Are you doing exercise and tension/weight training? Weight isn't always a great indicator of fat loss because if you put on muscle and lose fat then you'll get smaller (muscle is more compact than fat) but stay the same weight.

:p I'm very aware of this. I'm a Biology Student and I was taught that back in Bio 101. lol Thank you ^_^

The above numbers are rustic and informal estimates based on simple algebra using my entire weight and measurement history throughout this 13 month period.

It's a great way to gauge what may or may not happen as I lose weight.

Thanks for stopping by Frosteh:seeya:

Cool, is your biology knowledge helping you lose weight?

Honestly most of the success from my journey is because of simple common sense guided decisions, support from my husband and people here. If I were to need to eat or do anything, that would probably require a lot of research for the average person to make a good decision , I'd most likely already have the details I need to move on to the next step.

Other than that, I find that I really don't need to have a stack of books or use a special machine to have success.

It all boils down to making good choices, working hard and having perseverance.

I guess there really aren't any tricks or short cuts, as much as we'd like there to be. I do a lot of reading about weight loss and I find there is so much bunk and conflicting information, the only way I can possibly trust anything is by sticking to advice if it has sound scientific backing.

How the heck are you gonna lose 50 pounds? looks like you got some nice legs =D holy moly. I can't imagine your body fat% being unhealthy. looking super good haha.

Thank you. In that picture (which is from 7 months ago) I looked ok for my weight. I've never really "looked my weight". I'm fortunate in that way. But I was and am still unhealthy so no matter how I looked on the outside, I needed to change my lifestyle so that I looked great on the inside.

At 5'3" and 176 (from the pictures) I was obese.

I'm now 147lbs. I still have a little ways to go.

Thank you for the confidence boost lol ^_^

Hey Hun,

How have you been going? I thought you were going to be putting pictures up :p

I'm back again. For the 3rd time. Funny how shit happens right?

Anyway, you're one of my biggest motivators. I too don't look like I weigh as much as I do, but I'm so unhealthy and have those love handle things everywhere!

Hope to see more progress pics of you missy! Give me a month and I'll put mine up too *deep breath*.

Wow why haven't I posted pictures yet! lol

I'm down below 145lbs now so I'll be getting close to 100lbs lost so far soon! ^_^

I'm so happy to be motivating you. Reading that motivates me back. It's an endless cycle.

This is what they were really talking about on Lion King.... I'm pretty sure of it...

Thanks you for stopping by. I've thought of you and I'm glad to hear from you again :seeya:

Thanks Emerald for stats.

I have lost before and got it all back. even if i was close to ideal i never seems to loose inches in my waist or hips.

may be i will keep this as a chart to compare mine.

thanks for thinking someone maybe wondering.

Hi Emerald,

I was wondering what was your dress or pant size at:

225

175

and now at 145,

I am at 238 and a size 14. I am a mesomorph so people constantly think I weight ~20 - 30lbs less.

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks :bigear:

I was a size 16 in pants at 225lbs in May 2010.

Size 14 at 175lbs

I just bought new jeans three days ago and I couldn't even buy 12 like I thought I would. Instead I had to get a size 10 and I'm 145lbs.

I am very sure that I'll be a size 8 soon because this size 10 is much too comfortable lol. Maybe in 3 months I'll be a size 8.

I don't have a pants size goal or anything like that though.

I had such low confidence at 225lbs that I didn't own a dress so I don't know what my dress size was. I'm going to buy some now though. ^_^

I have all of this on a chart in Exel. I've recording everything since the beginning.

Here's a few more size changes.

My shirt size was XL at 225lbs, a M at 175lbs and now I'm a S depending on the brand at 145lbs.

My shoe size was 9W and now I'm 8.5 regular.

My ring size was 9 and now as of a week ago it's 5.75 (My jewelers eyes grew so wide. He found it completely unbelievable and thought I was just lying. He didn't believe me at all until he measured me. Then he said "How did you do it? Please write a book." LOL)

These are all of my true weights, measurements and sizes. I think recording everything was one of the best things I've done in this entire process. Just looking back on the Exel sheet gives me so much motivation to keep going and I am so proud of myself. My confidence had grown to a comfortable and humble range now.

I recommend anyone to log their progress. Take pictures and write/type up their journey.

I don't mind sharing these thing especially if it can motivate someone.

Thanks for stopping by hun. ^_^
