Thanks for stopping by my diary Anna :) Carrots are super!

I've got to hope you're talking about my entertaining yet devastating wit and charm rather than my inability to put a coherent sentence together and my rampant crumpet addiction.

This line made me laugh on the train this morning. I actually looked up crumpets online the other day because I had no idea what they were (and because of you, I wanted to know!). They look like English muffins, which we have here in the US, but my boyfriend (who spent a week in London a couple of years ago) assures me they are not the same.

Oh crumpets are awesome. I was fortunate to find some here in Canada recently and they are sinful! Specially with gobs of butter that fill every pore and gush down your chin when you take a bite! Nom Nom Nom!

Heyy Laura! Yeah, your boyfriend was right--they are totally different to English Muffins. They are SOOOO good. Get him to bring you some back when he next comes to this side of the pond!

Flumezoob, you are making me hungry!! I could live on crumpets. Crumpets and butter, crumpets and cream cheese, crumpet and marmite, beans on crumpet. SO YUMMY. And less cals than two slices of bread! :hurray:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Despite going insane from lack of sleep, I've actually been eating quite well this week. Which is why I was incredibly cross when I decided to weigh in this morning after a good days eating yesterday and weighed in at 12 stone 8!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, twelve stone fucking eight. I'm really pissed. I was like 12 3 the last time I weighed in last week.

*wails* I'm so fattttttt. :willy_nilly:

I'm hoping it's because I ate a butt-ton of salt the last few days. Or because I didn't have dinner until midnight last night & then went straight to bed. Because I'm not eating badly!

Anyway; fatty out.

:piggy:

Breakfast: skipped
Lunch: noodle soup (50) pnb sammich (300)

I feel your pain Sunflower - I hate when those bastards scales are mean to me! And I wish I was twelve stone fucking eight haha!! Make my target seem so much more feasible! Just gotta keep plodding through right?!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that it is just the salt etc and next time you weigh yourself you'll be back on track!

PS If you keep talking about crumpets I'm gonna end up rushing to the shop and buying about forty thousand! Haha

Get crumpets!! I've run out and as a result I've had 3 cheese strings in like an hour. I go through obsessions with food!

I'm feeling a bit more positive today--Not got on the scales because I had a big brekkie this morning but am going to get some exercise tomorrow as I HAVE A DAY OFF! Yes, really. Shocker. Got a friend staying tonight so hitting town for drinkies but will try and be good and not order pizza :ack2:

Just doing some Uni work and chilling with the Yank today--Oh, he got published in a second literary magazine today!! Very exciting!! He's ever so good :) Will give you guys a link to the online version when it comes out if you want to read! :beating:

Feeling good today (despite the lack of crumpets) :D

Don't worry about the increase in weight. If you've been eating right then it can only be water retention.
I get obsessions with different foods all the time. I eat them practically every day for a couple of weeks and then go onto something else. At the moment my obsessions are bran, and also baked beans and jacket potato.
Well done to your boyfriend, looking forward to reading it. :D

I'm going to be sad if I don't hear about crumpets every time I check out your diary. Please get some more soon, haha. Hope you enjoyed the well-deserved day off!

Thanks guys :) Feeling much better about those pesky pounds now :)

I'm on my first night shift tonight so have been sleeping all day today (well, 6 hrs) in preparation. :willy_nilly:

I think it'll be fine but it's going to be very boring as this kid doesn't need much help during the night. Allowed to take my laptop and such so that's good and I can get on with some Uni work!

Will weigh in tomorrow morning maybe ^_^

Heya SunnyD!

Hope your doin great! And congrats to the Yank on his literary work!

Love to check it out! (Hope it has pictures to go with it! lol)

Take care!

ooooooh. How exciting!! Are you hopping on every few mins just because you are chuffed with your new purchase?!!! hehe a bit like the adult version of buying a new pair of shoes when you are a kid and taking them to bed with you!

Yeah, I love it! Going to do a proper work-out tonight which is good :) Supposed to be going out AGAIN for dinner tonight but think we'll miss it and have a healthy night in with baked potatoes!

I've been *very* naughty. After finding out that I'd put on some weight I had 3 days in a row where I had take-out pizza/kebab/chips/2 bottles of wine a day.

I really sucked! :nopity:

BUT, I have just brought enough slim-fast drinks to last a weeks worth of lunches so I'm back on the wagon with a big detox starting today! I'm goin gto do a week of slim-fast meal replacements for lunch/breakfast and eat dinner as normal (no more take away!) and do a work-out on my cross trainer once a day whilst watching Biggest Loser and stuff!

Back on the wagon, baby!

Breakfast: -
Lunch: low-cal noodle soup (47) low-fat wheat crisps (88)
Dinner: turkey dinosaurs (!) (300) jacket potato (160) rice (180)
Snacks: popcorn (300)

Total: 1075
Exercise: 100 calories on cross trainer

Sunshine! Great to hear bout your recent acquisition!!!! Hope you wear it out hun!

As for your 2 bottles a night of vino and food.....just be careful. (I hate being the father figure, but seeing I'm old enuff and am a father....listen up girl!)

There...I did it.

Just worried about ya bud. I know you've come a long way and hate to see you slide into the side of darkness (or fatness again) lol.

Good luck on gettin back on track and wish you the sweatiest of workouts on your new trainer!

Take care!

Thanks Flumebot <3 appreciate it. I'm fine though--Just partying hard because of Uni starting again and sad about those extra pounds I put on. But I'm bouncing back now! I've just done a work-out on ze trainer and I am SO unfit from not going to the gym in forever! I managed to do 100 calories and then just about died and fell off so I'm going to do another 100 before dinner later and then start building up to two lots of 200 a day, etc.

Excited!
Weigh in tomorrow so I'll keep you all updated!!

So, yesterday went really well :) Got some exercise (only a little, but still!) and ate very well! Today my parents came to Portsmouth to surprise me which was nice but got taken out for breakfast/lunch. Yank had a full English breakfast with sausages and fried bread but I just had a bacon sandwich which wasn't *too* bad. I think around 350 calories (only 2 slices of bacon and I cut the fat off them).

Just about to go on the cross trainer again before I go out with friends. Having dinner at a pub tonight but I'm going to have the salad and be good with a vodka and lime instead of wine. No more wine for me! Came on my time of ze month yesterday night so wont be weighing in today as am bloated as a small bloated thing.

Update: Just done another 100 calories on my cross trainer. It's so nice having it in my room. Can put on Biggest Loser, do 10 mins then have a break, then another 10 mins. So much easier than walking to the gym and having to do all the exercise in a 40 min slot.

Can anyone tell me if exercising in little chunks like that is not as good for you as exercising continuously for a period of time? I'm doing 100 calories 2 to 3 times a day when I get a spare 10 mins. Should I put aside 30 mins and do it all in one go or are the results the same?

Breakfast: bacon sandwich (350) :reddevil:
Lunch: yoghurt (100)
Dinner: reggae chicken breast in wrap with salad (364) cider (400)
Snacks: string cheese (47) sausage roll (200)

Total: 1461
Exercise: 200 calories on cross trainer.

Vodka and soda water is supposed to be the best way to consume alcohol without too many calories, so skipping the lime is a good decision! (I realize you didn't mention soda water, but I'm just sayin'). And I can't speak officially, but I've always heard that you can break up your exercising into smaller segments and it's pretty close to being just as beneficial as doing it all at once. Great job on the healthier breakfast! That's definitely a weakness I have, I basically choose whatever meal comes with the biggest variety of items and ask for that. Sometimes it's sadly called the "Lumberjack Special" or something very unappealing like that...but it doesn't stop me. Maybe I can be stronger now, though!

I'm watching Biggest Loser on my computer right now! Love that show.

Hey sunflower, not sure if you have it over there but here in the land of oz we have a campaign called 'be active' that suggests 30 mins of moderate exercise a day, or three sessions of 10 mins is just as good, so i think doing 10 min bursts on ur cross trainer is fine :) at the end of the day, its still the same number of calories burnt, right?

Glad to see you're still on track, looking great!!

xx
