From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

It's so nice that your wife is doing this as well! Yank tries to fill my face with Kraft Mac n Cheese and delicious goodies whenever I suggest salad or rice for dinner! Must be lovely to have the support!

It is nice Hanna, but it's been for half of the year. My real start of making progress was late last year when I really solidified the attitude that I was doing this for me and that also means despite everyone else. Eventually everyone that cares about you will come around when they see that you are committed and helping yourself out (and hopefully even join you). The rest of them will stop hassling you when you eat "weird" foods and start saying things like "I wish I could lose weight". I just realized that nobody tells me when they bring in doughnuts anymore. That's nice.

Day 11 of 36
PM Road Run
2.2 miles
30:17
151 bpm avg HR
We ran the road out to the highway and back. I tried to stay with her, but ended up looping back to her several times. There is a lot of steep hills between here and the highway, but that was by far the easiest it's ever been. I will be lifting weights this evening as well.

276.4 again this morning.

I will be on the road way too early to run in the morning and I likely won't have time for the internet while I am gone, but I will run and hit calories while I am away. Hopefully I will be back Tuesday evening. I may have a couple 1 mile days as the work look fairly miserable and it's with an inexperienced coworker which makes it tougher for me. I'm not sure where exactly I will end up tomorrow at the end of the day so I don't have any hotel reservations and the last time I ended up at a fleabag motel. Hopefully we will be more fortunate this time around.

Fingers crossed, hope you´re doing ok. "Running" and "steep hills" do not belong in the same story ;) Well done!

Hope you survive the road trip, good job (again) on the life change, it must have felt nice when you realized you were removed from the donut newsletter.

Are the hills part of your normal route? I have a love/hate relationship with hills...there's no arguing they are good for you, though!

I hope the road trip with the newb isn't too rough!

LaMa I'm doing quite well. A liitle extra soreness/tightness in the hips, but nothing worrying at all.

LJ thanks a lot bud! The road trip went much better than planned as I am typing this from my living room sofa. It means I have to go back at some point, but I'm happy to be home tonight.

No Oaks, the run was a daylight run so the road dogs were okay. My usual loop is all gentle incline. Unbelievably easy trip.

Thanks Cate! A 10.5 hour day and I was back home and at the gym.

Indoor Track Run
1 mile
9:53 PR

1st recorded sub 10 minute run. I wasn't going all out, but I pushed pretty hard. It feels like I cheated only running that long.

2,300 calories for the day.

Thanks Oaks!

Thanks Jen!

I felt like dog poop this morning. I was sore everywhere and the scale reflected that at 278.8 up 3.4 pounds.

I ran this morning, but I really didn't feel like it. I felt terrible the whole time and went back to sleep for a little bit after my shower. Lots of water today and off to bed early and hopefully I will recuperate for tomorrow morning. I feel better now than this morning already so that's a good sign.

Day 13 run streak
1.08 miles
17:37
As slow as this was it should have been super simple, but it was a struggle.

Dog poop used to be valuable (victorian tanners...) so maybe you weren´t doing as badly as you thought ;)

Thanks Sunflower!

That made me smile LaMa. I'm afraid you and I may have a similar sense of humor. So there are at least 2 of us. Also, another entry in my "How to Profit From a Time Machine" list. Dog park? More like gold mine! You just think people worry about wearing their leather jackets in the rain these days.

I think that makes at least 3 of us. I have a very weird sense of humour (apparently). Hope you're feeling better Q!

Oops fixed now Hana.

Oh I just thought you were weird Cate. ;) I'm feeling pretty good. I am ready for some serious sleep, but I'm in much better sorts than this morning. That's another benefit of taking better care of myself. Even when I feel crappy it doesn't seem to be lasting. That has held true for allergies, congestion, stomach woes, and soreness/aches.

Some days your body just doesn't want to do it. That's the world of running... A good run doesn't mean a good run will follow it, but thankfully the same is true about bad runs!! How's it going today?

Hi guys!

day 14 of run streak
12/10/2014
AM Run
2.2 miles
30:34
Covered roughly the same distance in the woods later in the day.

Day 15 of Run Streak
AM Run
1 mile
15:19
121 bpm
My wife needed a break. I was tired and it was cold and rainy so we both just did a mile. I kept pace with her which made for a low HR. Longer legs ftw.

277.4 today. I'm ready for the scale to start behaving again. It seems like it's been forever that my weight has shot back up, but I was 275.4 on the 5th so it hasn't been that long (1 week).

No slip ups on calories. I haven't had a day below 2,300 either, but I've been hungry for more so 2,300 is great.
