How long do I run? I will do a light jog to the track. Then I usually will work either 100, 200, or 400 meter runs. Or as I posted above, last night I sprinted back and forth between soccer goals, doing pullups on the goals.

Makes me jealous, the only time I wish I was a man is when I see fighters like those. Of course, women fight too, but they don't really seem to be taken as seriously or get as much attention. You could argue that, but mind you I say "don't really seem" and "get as much"--I'm not talking in absolutes, here.

I don't like seeing women get beaten up. I think Gina Carano is hot though. But I had rather see her working out or in her underwear at the weight ins.

Also don't let the video of BJ training fool you. he is notoriously lazy. Most would say that his only losses have come due to cardio. As in he beat the hell out of the guy in round 1 and 2 then gassed. He also doesnt believe in weight classes so he will occasionally fight guys 50-100 lbs heavier than him. He claims to have seen the error in his ways and has looked great his last 3 fights. We will see though. he is going up in weight again for his next fight.

Things just come so easy for some people. It amazes me how someone can be the best in the world at something without trying hard.

Hmmm, maybe this is the problem! If I started fighting, and I had some pictures of me all battered, it probably would disturb a few people I suppose. Uh, yeah they'd most likely rather see bikini pics :rolleyes:

Damn when you lay out the percentages, I look like an alcoholic. lol The low cals are pretty much because I had an asian chicken salad last night. After I made the chicken though I realized I didnt have half the crap I needed so it turned into grilled chicken, orange slices and baby spinach. Yummy but light.

The kids went out of town so I decided to have a drink after dinner, which turned into 4. I guess its a good thing my calories were low before that huh?

I just ordered Ross's other book Infinite Intensity


Can't wait for it to get here. I have Never Gymless and love it. Infinite Intensity is similar but includes a lot more strength focus. After Mine and Steve's convo I felt needed a little bit more specific goals. Or at least more specific path to said goals. Since mine include conditioning and strength, I don't know anyone who combines the two as well as Ross so I gave him some more money. He has earned it.

I need to get some DB's. They are expensive though. I believe I am going to make mine. Then I just have to buy plates. I also may make a new medicine ball this weekend. My old one got left out in the rain for like 5 days (don't ya love kids?) so it is looking a little rough.

I think I will run a little tonight and maybe work on my pistols. I want to be able to them soon. The just look impressive to me and it irks me that even though I feel I have a lot of lower body strength I can't do them.
 
the better swimmers tend to have legs that are short for their height and torsos that are longer for their height... though wingspan also helps a bit too... but short powerful legs give you lots of push off on the turns...

Sometimes your best motivation can come from you. I was reading the beginning of my diary and seen this. It is from April 3rd I think. I just felt a little proud when I read it.

I am glad you're well and are taking great steps to get the life that you want! Thank you for sharing all of this for us! The hardest thing for me is exercise, which you seem to be kicking butt at! Way to go :hurray:

Thanks for the kind words and support carrie. Lets just hope I can keep it all up. I tend to be a little obsessive compulsive over short terms. Meaning when I get interested or involved in something I generally attack it at 100%. Unfortunately I sometimes (ok, usually) lose interest before I am able to accomplish all the goals I initially set for myself. Not this time though. I am hoping the results will start showing soon and I can stay motivated by that.

Looks good and inexpensive. I've done what you did before, several times this summer: had salad for dinner and drank too much. Except I did it in reverse, I got drunk, thought "OK I'm drunk, I must have consumed a lot of calories, I better not eat high-cal shit" and then at dinner I ordered a salad. It did not "soak up" the alcohol, and I stayed drunk and was hung over. Fried foods shouldn't, but DO go well with alcohol in that sense.....
