Emerald's Between

I was just reading a few older threads and got a little worried and think that I should clarify something.

I eat 1200 calories a day. But that's how many I eat NOW. I don't want you all to think that's how I started my lifestyle change. When I first started out, I ate some where around 1700 or so for an amount of time. It has since gone down twice. While losing my first 50lbs I was eating about 1500. Now, as of this past December, I am down to 1200 with doctor approval. My body isn't starving and this is as low as I'm going to go. If I plateau after this I'm going to have to figure out what I will do because I am not going below 1200. I will probably zig zag, or go to maintenance for a while and then go back to 1200 again. Anyway, I lose between 1-2 lbs a week.

So if there is someone new out there who saw my results and then read that I eat 1200 please understand that it's my current way of eating. It's not how I started out. Check with your doctor and be good to your body.

Glad to clear that up ^_^

I have seen you posting a few things for other people and you always have something pleasant and helpful to say, so I thought I would take a moment to add the following for you:
First of all:

"It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else."
— Erma Bombeck

so well done you, and:

"Keep away from those who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you believe that you too can become great."
--Mark Twain

so in conclusion> well done you, congratulations on your success to date and power to you.

Cate + LikeOmgWhatev + Sarin + WeightWizard:

You guys are going to make me cry. When hard work is noticed like this it's one of the best feelings in the world. Thank you all so much!

Cate: Of course I rep'd you. You're awesome!
LikeOmgWhatev: You think so? gosh *blush* Thank you
Sarin: I get that a lot. I was fortunate not to look 225lbs when I was that weight either. You have similar stats to me? I'll keep my eye on you then ^_~ *wink
WeightWizard: That honestly just boosted my mood. Thanks hun. You're so sweet!

I am glad to hear that! :hug2:

You look fantastic! And you're right - it's hard to post the pictures! I find it's even hard to take the "before" pictures! Although, pictures like that, and your confidence, encourage us beginners!!

Thank you! And you look AMAZING!!!

'You go girl!'

Thanks wired! Thanks Tik ^_^

Hubby brought germs home from the office so I've been so sick this month. I haven't done any exercise at all. How I miss my HIIT workouts. So I've been bed-ridden for a few weeks. Even so, I've still lost 6lbs this month. I measured myself a few days ago and I've lost a meter all over my body. That's awesome.

I've been SO BORED. Hubby got me one of those paint-by-numbers today LOL. It's so nice to have something to do!

Tonight we're watching The Truman Show since my husband has yet to see it. I've made us a platter of movie goodies. The total calories is 385 per person. We each get 3 meatballs, 3 sushi, 10 soy crisps, 1 cup air popped popcorn, assorted veggies with jalapenos and a spoon of marinara alongside hummus.

Oh my!! that looks soooo yummy! You sound like you have a sweet husband! That's so sweet of him to bring a treat home for you!

I'm sorry to hear you haven't been feel good :( But girl, WOW look at you go! 6lbs in a month you're not feeling well! ANNNNND a meter! *speechless* you're doing fantastic!!!

Very inspiration, and your pictures look great. Kudos to you and a job wonderfully done, keep going! Truman Show is one of my favorite movies, excellent choice you two have made in watching that.

Thanks for your kind words StuntDouble. ^_^

Tik I was surprised myself lol But I had a feeling I would still lose an ok amount since I am still eating well. The meter was the best part though! But I have to step it up though because I slapped BikiniBound2011 with a fancy white overly expensive glove and challenged her to a duel! It's to see who can lose 5lbs first in February. IT'S ON!:boxing:

Had to drop by to see what I'm up against.... :)

Like everyone else has said, you look fabulous! I wish I could carry my weight as well as you! Looking forward to our challenge. :D

Wow this is fun since I am pretty much at the same although I don't look as sexy as you lol. I am 5'3 and currently at 152. I will be starting my 2nd month of P90x this Wednesday and I have a very loose goal of hitting 130ish by June.

Do you go to crossfit for HIIT or just do it at home?

Thank you. Congrats on finishing your 1st month of P90X!
I do 90% of my HIIT at home. The other 10% is maybe made up of some outdoors area like when I'm using the tennis court to do suicide sprints. Those things are suicidal!
