So yesterday, when I weighed in at 243.0 again, I thought maybe I was back to the plateau again. But this morning I came in at 241.2 -- my lowest weight in 8 years!

I'm still not 100% sure, but I have a feeling I've got this plateau licked.
Thursday was my off day, so all I did was some walking on the beach for exercise. Still, I came in with a deficit of 323 calories for the day.
Yesterday was a blockbuster deficit, what with good eating during the day for only 2,159 calories and a 1.75 hour beach walk in the morning and a hard interval session in the afternoon, burning off a total of 1,234 calories, and leading to a deficit of 1,234 calories for the day.
I decided to take most of the day off from the internet yesterday -- sometimes you just need to restore some balance in your life. I feel better for it.
Marlene and I went out to get our weekly piece of chocolate yesterday, and I was looking at a pair of pants I bought 5 months ago that were WAY too small. At the time, I was going to return them, but then I thought it would be a really cool feeling one day to be able to put them on, and have them fit nicely. And that's what happened. A small victory, to be sure, but sweet nevertheless.
I'm pretty confident about meeting my goals for this month, not just for weight, but for everything else. So far, I'm right on track. It's been a bear, it really has. You just have to be patient. I'm beginning to think that plateaus are just the way I lose weight now, and I have to have the patience to ride them out. Eventually, if I just keep doing the right thing, my body will respond.
