Weight-Loss Final weigh in and results for July two-week challenge

Weight-Loss
it's a typo. he meant 447.8.
he was 449.1 and he lost 1.3 pounds.
that means he's now 447.8.

That's correct C. I think it's a sign of how long I've been in denial over this weight thing, but I keep making that 4 into 2. I usually catch it. Anyway, my ticker is off because it's still set to Friday Scale Day weight and not the Monday weight that we weighed into the challenge. I will update my ticker next FSD and hopefully this water weight will be gone then.

Crunchie, just to echo what Mal said I'm eating 1500-1800 calories a day and exercising 2-3 times a week by walking 7 blocks--this is a very low danger/low impact diet. I've been taking off 6 pounds a week doing this (outside of the two trips). I have no idea what to expect, but I have been through some rather long and time consuming weight loss before. Eventually I will slow down and hit some plateaus, but at my size it is going to come off fast. That's why I set the ridiculous goal of 66 pounds for summer. When I was on the other side of 25 I took off 18 pounds in one week by doing Jenny Craig at 2,000 calories per day.

I am against weight loss as a competition because it is unhealthy, but this kind of challenge gave me a little extra motivation that first week not to blow it because I was part of a team. The people on here do not give you a free pass on too few calories--its one thing I like about them.

i think the heavier we are, the faster the pounds falls off of us. it would certainly be unhealthy if we were say 140 pounds and lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. but for me who was at 270 and lost 6 pounds, I'm still in the decent range. Most of us who lost a higher amount of pounds began with a heavier weight. that's why it's more accurate to calculate the percentage of fat loss. so for me who lost 6 pounds but weighed heavier is equivalent to someone who weighs less but only loss 1 pound.

I see some folk have lost near enough 10lbs in the space of two weeks, think I'll give the next challenge a miss as I'm afraid that just does not seem healthy to me.

Hey, Crunchie, I agree 10 pounds in 2 weeks is generally not a healthy loss - but as one of the people who lost nearly that, I have to say at least a good 4 pounds of mine was TOM bloat. It just happened that the challenge started on exactly the right day that I was retaining the most water. Most of it dropped within about four days. My real loss was only maybe 4 or 5 pounds. I hope no one would do anything unhealthy like starve themselves for the sake of a challenge - but you never know.

Ok, so I just finished my double shift at work, and see that it's all over! So sorry I'm so late, but here it is I started at 189.8. During the week I got down to 187.2, but then my monthy vistor came a callin and I'm back up to 188.2 today. Anyway, not that it matters now, but that is my sad little results, just so everyone knows I didn't bail at the last minute!! Good job everyone!!!:D

Congratulations everyone for a very enjoyable 2 weeks of competition!

Well done Termin - eaters!!!
