Yeah, that's possible about the muscle gain. My legs have definitely been getting a workout!

Although I don't run for the entire duration, I walk at about a 3.5 for most of it, but when I do run, it's usually about an 8-9mph for a few minutes with sprints of 10-12mph mixed in. It all depends on how I'm feeling and what videos I'm watching in my compilation
So after sleeping in a bit (woke up about 8am), I weighed myself and I actually managed to skate by with a loss this week! 185.6 - only a 0.4lb loss. Not much, but it's something :biggrin:
I'm going to pig out today. Not because it's my cheat day, but because I think it may be helping me avoid plateaus.
Last Sunday, I was pretty light on my consumption, thinking maybe it could give me an edge for the following weigh in. I thought maybe if I didn't eat as many calories, I could lose more weight faster. Well, that didn't really work out. So, I'm just going to do as I've always done and shock my body by introducing a large influx of calories today.
Although I'll feel like crap tomorrow and probably be up around 10+ pounds of retention, it should rid myself of this little plateau I'm in. We'll see. It's a bit of a gamble, sure, but I've done it many times before with success.
So far today, haha... I've eaten:
Breakfast: 1 entire peach pie (yes, an entire cylinder) and about 1/3 box of Fruit Loops with non-skim, Vitamin D milk (probably about 2 cups worth)
1 hour later, I boiled up some water for pasta. I made about half a pound, but couldn't eat the whole thing. I mixed in some mozzarella cheese, butter, and a chicken burger. I only ate about half maybe before I started feeling really full.
I went out to put it in the fridge and grabbed 3 of these little creme-filled cookies I bought last Sunday for my cheat. They look like mini ice cream cookies (75 cal per), and drank a cup of skim milk with that.
Oh, and I also have 2 QT jug of Snapple Peach Tea I've been drinking today too
Yeah, it's a bit shameful, but I think it's almost a requirement in my regimen to keep me losing. I'm not trying to justify binging, but everyone is different, and for me, I think this is necessary for my body to avoid plateaus.
Later, my roommate and I are going to be helping a friend move in to his new apartment, and with the heat and humidity out there today, I'm sure I'll be burning and sweating off a lot of what I ate already.
But then, we're gonna go get our typical Sunday Pizza & Ice Cream :biggrin: There's 2 different pizza places near my house that we alternate between every Sunday. The one is just down the road and they serve AWESOME sicilian! We're probably gonna get another meat lovers 16'' pie (sausage, pepperoni, and ham). Then we go to Giant and each get a pint of Ben & Jerry's (Cinnamon Bun is
unbelievable!)
The other place we go to is La Bella's Italia where we get a large white sicilian pie. We used to get subs along with it, but it proved too much even for us big boys to finish
My roommate is about 6' 5'' and 290ish, so he can really put stuff away when he's hungry, haha.
Anyway, feeling full and content right now.. as is the case when I pig out on junk food. I'm sure I'll be feeling all sluggish and gross here soon, but that's just a good reminder of the kind of life I don't want to go back to as well.
Edit: Ok, it's now 3:40pm and I'm near unconscious from all the food I've eaten so far. I don't even have an estimate of how many calories I've consumed today.. oy. Let's see, aside from the peach pie, cereal, and a bit of pasta I had before noon. I also had a few jumbo marshmellows, a nectarine, a peach, 3 chocolate-dipped cereal bars, a little bit of a broccoli salad with egg salad and a poached egg. Then, I had 2 ice cream sandwiches, some tostitos with mild cheddar cheese dip, and a few m&m's.
I feel like crap. Absolute crap.. lol. My roommate and I have decided to not get our usual pizza today seeing as we picked up some bite-sized corn dogs and then the ben & jerry's from Giant earlier. I may also finish off that pasta from earlier so it doesn't go bad. I only touch that kind of stuff on a Sunday, so it will sit in there for a week unless I eat it today.
Yeah, definitely getting a huge infusion of calories today. I think it's safe to say my body is being shocked
Edit: 8:15pm and I'm done with my calorie intake for today.
Easily over 5000 calories today. I just finished a pint of Ben & Jerry's that was 1000 calories by itself. After what I listed above, I also had a little more pasta from the same bit I made earlier. I only had a few spoons, I couldn't finish it. I also had about 2 of the mini corn dogs and a cheese stick. I really wasn't that hungry once we got home. I also had a glass of sweet tea.
So yeah, I was 185.6 this morning, so I'll be curious to see what my number will be tomorrow
I will update tomorrow with the number, but for now, I think I'm just gonna slump over for the rest of the evening.. lol
