Fear not for the future, weep not for the past.

another day

I think I'm one of those people who has to step on a scale every day. So I rollled myself out of bed this morning, I really wanted to stay in bed until six, but I got up at 5:30. Drug myself downstairs and got on the scale. I blearily stared at the scale for a couple seconds and then headed to the kitchen. I was still feeling pretty full from last night, so I thought, eh, I'm only 1/2 lb over what I weighed in yesterday, no big deal. Made the hubby's lunch, then got to thinking ..... was that right. Did the scale say 231.5 or 230.5 ..... and what did I weigh in at yesterday? Wait a minute .... I weighed in at 231. So, of course, I had to get back on it. Yep, 230.5. Went down another 1/2 lb.

So then there was nothing for me to do, but go out for a bike ride. Amazing how little things can perk you right up. :D

Made the usual egg breakfast. For lunch I packed the fruit salad I never got around to eating and what was left of the sausage and pepper and a wrap. Tonight I'm picking up a pizza because we haven't had one in quite a while. I plan on having only one piece and a salad.

Can't wait till today's over

T2 you crack me up!!

I can't wait till today's over. Then there'll only be two more days of the work week left. So last night I only ate one slice of pizza and was so full from that. So I didn't have any salad. Then after that I went to our nice cool basement and while I did laundry, I did my biggest loser video. I don't know if it was naughty or not but I did both the section on weight lifting and the cardio (you're suppose to alternate them on diff days). Boy, was I exhausted. But I felt really good. So yesterday I did about 40 minutes of bike riding and two video workouts.

Then I went upstairs and had dessert with the hubby. I had made fat free vanilla pudding and bought some fresh blueberries. That was really tasty.

I don't know if I'm going to get a workout in tonight because I won't have time for a bike ride this morning and it's going to be like 105 degrees today.

I've been reading MissKallie's food diary and I like the way she has stuff listed with all the calories, so I might start doing that too.

Well, I'm off to decide on breakfast. It's between the usual egg breakfast and a bowl of cereal with fresh blueberries. mmmmmm blueberries.

mmm blueberries... gotta enjoy those while they are still here... they are good and sweet for such a short period of time... the eggs will always be there... :)

Have a fantasterrific day!

So this morning I decided on an instant maple oatmeal packet with blueberries. mmmmmm so good.

For lunch I'm going to try lemon pepper tuna. I keep hoping that if I try different flavors that I might actually be able to eat it. I'll have that with some wheat thins and cut veggies. If I don't end up liking it, I'll run out to the store and get some bruschetta.

Well done with the loss you are doing great!!! Don't worry about the exercise, you dont normally do both and to be honest i dont see the harm in doing MORE exercise! Keep up the great work you are doing so well! Hope you are having a good day!

Awwww, Manaloa you are so pretty!!!!! And that's a fab color on your toes!!!

You are really mastering that exercise...putting some of us to shame. I may have to get back on the treadmill to catch up with you!!!!

Congratulations on the ticker move...you're doing great!

What a pretty girl you are! You are doing very well on eating too, good work!

Do you weigh yourself everyday? I just got a scale for myself and I dont want to overobsess. I'm wondering if I should do it every 2 or 3 days..

but anyway, good job! I'm cheering for ya :D

Wow- you are an exercising maniac! I have been thinking about buying the Biggest Loser workout, but I'm not sure if it's right for me. Currently I have been doing a Crunch dvd that is a total body conditioning but has a lot of strength training, and I just started Turbo Jam which I plan to do on alternate days for Cardio. I have the Celebrity Fit Club dvd on my shelf that I'm going to jump into as soon as I get sick of the Crunch one. Is the Biggest Loser dvd fun?

It's sooooo hhhhoooooootttt!!!!

As I was driving home I heard the radio man say it was 106 degrees. Ugh.

favouritecrayon: thanks, I worry sometimes I might burn myself out, but I really want to lose so badly. I'd still have to lose another 5 1/2lbs to get down to the weight I was at my wedding.

Scarlett: (BTW, love scarlett in GWTW) thanks, but you'll make me blush.

Paper Moon: Thanks, yes, I do weigh myself everyday. I think (for me) it helps motivate me. I know I've read others saying that it affects their mood negatively, but for me it makes me more determined to get that blasted scale to move.

T2: Thanks for the not bringing the Twiny stick. (even though I had pizza)

Valapalooza: The Crunch dvd & the Turbo Jam sound pretty hard. I'm not in that good of shape. The Biggest Loser dvd has it set up for a six week workout. Weeks one & three you get to do the easier workouts and weeks two and four are the harder. And I'm afraid to look at weeks 5 & 6. I've only done the easier workouts on it and they're kicking my butt. So technically I should be doing the harder workout this week, but I still get sore from the easier ones. I think I might try them next week, though.
I like the BL dvd. I've tried the Taebo, and I like it, but it's too hard right now for me.

Now on to my food for the day.

Total for the day: 1421 calories

That's assuming I guess that I actually finish the whole dinner. It seems like a lot of food. (not that I would have thought that 3 weeks ago)

Ugh

I think the twiny stick might be in my future. Last night after I finished my palm sized portion of steak ..... yeah, I went back and finished the rest of it. ..... That wouldn't be completely horrible except that I also finished another palm sized portion of steak. Then if that wasn't all I ate 3 peanut butter chocolate rice cakes. My calories for yesterday were around 2100. :(
The only way I can justify it is to say that it's TOM. :(

This morning I woke up, bright eyed and bouncing, though. Weighed myself, as per usual, and I'm down another 1/2 lb to 230. So, I've lost my first 10 lbs. I think half of it came off my second chin though. :p

Had just an egg and the 1/2 pita, because I wanted to get out the door and done with my bike ride before it got any muggier. I don't the actual riding is getting easier, but I have noticed my recovery time after is getting a lot faster.

On the way to work, I swung by the store to pick up something for lunch. I chose a box of melba toast, fat free, garlic flavored. 1/4 lb of cajun turkey. And a little carton of something called garden lentil salad. It was 18 calories for 2 Tbsp. I brought from home a plum and a low fat string cheese.

I got hungry before lunch so I had an apple. For lunch I had 3 wheat thins (had to finish the box out) and 1 melba toast dipped in the lentil salad(had about 4 Tbsp of the salad). Two slices of turkey wrapped around the string cheese and the plum.

The salad was pretty good, very mild, had a faint salsa taste, and small pieces of veggies in it. The ingrediants were listed on the side and I actually knew what everything was. There were no 15 letter strange additive stuff in it. I might actually make it myself some time.

I love lentil salad... lentils make a great meat substitute and have tons of fiber and protein in it... you probably could make it yourself pretty easily (dried lentils don't require hours of soaking time)

sounds like a great lunch... :)

good for ya for getting back on the horse and not giving in to last nights fall... you just keep going - that's awesome :)

Lentil salad sounds SO GOOD!!! Now I want to make some.

Keep it up!!!! You've done very well. I hope your Thursday is great!

OK T2, I went and repented at the "Club".

So I get home today and decide to go mow our backyard instead of doing a workout video. Let me tell you a bit about our backyard. It slopes. A lot. This past winter, my daughter sledded down our backyard. She was going so fast she ran up on our back deck. It's a wee bit steep. Anyways, thing were going just fine, besides the teeny blister that formed on my thumb. Then out of nowhere, I get a horrible stinging feeling on the side of my calf by my ankle. At first I thought it was a misquito, (even though it's been a little bit dry for them) so I smack at it. That didn't help at all, so then I actually look down but I see nothing on my leg. It hurts like &*^$@C!@$&. So I turn the mower off and come inside and the hubby gets me an icepack for it. It looks like a pea sized swelling with a small spot in the middle that looks like a scratch. The ice pack is helping with the swelling but it still hurts like the dickens. We'll have to see how I do tomorrow.

Grab an extra icepack for your tushy, it's just been Twiny'd.

Sorry.

All jokes aside, I hope the bump goes away or at least you can narrow it down to what caused it.

Ugh- probably a bee sting. I got one of those while I was at a client a couple of weeks ago- It was a pretty funny sight actually, I was in a skirt suit and running around the parking lot slapping at my leg. People probably thought I was nuts!

Good job on getting back on the wagon- That's my plan for today too! :)

Keep an eye on that bite, if it's a beesting or a spider bite they can get pretty nasty. Glad you got right back on that wagon today. And I bet you burned about eleventyfivehundred calories mowing your yard. Make sure you make up for it with a tank of water.

Hope your weekend is superb!!!! See ya cutie pie!
