Yeah, smoking stinks:eek: . I smoked for several years but quit about three years ago. Actually, I had to quit like four times before it actually lasted but they always say "Never quit, quiting." Now if I could just get my husband to stop smoking:cool: . Hmmm

Glad to see that you are still on here. I haven't talked to you in awhile so I wasn't sure. I'll look for ya on MSN, ok.

hey lol yea we havnt talked for ages. Maybe it is naughty to skip school, but thats the first time ive done it for like 2 years so!

Anyway today has been ok, not brilliant though, ive had:

Shredded Wheat again (217)

1 Alpen bar (110)

1 chicken sandwich (about 250 cals)

A small portion of Tikki Masala (600 approx)

1 Alpen bar (110)

Thats 1287 calories, not brilliant really.

Also, i did 3 sets of 15 squats yesterday and my quads burn every time i move them now. Honestly, cycling is OK for getting stronger legs, but nothing works your quads like squats or barbell lunges. The guys at the bodybuilding forum were right, cycling does help but squats put on more muscle and it does it faster. So today i didnt do any exercise other than walk about half a mile to a few shops and back at lunch time during school (we are allowed out of school now we are in year 11) and walking hurts atm. No way can i do cycling at the mo, sitting down hurts the most because my quads have to make sure i sit down slowly. Its hard to explain but whenever you sit down you use your quads to make sure you dont collapse on the chair or wherever your sitting.
My BMR is 2049 cals a day, do you think the way im going now i will lose a stone in time for xmas? Or do i need to increase my exercise more?

Oh yea also, can anyone recommend anything that will make the pain more bareable? Does Ibuprofin work or however you spell it? Thanks for reading.
 
Congrats on you 100th post. Your calories are fine for all the hard work you've been doing.. I'm afraid I don't know what a 'stone' is though.

Yeah Ibuprofin would be your best choice, it's an anti imflamitory which means it helps with pain and swelling. Just don't take too many! and if the pain keep up you should porobably see a Dr.
 
Thank you!! In that case, if you keep doing what you're doing, safely watching the calories and working out regularly... then 14lb my xmas should be a reasonable goal. Just be careful not to over do it - you're still growing!!

Oh and...
nah im no smoker, hate the smell and taste.

Nah the pain is more beareable now, though i still cant run or cycle.

Oh yea, today ive had:

Shredded Wheat
1 Alpen cereal bar
1 chicken sandwich
scrambled eggs with bacon on toast (2 slices)

I cant be bothered to count those calories again because ive said them before, i have pretty much the same thing every day except for tea. Tea was probably about 600 calories in total.
 
Hi,

I havnt been quite as strict today, i just want a couple of days off from the diet, now i know that my diet plan is working (3.5 lb a week, two weeks straight, awesome lol) i dont need to stress as much. I'm still going to carry on as normal, and im making sure i dont quite over do it today. Ive had so far:

A grilled bacon and fried egg sandwich (about 400 calories?) (not very healthy i know!)
A yoghurt (200 calories)
An Alpen bar (125 calories)

thats 725 and ive not even had tea lol. My mum has made shepards pie but i hate that so im not having it, i'll have something lighter, we have PE tomorrow at school anyway and i prefer doing exercise on an almost empty stomach. Tomorrow will just be as normal, shredded wheat, alpen bar, chicken sandwich and something healthy for tea lol. Its worked for 2 weeks!

Some times its good to change up your food however just so you don't get in a rut with eating the same things every single day. Good Luck sounds like your on the right track so far!

I dont really mind eating the same shredded wheat and chicken sandwich, the things i have for tea are different every day also.
 
easyE - I'm so glad to hear you've taken a more moderate/sensible approach to what you're eating!

It's rare to sustain a loss of 3.5 pounds a week for long, so don't get discouraged by weeks where you might not lose as much. Our bodies go through natural ebbs & flows - but keep doing what you're doing, maybe throw in some extra vegies & fruit and you'll be at your goal in no time!

Well i cant be blamed for not eating enough because i made sure i had no more than 1300 cals a day, sometimes a slight exception 1 day of the week.
More people are saying i look thinner lol, this kid said it would be ok for me to go to the chip shop once a week because im losing a lot anyway lol, no way am i going to though. For one thing ive got this really bad feeling when i feel full, and i like to feel hungry. And the second thing is chips give me stomach ache for some reason!

Anyway today hasnt been brilliant, im 100% truthful when i say what i ahve had today, and i dont lie or miss things out. So so far ive had:

a slice of bread for breakfast (got up too late, i think i have Insomnia lol, i cant sleep!)

1 Rice Crispie bar

1 chicken sandwich and a small pack of "Maynards sports gums", 15 cals in each sweet! There were about 15 sweets in the packet. Not a very good thing to buy, i wont get them again.

1 raspberry yogurt


Not a very good day so far, i will try to make up for it with some tomato soup, which is only like 160 calories for a serving. And maybe a cheese sandwich to go with it, unless thats going over my limit!

Anyway hope everyone else is doing well!

I hope you are feeling less annoyed now with things. Sounds like maybe you need a break! haha You've got half-term coming up? Try and do something fun for yourself. Maybe just relax a little bit.

But it sounds like you're doing great. I meant to ask you yesterday, how tall are you?

Today has been pretty average.

2 Weetabix biscuits, 1 frosties cereal bar and a chicken sandwich. Dont really know what else to say lol.
