Fear not for the future, weep not for the past.

*shakes Mana* wake up and make that carrot cake pleaseeeeeee :p

See ya at the Diner ;) and thanks for stopping by the "truckstop" :)

LOL, the flax oil I'm taking for my severe dry skin. I've got atopic dermititis. None of the creams and stuff from the dermatologist ever work, so I decided to do some research on my own. I'm actually taking flax in two different forms. The flax oil pills I take with every meal and there's flax in the Kashi cereal. I haven't actually tried the flax oil itself. I've read that it tastes really good, has a nutty flavor, but if left unrefrigerated for too long or is not used quick enough, it gets rancid fast, which might account for what you had.

It seems to be working, I had a large spot on my ankle that was really bad, really bad. And now there's only a couple of spots about the size of a skittle now on my ankle.

T2, I'll be making that carrot cake tonight, but might not be low fat/cal anymore. It's going to be a b-day cake for a work friend and she wants coconut and walnuts in it now.

Hmm, flaxseed oil for dry skin, huh? I might see how I can incorporate this in my daughter's diet. She has really dry skin, diagnosed with eczema as a baby. It is much better than it was, I must say but we have to slather her up in lotions now and it's not very effective. I'm going to look into this. Thanks for the tip.

Try actual flax seeds. I think all you need is 1-2 tbsp per day and it can be mixed into other things, like yogurt and tastes pretty good. I really like the Kashi cereal w/flax seeds.

Food for the day

Before breakfast workout: none, was very sore today

Breakfast
Two small tortillas sprinkled with 1/4 cup 2% cheddar cheese nuked for one minute while cooking two scrambled eggs on the skillet with non-stick spray. Egg is then layered in between the two tortillas and then nuked for another minute until everything sticks. And sliced like a pizza.

She really likes the Kashi cereals...can't keep her out of mine! Guess I can't run her out of my cereal anymore, huh? She loves my Kashi waffles too...I'll have to read the box for flaxseed in those.

Thanks girlie! :)

So, tomorrow is probably going to be a bad food day, however I try to minimize it. Somehow I got roped into doing the entire menu for tomorrow, not sure how it happened. It's a co-workers b-day and of course we always do food.

So I made traditional banana muffins (that's with the butter and everything), I'm one of those people who rarely follow a recipe so I couldn't tell you how much of everything I put in. Basically until it looks right.

Homemade chili, it's still in the crockpot. This might be my saving food as I know two cups of it will have less than 400 cals.

And then for her b-day cake, will be carrot cake with pineapple, coconut and walnuts with cream cheese frosting, sprinkled with additional walnuts. Needless to say, I will have a very, very small piece of that.
