Fatty.2 : Revenge of the chub.

Pot brownies; that's a double-evil, is what that is.
Also, adore you to death, but sincerely had no idea your name was Hana.

I was perfectly content calling you Sonny.
I think I'll keep that up, actually :D

Thanks Tiggy!! I still FAILED horribly though!!!

SoCo! I am shocked and AMAZED that you didn't know my name. I may never forgive you. ;) Don't worry, I think most people know me as some variation of Sunflower! :dupe:

I'm a failure as well since I didn't know your name either. :( Ah well.

Congrats on the weight loss. Mine goes in spurts like that too sometimes. I'll stick at the same weight for two weeks, and then lose 4 pounds in a couple of days. It can be maddening sometimes!

DRAT! I was really rooting for you to win! So what happens when you weigh in 3 days from now? A new exercise challenge, or the same ones each time?

Congrats on the super loss by the way! You're doing great!

I don't know yours either Blue so I fail as well :( *waves* I'm Hana :grouphug:

Derrick, I am a terribly poor student who has no food in the house apart from this bloody bread which MUSTTT be eaten! Think me up a protein filled breakfast and I'll pick up the stuff I need when I do a shop :p

Tigs, I KNOW! I can't believe I lost. I did so well as well :( 3lbs in 3 days is AWESOME! And the pain meds have bunged my bum up so I'm not even gone to the loo since...maybe friday? Jeez..I think it was Friday :/ So I could have lost even more! Damn my bum!! We're thinking of new punishments for every weigh-in. Can be something like walking somewhere where we'd normally get the bus, getting on the cross-trainer, not being allowed fizzy drinks or sweets for the next 3 days or no crisps. Basically some sort of 3 day rule that ends when we next weigh in.

I think it's a good idea as we are both very competitive :D

Poor students unite! Lol.
That can definitely make the battle of losing weight a little more difficult but fish is a great protein and rather cheap. Try it!

I always do better when there is a little competition on the lines too! I'm also very competitive! Some of my friends won't even play games with me anymore - it's that bad!
Sorry to hear you have been going through some pain! I hope you feel better soon and kick some butt in the next challenge!!

Bec, I don't eat fish so I don't get very much protein :( Will try and find supplements I think!

Lisa, some of my friends have stopped playing with me recently, especially video games. Or monopoly. I kick ass at monopoly!

Well, I just got up from sleeping after my night shift. Went well. Ate a little too much. Conor turned his phone on silent and took my keys so I was locked out front at 7am for about 45 mins which was not amusing. Going to work soon but have dinner plans tonight so looking at what I can have!

This morning I weigh in at 185 on the dot. Yesterday I was like 186.7 so I'm really pleased. :D That's another pound smashed! I'm aware my body can fluctuate like that day to day but it's been about 35 hours since my last weigh in and this way motivates me much more than weekly weigh ins right now--I like knowing if I'm gonna kick Conor's butt!! :hurray:

I weigh myself almost daily as well. We get to know our bodies and we know what to expect day to day. It's a huge boost in the morning to get up and see a new low, and the little bumps up make me try harder to stay on track. But the HUGE bumps up (like 4 to 6 lbs overnight) just make me cry.

For some reason I just got a mental image of going to the scale daily like going to confession (even though I'm not catholic) and saying "Bless me scale, for I have gained. It has been 35 hours since my last weigh in". :biggrinjester:

LOL on wanting to kick Conor's butt - I hope you do!

Eggs are cheap. For breakfast make this: Three eggs total (two egg whites and one whole egg) into a bowl and stir them up. Heat up a non stick pan to medium heat. Use a tiny bit of butter or ghee butter or something to coat the pan but as soon as it melts smear it around with a paper towel so as only a small bit of residue coats the pan. The rest stays on the paper towel. Poor the egg mix out of the bowl into the pan and make yourself an omelette. You can add a little bit of low fat cheese for even more protein and better taste (more calories though but not too bad). Finally, fold the omelette one more time if you can so it is about the size of a piece of bread. Take two pieces of wheat bread (toasted if you prefer) and throw the omelette in the middle to make a omelette sandwhich so to speak. You can add your favorite salsa if you'd like. You can also eat with an apple or even oatmeal on days you are going to exercise hard. On most days I would try to eat with just the bread or maybe only one piece of bread and an apple. You'll get 13 grams of protein from that egg mix and only 4.5 grams of fat. I think protein becomes even more critical when you are doing moderate to intense cardio or resistance training. You'll want to make sure you save as much muscle as possible otherwise you'll just end up looking thin and soft when you reach your final goal weight. You probably know all of this already. I just like repeating things that are sometimes obvious to people. Serves as sort of a reminder for all of us. ;)

Hey Sunflower!

I've seen you all around the WL forum, but haven't come across your diary until now. It looks like you've been doing great! Your pics at the start of the thread really show how much dedication you have and I'm sure you've made even more progress since those pics were taken!

I just wanted to say congrats and I'll pop by once in a while to see how you're doing!

P

hey!
you seem to be doing great!!
why not try quinoa for protein? its realy nice and easy/quick to make.
it s good for breakie with honey/almond
or i usually eat for lunch with veggies and feta cheese etc.
keep up the good job - good luck with the weigh ins :)

hi sunflower! i just wanted to say congrats on all your hard work and way to use competition to push yourself! also, it may have been mentioned, but did you know Hana is also japanese for flower?

Wowww, lot's of lovely messages!

Tigs: I have a slight heart attack every time I step on the scale most mornings! It fluctuates so much but it gives me that extra boost if I've lost a little to up my game and if I've put on I'm even more motivated to shift it by the next morning! I'm a whore to my scales!!

Derrick, I'm off food shopping today! Will buy lots of eggs! Thanks for the excellent advice and encouragement.

Thanks for stopping by Alta!! We can do ittttt!

Hey PLB :) Thanks for posting! I've seen your posts as well :D Thanks for the kind words x

Thanks for the tip Justina, will look into quinoa as I'm not sure what it is :/ Do they have it in England?

kureransu, thank you! (hey, that rhymes! :p). I did know that my name means flower in Japanese! :) Much better than what the way it's normally spelled means. Favored by God! I'm the least religious person out there! Flower is much nicer :D Thanks for posting :D

So, had a busy few days. Drank far too much wine. Went out the night before last and drank about 3.5 bottles. To myself. Insane. Needless to say I'm staying away from it for a while! :puke: Despite coming on my time of the month yesterday AND having breakfast this morning, when I weighed in after my bath I was the same weight. Well, down about .3 but wont count that. So I'm pretty happy. Yank has put on a pound from his drinking binge!! Although he still lost overall for the 3 days I'm saying I've won :D My turn to punish! Mwahaahahahahaha :reddevil:

My little sister (5'5 and weighs about 105lbs. SO UNFAIR) is coming to stay tonight so I can take her to visit a Uni in a town nearby tomorrow. Am getting a take-away but feel that if I'm good and don't eat TOO much and am very, very good the rest of the day, I'll be okay :D I've done really well considering we only started this last week! 4lbs in 6 days is awesome! :hurray:

Hey Hana

i would paste some link for you - but got really told off for it once - so i m scared now :angelsad2:

Just google quinoa - you ll find a lot of useful info on it

My sister lives in England - and she says she buys it in morrison. so i guess if morrison sells it - probably most supermarkets will have it.

Have fun with your sister :)

I second that - have a great time with your sister!! I love it when my sisters come to visit!
Also great work kicking Yank's behind this time! Keep it up Hana! Have a great weekend!

If you think you may have messed up the eggs somehow, don't give up. It might take you a couple tries to get it just right. It's not hard at all but sometimes you can burn the omelette a little, depending on the temperature you fried it at, the amount of butter you did or did not use and finally the type of pan you are using.

Good luck!
