I finally have the courage to do this. Please be kind lol :blush5:

These were taken today by my husband. It's my "between" pictures. I used to weigh 225lbs in April 2010. I'm halfway to my goal weight.

Stats:
Height: 5'3"
Weight In Pics Below: 176lbs
Doctors Goal Weight: 125-135lbs
Main Workouts: HIIT

You look great. Your exercising is sure paying off! You give people a lot of motivation when they can see someone's great results. Keep up the good work!
 
It takes bravery to show these pics but I'm glad I did. I'm getting motivated from you all.

Wow...I'm totally not seeing your weight or where you could possibly lose the rest you have mentioned. You look great!!!!!! You should be very proud!!

...and I really do weigh 176 lol. My husband has always said "You don't look your weight." I've thought that he was just being nice. But a lot of you are saying it too. Thank you!
 
I'll copy and paste the answer I gave to a nice person yesterday but I'll add more things that I forgot to mention.


My favorite workouts are HIIT workouts since they are short and to the point. I really don't like working out for a long period of time and if I do it needs to be worth it so I'd do P90X (1hr). I officially do strength training 3 times a week but I do ab or thigh work sometimes even when I'm bored or can't sleep that night lol. How many calories I eat is important to me but the ingredient label is just as important. I try to strictly criticize ingredient lists. My BMR is 1830 (the average of both Harris-Benedict and Mufflin formula). As of December '10 I never eat more than 1200 Cal a day. Sometimes I just can't eat 1200 since I drink so much water and it fills me to the brim. I drink a gallon (128 ounces) of water a day. When I wake I immediately get my husband and I some warm lemon water to drink and we then wait 45 min before eating breakfast. Other than lemon water or cucumber water, the only liquids I drink are plain water and tea. I take in non-fat milk when I'm having a protein shake or Kashi Puff cereal or something like that though. I add soluble fiber to my foods/water sometimes. I eat 5 times a day. Low fat meals. We rarely ever eat out since I love cooking. We measure EVERYTHING. I'm a "volume eater" so I pack my meals with veggies. Lastly I try to stay positive which isn't always the easiest thing but I search for and get motivation from a lot of things. ^_^

Please understand that this is what works for me. I'm not on any diet program what so ever. This is me. Everyone is different.

I hope this motivates you. You've all motivated me.

It's so interesting to me that a nice number of people had something supportive to say, and I was just starting to feel good about myself for the first time in a long time. But today I got a private message from a guy on this site saying that I don't really look that good in the pics, all of a sudden I feel down. I haven't eaten or exercised much today......
It's funny how that happens....

I don't know how someone could possibly say that you don't look good. I think you look fantastic.

If anything it sounds like jealousy to me.

Keep your chin up and don't let this get you down.

Do not allow yourself to feel down because of someone's pettiness. You look absolutely fantastic and have an amazing figure! What are your measurements currently?

We measure ourselves in a few days actually so I will know my measurements soon.

I think I'll go ahead and do some boxing on the Wii for a while. :boxing:
