Dust yourself up and try again

Are you transforming your bones into lead? Your measurements are so amazing! But I can imagine it's tough when the scale refuses to budge. And yes: I'm thrilled that the weekend is finally here!

Hahaha.....I wish they were turning into lead, LaMaria. Thanks for your encouraging words. I am just blah about the weight issue. I am not even going to go on the scales by myself. Just the weigh-in at the gym every two weeks. I think that'll help keep my sanity.

Friday was great. Did 45 mins of strength training and 20 mins of stationary bike. Took a break today. Just got back from dinner and stuck to one glass of red wine. Also I had sandwich for lunch today, and I was full by the time I was done with half. I should've just asked for a doggie bag, but ate it even though I was full. I need to learn how to stop eating when I am full. All this is work-in-progress.

Getting up early for gym tomorrow.

Thank you for your answer Amberlace.
Today Monday i am 2 lbs up from Friday. During weekend i let myself free to eat as i desired without enough restrictions and i hadn't time to go to the gym. So the result is to get 2 lbs more. I will be careful today and i hope tomorrow i come to my usual weight even that means i eat very little today!

Hello all. I enjoyed my long weekend, I hope those of you who got long weekend enjoyed it as much as I did.

Sunday was amazing, with 45 mins strength training and 20 mins cardio

Today was all kinds of rubbish. Memorial day, ate some bbq, drank some beers. Slept in so didn't go to the gym. Oh well.

Tomorrow is a new day. Bring on the short week.

Hope everyone had an amazing weekend.

I hope you enjoyed the charcoal and beer, that way they'll last you a long time. Short weeks are the best weeks, hope you'll get more amazing days like sunday!

Hahaha...agreed. No charcoal and beers until July 4th. Thanks for your sweet message, LaMaria.

Monday was all kinds of awesome.

Did 45 mins strength trainig. We worked on upper body stuff. 30 mins cardio. By the time it was over, I was beat. But in a good way.

Food was good too. I have been snacking a lot, so need to control that. Although, been snacking on cheese and peanuts, so couldn't be that bad. I don't eat chicken or red meat (do eat fish), so been trying to load up on my protein. May have gone a little overboard.

Watched X men tonight with the hunnie. SOOOOOO GOOD. If you're into the X-men franchise. Wait till the credits finish though, yea? There's a big big right at the end that people didn't know about.

After Xmen we went to our favorite Italian. I had three small slices of pizza and iced-tea. NO ALCOHOL. WHaaat? :) Didn't even want to think about it. Also I usually get a soda at the theater, and this time I didn't. Seriously. Who is this new Amber?

Yay for the new Amber, you're doing great! I'm going to steal some motivation from you to jumpstart mine again.

Hi just wanted to say I like your threads title...I can relate. Keep fighting the good fight

Thanks Brawny. Hope your journey is going well. There's a typo in the title of my thread, but I am leaving it be because I have grown to like it a lot. Will pop by yours too. Happy Monday!

Its been a while since I updated. I am on the road (this time the other side of the world) and it has been a little hard to find the time and place to get my workouts done, but Sunday and Monday have been extremely good. I have been on the road since Thursday morning. A 12-hour flight and lots of bad plane food later, I found myself in my hotel on late Thursday night. What-A-Day. Finally getting over jet-lag. So didn't work out on Thursday, Fri or Sat but made it to the gym Sunday and Monday morning. I am here for another six weeks. But glad to have found the hotel gym. Now need to stay on track. Hope everyone's dong well.

Hey Amber.
Been out of the loop for a few weeks so I was just trying to get caught up on everyone's progress. And by the looks of it, you have been quite the busy little girl. I couldn't even get through all your posts..lol
Well anyways. Loved seeing your last progress. Looks as if you are doing an awesome job. Good luck on your work travel. Glad you found a hotel with a gym.

GGH, sooo good to hear from you. YOU ARE BACK! How was your daughter's graduation? How as your time away with the family?

Traveling, eating and working out well is always really hard but I am trying my best. Gonna go over to your journal to check on you. Hope you've been a good boy. :)

I think I am finally over the jet lag. Phew! What a pain it's been.

It is a brand new day here. Went to the gym this morning. Did steps today. WAS SO HARD. There was another person at the hotel gym and he decided to do the steps with me today. We helped each other. He's so totally fit and said he'll give me a tip or two. I was sweating like an idiot and he didn't break any sweat. Also, he had no fat. At all. How is that even possible? I may have a gym crush. Hahha...

Food has been a little weird. Lots of coconut stuff here. I loooove the food but they can be so fattening. The place where I'm at right now is a heaven for fruits. I have been stuffing my face with all different kinds. Yum. I may have a small mango salad for snack today.

Hope everyone's keeping at it. :)

Well...... I took your advice when I got back on the diet. Dusted myself down and got back on the straight and narrow. I had gained 4lbs, which I have now lost. How are you

I love fresh fruit myself. Last year when the wife and I went to Hawaii we ate the most amazing fresh fruit. What really amazed us was how much different pineapple taste in Hawaii than back home. It was like it would melt in your mouth.

So where exactly are you right now on your business trip?

Sounded like you have found yourself a new friend in the gym. I'm happy that you have someone to push you in your workout. That is always a plus
