Fatty.2 : Revenge of the chub.

Laura: Lumberjack special!? Oh my, Laura..Sounds.."healthy"? :drool5: Thanks for opinions on exercise. Will keep going as I am and see how it pans out!

Katie: Thanks also, glad to see you're back and on track as well! We can do itttttt!

I was very well behaved at dinner last night food wise. The girls had fishcakes and chips and a wrap with chips and I had one 364 calories wrap and LOVED every bite! Was hungry later but stayed up til 1am and ate dinner at 5pm so was to be expected. Had snacks later and drank lots of water! Very proud of myself. Would have been at around 1000 if it wasn't for that booze..Can't remember a day when I didn't have a drink or a hangover which isn't going to do my body any favours. No more booze! :gnorsi:

Done 100 calories (10 mins) on the cross trainer this afternoon and then I have a 30 min walk to work and then 30 mins back which is very good exercise for the day! I plan on doing another 100-200 calories on treadmill before dinner tonight as well. :ack2:

Breakfast: string cheese (47) ham and philli sammich (250)
Lunch: cucumber and low fat dip (30)
Dinner: pasta bake (800)
Snacks: tiny bit of sausage roll (50: they're all gone now, I promise!)

Total:1177
Exercise: 100 calories on treadmill. 1hr walking.

So today I'm in an awful mood. Yank has gone to Uni for the day and I'm not used to having him out the house--Had a horrid dream last night and have been anxious ever since and feeling on the verge of tears all day. Have this irrational fear that people are angry with me although I've done nothing wrong. Shitty day. Been waiting for an anxiety attack since 7 this morning :(

In eating news: I'm doing really well. Got a lot of exercise in yesterday and I'm walking home from Uni today which will be another 45 mins exercise on top of whatever I do on my cross trainer.

Will post again when I'm feeling more positive.

Breakfast: jelly pot (10)
Lunch: wholegrain crisps (131)
Dinner: burger with chips (995)
Snacks: -

Total: 1136
Exercise: 45 min walk

Sunflower - seriously well done for eating well when you're having a bad emotional day!! That's pretty hardcore - if I'm in a bad mood I'm so much more likely to fall flat on my face with everything! Just think, 10 more minutes from when I'm writing this and today will be OVER!!! I hope you have lots of lovely dreams tonight and wake up feeling happy and energetic tomorrow!

Keep going with your weight loss, you're doing fab!!! <3 xx

Thanks Jay :beating:

hey sunflower, I read elsewhere that interval training is better than steady cardio for weight loss so if you were doing your 10mins here and 10mins there at very high intensity each time, it would be better than a steady 30mins jog.

That said, you would also have to warm up each 10min set if you were going to try and do it at 100% effort.

Ideally we would all do 30mins a day interval training (sprint followed by walk and repeat) in one session for the best weight loss results.

But personally, I enjoy going for a steady 45min swim or run and just zone out - its relaxing that way.

And remember, any exercise is better than no exercise so if you can only do a couple 10mins sets each day, it is better than nothing but 90% of weight loss is through diet.

yeah I read getting your heart rate going up and down is beneficial - i.e. Fartlek training for runners. But to be honest, whatever you are doing is better than not doing stuff becuase you haven't got time, so if it works for you to fit in 10 mins here and there, heck, do that!

I've heard similar things but the personal trainer i saw yesterday said the key to losing weight is constantly mixing it up, because your body adapts so quickly. He suggested one or two interval sessions a week, and one or two longer distance paced events. He said mix up the activity too, the more variety, the better!!

Just a thought :)

Thanks for the feedback you guys ^_^ glad to know I'm on the right track.

Sooo, I can't drink for a WEEK! Not a big deal I know but it's a long time when I usually have a drink most nights. I'm on antibiotics because my nail is trying to grow into my skin on my toe and it's ouchy :( Hurts like a bitch to walk but I have a 5 mile trek with one of my kids tonight and could do with the exercise. Will just stay off the cross trainer today to make up for it. So no drinking for a week. Should be good for me, I suppose.

Breakfast: pitta bread with light philli (160)
Lunch: WW crisps (77) string cheese (47)
Dinner: PIZZZZZZA!
Snacks:

Total:
Exercise: 100 calories on ze xtrainer. 5 mile walk

ouch! Sounds horrible!! Be careful on your walk - you don't want to make all the ingrowing stuff worse!

Don't make the mistake I did a few weeks ago and think ya ya ya it'll be fine just to have a light bottle of beer or two whilst out with my friend - I'm nearly at the end of my course of antibiotics. URGH I felt sooooo ill!!!! It completely ruined my sushi restaurant treat (and I don't get to eat sushi THAT often so was kicking myself!).

Anyhow, a week without drinking might make you get to a "I can take it or leave" sort of place?! Not really worth the calories in my book - I'll have a drink now and again but I'd rather eat the cals in chocolate!!

That toe sounds painful, hope it gets better soon.
I'm with Jay. I'd much rather use calories on chocolate than alcohol but probably when I was your age I would have chosen the alcohol;)

I find it really hard to go without drinking..It's not just a student thing I don't think--I've drunk a lot ever since I was about 14 and it's gotten worse as I've gotten older. I'm kinda like a binge drinker but 4 times a week! My doctor referred me to a group meeting for heavy drinkers a while ago but it wasn't for me. This week off will do me good, I think. We'll see.

Ate like shite last night--all went downhill after the pizza! :puke:Back on track today and already done my cross trainer work-out for the morning.

Breakfast: string cheese (47)
Lunch: WW crisps (77)
Dinner: pasta (800)
Snacks: sunbite snack (113)

Total: 1037
Exercise: 30 min walk and 100 calories on cross trainer.

Sounds like the week off might be a nice change then...

I can't imagine eating pizza anymore - in fact, I can't remember the last time I ate pizza - it just seems...so alien!! LOL.

Good on you for jumping back on the cross trainer!

I adore pizza..Knew when I started my diet I would never want or have to cut it out if I ate it in moderation. Take-away pizza is a different story though--So greasy! I usually have 1/2 or 1/4 of a shop brought one that is lower in calories (usually around 400) with rice/salad etc. Yummmmmy!! Want to have a go at making my own on pitta breads soon ^_^

I'd never be able to stop at 1/4 or 1/2 of a home cooked pizza....If I'm cooking the whole thing, i want the whole thing....but if I don't eat pizza for ages, I never get to the point where I crave it...its only if its there in front of me.

SUNFLOWER!!!!!!
I'm back sort of :)

LOL I have nights like that with my Dad, sometimes involving great quantities of poo. There is no corner that poo can't find it's way into:ack2: Not the best of situations when you are half asleep, actually not the best of situations at anytime of day!!!!!!! I hope you get a good well deserved rest.

I am going to think of your last post every time I come home from a long day at the office thinking I had a bad day. Nothing that could happen to me in my cubicle could compare to your bad days! Hope you get some sleep tonight.

Yeah I have to admit, that also brings me down to earth!! My idea of a bad day at the office is getting a letter where someone hasn't agreed to my stunning technical argument...or a client gets raided...or I've had work dumped on me at the last minute and have to stay late...Not really a valid comparison to no sleep, poo duty and crying teenagers! Well done for getting through it and hope you don't throw up anymore!
