I had a look through that askamanager site, some really interesting stuff on there. The main thing I took away from it was to 'remain professional.' So that's what I'm going to do,.
Thank you Rob, don't be shy in giving advice, I love to hear other people's take on things.
Yeah, she's a tricky one, LaMa. I am just going to be polite to her but keep my guard up.
Thanks Petal, I really applied that for the rest of the week, and all was good.
Right, it's been a while since I got the chance to update this place. I've had a very busy week.

I'll run through the week now.
Tuesday - I went for a walk with my work friend and it was lovely. We discussed the Bikram documentary on Netflix, as we are both into yoga. I ended up having the red wine that evening instead. Whoops. I watched a really weird but brilliant movie called Climax on Netflix.
Wednesday - I was a bit tired from the wine, but got through the day. I was called in last minute to do the yoga reception, but when I got there, there was another woman already covering it. Annoying. I went home and watched Air Crash Investigation with my dad. My mum was out for the evening, so he bought us a cupcake and an apple Danish, and we had half each. If she was there, she would have given out, so we were being sneaky, hehe.
Thursday - Our office had a Christmas lunch out in a Michelin star restaurant down by the coast. The food was outstanding. We went for a lovely coastal walk afterwards and a few more drinks. There was a really good atmosphere and I think everyone enjoyed it.
Friday - Even though we'd had an early finish the day before, I was so tired in work all day. I was also super busy and had to stay till 6.30 pm. I went for a short swim (22 laps) and jacuzzi session after, then went to SG's for some pizza and wine. He asked me to take a trip with him. I was so chuffed with that. We wanted to go before Christmas but I don't think it will work out with holidays so it will probably be in January now.
Saturday - Got a wax and went to a gig. Good day overall but I was very tired.
That brings us to today. I'm taking it easy, as things were a bit hectic. My dad's cousin who is in her 80s (I think) is here with us today for Sunday lunch. She's a really nice lady. I turned down the wine, as I feel I've drank enough this week. Not doing too much for the rest of the evening, just want to recuperate really.
Overall, it was a disastrous week in terms of food and planned exercise, but I did a lot of walking and my weight is still in the 170s, so I have to be happy about that. I have a work trip on Tuesday next week, but other than that, I think it should be a lot calmer. I had a good sleep last night but I need to slow down the drinking and try to get a better routine going this week. I will probably meet SG next Saturday again, but I don't think I have any more events coming up for a week or two. Christmas will be a different story, but I'm really going to try my best to enjoy it. And, of course, I've loads of plans for the New Year. My main things will be to stop smoking, one exercise thing per day, restrict alcohol a lot more, and really tackle my eating habits. Sounds so easy, eh?
