How much weight do you want to lose?
5.5kg. I started at 62kg, I am currently 57.4kg and I would like to be 52kg.
However I feel as though this is not going to happen. So i'm not going to be measuring my progress by the scale, rather how my clothes fit and measurements.

What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight?
I don't really have a time frame. I would like to be more happy with myself by swimming season (December 2008) but October would be better.

How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?
I count calories, I just make sure I stay within a general range (1200-1500 calories). And limit the amount of sugars and junk food in my diet, but not be overly restrictive.
I will also be exercising every day, maybe one rest day per week. I am thinking about training for a 10km event in October, so I would like to gradually work my way up to that distance. I can do 5km at the moment. I also do strength training once or twice a week, I just hate it!
I also would like to play a team sport.

Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?
Myself really. I am completly self motivated and independant.

How realistic is your goal?
Not very realistic I do not think, but it is something to work towards.

When will you start?
I started August 2007

What is your current height and weight?
170cm and 57.4kg.

If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?
52kg.

At what weight would you like to be at four months from now?
54kg

Why do you want to lose weight?
To be able to wear anything I want! To look GOOD in the clothes, to FEEL good in whatever I wear. To be able to wear a bikini on the beach and not be self concious.
I run however for fun and for fitness, not to lose weight.

What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
My love for sugar :(

Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
I do not have a weight problem now, but if I do not continue on the straight and narrow I might.

What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?
Making exercise fun and something I WANT to do! Making healthy food yummy!

Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
I have lost weight in the past. I was diagnosed with Anorexia at age 10 and it continued for 7 years, was the worst period of my life. Despite being 5'7" I was weighing less than 100lbs. My illness will affect my for the rest of my life, but I have learnt from it. I became heavily interested in health and nutrition and know now the healthy way to do this. Part of my recovery included gaining muscle, which I have increased from 75lbs of lean body mass to 92lbs which I am extremely proud of.

In February this year I achieved my goal weight of 54kg. However, I binged A LOT and my weight crept up to 58kg. I was going through a lot in that period of time however that is not an excuse. I would really like to get back to where I was by October.

Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back?
Eating too much - Plain and simple. I am 100% responsible for my actions.

What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work?
Starvation.

Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
Been doing it for a year!

Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
Sometimes I cook at home. I live at home with my parents and my mum generally cooks. I offer to cook sometimes too. If I do it will always be something simple like grilled hamburgers with salad, or tuna bake pie. I go out a bit with my boyfriend but he is a health nut so we always buy healthy fast food like Nandos or Subway.

How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
I buy my lunch 3/7 days per week.
I probably eat dinner out once per week.

My stomach would be flat and muscular, I would have obliques and abs! My arms would be shaped and muscular, my ankles would be leaner, I would have rock hard calves, sculpted back, nice shoulders, no love handles, slender legs.

Sometimes

Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
No. Also a binge for me is very different to a binge for someone else. Eating a bar of chocolate is a 'binge' for me.

No

Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed?
No, I don't have an appetite when I am depressed.

Nope

Yeah

I currently run a 6 minute kilometre, so I think in 10 weeks I can build my speed up to 5 minute per kilometre.

Nutrition will be vital for this, so I will be going back to maintenance calories up until the event.

Maintenance: 1700 Calories (BMR + Lifestyle)
I plan to eat the calories that I burn on top of that. So on run days I will eat an extra 400 calories (oooooh fooood).

However, because my calories have been reduced for almost a years I will start on 1500 calories a day and work my way up from that. Next week I will increase it to 1550, then to 1600, then to 1650 then to 1700 as to readjust my metabolism.

I am soooooooooo exited! Im hoping my work is going to sponsor me!
 
Hey just checking in and it sounds great how motivated you are! Great job staying on track!

I have heard a bunch of people talking about Twilight. I don't know if I have time to read right now with work catching up to me, but it sounds like something I would be interested in. And don't worry about the dork thing, I have an oddly strange obsession with Harry Potter.....hahaha
 
You could possibly like Twilight, the thing about harry potter is ANYONE can like it, the difference in fans is endless. The target for Twilight is really 15-22 but a lot of older women such as mothers read it.

If you dont have much time to read it I wouldn't advise doing so! Its ADDICTIVE!

Tomorrow I will be doing an easy run of 6km outside, its a beautiful run, down by the waterfront. A BIG hill on the way back but thats probably a good thing!

Yeah I wouldn't advise on reading my diary its pretttttty boring!

I am nearly 20 (in October)!

I started off at 140lbs and am now 127ish... however im trying to maintain at the moment cause I dont think its the best to diet whilst training for a 10km run.

I will be running outside tomorrow, unless the weather is terrible and then I will run on the treadmill.
I am going to be doing the same run as I did yesterday - 6km - but I want to do it in under 35 minutes. 40 minutes is a terrible time for me, someone as young as me should be able to do it quicker! Even at 35 minutes it is 5.8min/km. Plan of attack will be running from the time I get out of the door, pacing myself on the flats, running faster down the hills, and really pushing myself up the hills.
I reckon I will only be running on the treadmill when the weather is terrible.
I bought a new pair of running tights, the ones I have now are Nike DryFit long leggings, and they feel amazing to run in! They have zips at the ankles so when I am HOT AS when I get back I can just unzip them and the cool air feels so good...

TODAY. Today I will be walking down to town, have to get a few things for my boss, might have a look in a few surf shops. I feel like buying clothes. Found some really nice stuff on AE.com and A&F but the shipping is just outrageous, might see if I can find something similar here.

Jeans are feeling a little tighter ARGHHH... not going to get on the scales though.
 
Oooh, new workout clothes! I really need to get some, it sounds like those running tights are awesome!

I only have one outfit of workout clothes that I have to wash everyday. I'm sure everyone at the gym thinks I'm the smelly kid!
