Free's Rotation Diet Diary

I screwed up bigtime. My daughter and her boyfriend wanted Mexican food. Since this is my free week, I decided to have 3 Tacos loaded with cheese and salsa and chips and a beer. It is deceptive how many calories are in that food since the portions are small, but I probably had a 1000 calories in that meal alone. I was already at 1800 so I shot way past my calorie budget and gained about 2 pounds.

The blessing in disguise is that I won't make that same mistake in LA. There is simply nothing on a mexican menu that I can eat.:banghead:
 
Again you learned the lesson the hard way about mexican food but better that you learn it at home where you have a scale than in LA without a scale. Those seemingly smalll mexican meals add the pounds fast.
 
Good job jumping right back on track. Are you going to stay on 1200 calories?

No, but in week 2, I may increase intake by 100 calories a day from 1600 to 1800 and in week and in week increase 100 calories a day from 1800 to 2100. I don't think that will slow my metabolism and I'll lose more weight faster that way.

That should read "and in week increase 100 calories a day from 1800 to 2100."
 
Normally I use to rotate my diet according to my zim trainer, but for so long my diet is no more fixed and since then I am gaining weight and getting fatty, But I will be taking diet chart as you have got and this may help me increasing calories as you do.

Yes a calorie chart really helps find tune your diet. Good luck!:iagree:
 
I would be careful not to stray too far from Katahn's diet. You don't want to lower your metabolism.

That's not going to happen. I lost 1.6 lbs on 1750 calories yesterday. Clearly I have not slowed my metabolism. Basically I am perfecting the Katahn Rotation Diet, customizing it so that it works best for me.:cheers2:

I need to loose 6.5 kg. Current weight is 56.5 kg..target weight is 50 kg. Height is 5 feet. plz advise

Here's my basic meal Plan:

Breakfast

Pack of Apples & Cinnamon Oatmeal with 1/2 a Banana and Black Coffee

Approximately 200 Calories


Morning Snack

Kirkland's Red Grapefruit Snack -- 50 Calories

Fruit and/or Almonds -- Approximately 50 Calories to 150 Calories


Lunch

Healthy Choice Meal -- Approximately 200 to 300 Calories depending on which part of the rotation I am in; or Fast Food Grilled Chicken Sandwich w/o Mayonnaise -- 370 Calories


Afternoon Snacks

An apple, orange, banana, grapefruit, almonds, Added tomatoes to diet with red pepper vinaigrette dressing or a carrot and celery stalk (with a little low fat ranch and K-Paul's no salt seasoning) -- Approximately 30 to 100 Calories


Supper

Any meal of approximately 300 to 500 Calories


Evening Snacks

Same as lunch snacks or Special K with Fruit (200 Calories with low fat milk)

Beverages

Green Tea, Black Coffee and lots of water.

I usually have a 4 oz. Glass of Red Wine at Lunch and Supper unless I am in the 1200 Calorie Rotation and can not add the 100 Calories in 4 ounces of Red Wine.

Here is my modification of the Rotation Diet:

First 3 days 1200 calories per day

Next 4 days 1500 calories per day

Next 7 days 1600 increased by 100 calories
per day to 1800 calories per day

Next 3 days 1200 calories per day

Next 4 days 1500 calories per day

Next 7 days 1600 increased by 100 calories
per day to 2100 calories per day

This is a 4 week rotation instead of the 3 week rotation of Katahn's Diet.

That's a substantial weight loss on 1750 calories. Maybe you have sped up your metabolism?

Possibly. I lost another .4 of a pound on 1800 calories yesterday. I am on 1800 again today. On Friday I plan to up the intake to 2100 but since I will be in LA then I won't be able to weigh.

Not taking my cpu to LA so I probably will not be blogging much unless I can get my daughter to let me use her apple.
