I'm thinking about trying that calorie cycling idea.

So weighed in this morning and I'm still at 222.5, so I'm going to go ahead and update my siggie. I'll update my ticker on Friday, assuming the weight holds. Today's my big calorie day. I'm hoping I'll make it. I filled the crockpot with another version of my veggie chili, so we'll have to see how it tastes tonight. I found a bag of mixed beans in the frozen food area and it had only 20mg of sodium per serving. Unfortunately, the canned tomatoes and such still have way too much as far as I'm concerned. I think I'll switch to fresh tomatoes in the next batch and see if I can't get that sodium level down.

Right now for one cup of the veggie chili is:
Calories: 147
Fat: .55g
Sodium: 442
Carb: 27
Fiber: 7
Protein: 7
And a bunch of other stuff that I track.
 
Veggie chili... my husband loves all kinds of chili. You call it chili and he's there ready to eat it. haha Glad your lbs stayed off!! YAY!! I better speed up or you'll be caught up with me and passing me before I know it!! :)

Woke up this morning with the sinus headache that I went to sleep with the night before and it was making me naseous after breakfast.

Breakfast
1.5 cups Quaker oatmeal squares, cinnamon
.5 cup skim milk
Total: 398

Mid-morning Snack
Hershey SmartZone peanut butter bar
Total: 200

Lunch
3 cups hot tea
most of an apple
Total: 75

Supper (early supper)
2 cups new veggie chili
20 saltine crackers
Total: 544

Am going back to work here in a bit to finish off my shift. Treating myself to some naughty stuff when I get back to work as I'm feeling better now. :)

Mid-evening Snack
1 can of Sprite (12 oz)
1/3 dove dark chocolate bar
Total: 310

I'll be back home tonight about 8pm and might have something for a small snack then. We'll have to see how I feel.

Right now my total for the day: 1527 calories. Really low for me but I really haven't exercised in the last couple of days. I was going to Taebo yesterday, but ended up cleaning the kitchen instead.
 
How'd the veggie chilli go. I got a crock pot, but I never use it. I need to find some good low cal recipes for the weekends
 
Well, as it was my first time with the frozen mixed beans, not so hot. I don't think the beans were fully cooked so they soaked up more of the liquid then I expected. It still tastes pretty good, but it's still a work in progress.

I love my crockpot. My family's favorite receipe is the beef stroganoff. In the morning before work, I slice round steak (cheap, lean & easy meat) into strips and throw it in the crockpot (amount depends on how many are eating and how much we want for leftovers) Throw in frozen chopped onions (I'm all about convienence) 1 can of campbell's golden mushroom soup, 1 can campbells beefy mushroom soup, & two cans of water or so. I kind of eyeball it depending on how much meat there is. You want a lot of extra water, because when you get home from work, you turn the crockpot from low heat to high heat and throw in however much wide egg noodles you want. And let it set for about a half an hour. Usually during this time, I run upstairs and change clothes, set the table, clear out the dishwasher and by then it's ready. I have no idea on the calories or anything, because I made this before my "lifestyle change".

Another good one is chicken noodle soup, so easy. I make roasts in it w/potatoes. Chicken breasts cook up great in it. BBQ beef.

Yeah, so I could only drink about half of the can of sprite and only two little squares of the chocolate. It was too much sugar. Blech.

Total for the day is now: 1324. I'm really not hungry at all. I'm probably going to do a workout after my daughter goes to bed at 9.

Crock pots rock, they are so easy to fix good lowcal stuff in, i like to put chicken breasts and stirfry frozen veggies with a packet of liptons dry soup mix and some water let it simmer all day and whala a tasy lowcal supper! you are doing so good and your recipies sound yu:D mmy

I'm feeling run down. I think I'm going to push myself the rest of this week, but then take it easy next week. Maybe just a bit of walking and keeping my cals back at around 1800 starting Sunday. This trying to cycle my calories up over 2000 is hard work.
 
Sorry you are feeling run down...:( You probably should take it a little easier next week if your body is telling you you are tired. Hope you perk up soon! :)

Not sure if I'll be hungry later this evening. Right now my total for the day is: 1734 calories. And I need to go out and mow my front lawn. See ya!!
 
Today in Jersey it was only 77 degrees....and that was late afternoon.

Hope everythings going well Manaloa! Btw: How do you pronounce your screen name? Is it Man-uh-low-uh?
 
:( I'm sorry Manaloa... I hate when you gaina little! It's the worst!! That's why I don't wheigh myself when I think I may have gained! I weigh myself when I feel thin! haha. Hope you feel better! It's labor day weekend cheer up and have a good one!!
