Yep same quandary happened to me! Muscle mass > weight on the scales? I'm just shocked that it seems to happen so quickly? How did you keep to your eating whilst away on work?
I just saw your post with the measurements that everyone missed
That should make you very happy- after all, realistically we are all here to look and feel better- right? It is not about some arbitrary number on a scale that could fluctuate wildly or be broken or just not right.
If you are losing inches then you are doing what you need to do. The number on the scale has no choice but to fall in accordance with everything else. Hell, if I could stay the same weight I am now but look good and be as fit as I want to I would be happy.
I like your workouts. You are doing a good combo of cardio and resistance.
Nice job amberlace- you are doing the work![]()
Hey Amberlace, I'm loving your routine and dedication in journaling it! Way to go!
Weight gain as you put on muscle is what happens. Trust the way your clothes fit and not the scale and stick to it. I'm going to keep checking on you for my motivation so you have to stick with ithaha.
Re: Hiding the scales. This certainly struck a chord with me. My husband of 39 years, who knows me better than I know my self; disappeared this morning with the bathroom scales under his arm. He said 'You'll get them back next Friday ready for your weigh in'
He is quite right, come Tuesday I'd be off and on 'em all day
Hey Amber. The only thing I know of as to why your weight went up and measurements went down is because you are building muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat and with that you are still burning fat but the new muscles that you are gaining are being replaced. Awesome job kiddo, Keep it up

Stay on track Amber! We can't let travelling or work worm it's way in and get in the way of our results!Let us know how you get on.
Hang in there Amber. We have to have the odd bad day to appreciate the good ones. You are so committed I'm sure this is just a blip.
Hang in there kiddo and stay positive. We all have bad weeks. Even a couple in a row. The last thing you want to do is get frustrated with not seeing results. I've seen a lot of people who got in a rut just like you and decided to screw it cause they figured it was a failure so they resorted back to their old ways.
Stay sharp and on point and most of all stay motivated. Don't look at it as a set back, look at it as a challenge.
And as always you have people here that will always be available to help you. We are all here to help each other.
