and a knife are the only things I have in the field. Angry land owners And hunters (sometimes both) are the only times I've seen guns other than the tier 3 security they have on all the south Texas ranches. Snakes, wild hogs, and wasps provide the biggest hazards along with weather and terrain.
