Dust yourself up and try again

By hell Amber, If I tried that, I'd be on continuous oxygen in ITU and my husband at my bedside checking the insurance policy:ack2: Well done love, well done.

I went to our annual reunion with the girls I started training with in 1969 back in May. It was our 45th! We were talking about how we would come off the wards after sometimes a 12 hour shift. Have a shower and be at a party or in the pub within the hour... Mini skirts platform shoes and make up as thick as we could get it. Now, we are all ready for bed by 10pm and instead of a bottle of perfume on the bedside table we have indigestion tablets and reading glasses. None of us would get into a size 12 (USA10) again and, after the platform shoes not to mention the thigh high PVC boots, we were all wearing sensible shoes:rotflmao:

It is always a great feeling when you get finished with a workout and you feel great.

Lol, D! I am 28, but still go to bed at 10pm. Actually, I have to be disciplined about when I go to bed otherwise can't wake up the next morning. :) But I do know what you mean. Thanks for your cheerful message, D. It is always a good way to start the day!

Today's workout:

W1D2 of C25K and feeling awesome. Was at 6.5 m/hr for running and 5.5m/hr for walking.

Then I did 20 mins of elliptical, and 15 mins of stationary bike.

This week is going awesome. I am having dinner tonight with an old college friend who is in these parts of the world. I have already looked at the menu and know what I am ordering. I feel so grown up AND so prepared. Bahahaa...

5.5 mph for walking! Holy cow! You are my hero! Nice work!
Ok you can tell I am impressed. I put 4 exclamation points in one post

:) You´re killing it! glad to hear you´re healthy again, I keep hoping the viruses will simply not be able to hit me when I´m thinner and offer a smaller goal ;)

Didn't make it to the gym today. Slept through the alarm. Was not my running day. So it was ok. Was hoping to go in the evening but by the time I got home it was 9pm and I was exhausted. These 60 hour-workweeks are hard. Few more weeks and I will be home free. Going to bed now so I don't sleep through the alarm again tomorrow. Will drop by everyone's journals tomorrow to check on you guys. Happy hump day! Weekend needs to happen NOW!

Another crazy day at work today. I am still at work. Ugh.

Logging what I did quickly so I don't forget in my exhausted state:

Did Wk1D3 of the workout. Did 6.5m/hr running 5.5m/hr walking at 3 incline. It felt too easy today, so I am looking forward to week two. Then I did 30 mins of stationary bike. Felt good. Also did some lifts, for about 10 mins.

60 hour workweeks? Not good :( And you´re still eating right AND working out? You deserve sooo much praise!

Yes. I am here for another few weeks and work is a little crazy. Not so sure about eating right but I am getting my hours at the gym in for now. Hope you are well, LaMaria!

Great workout today.

Did 30 mins on the treadmill with 5.5m/hr walking
20 mins on the stationary bike
15 mins of dumbbells and lifting. Last day of crazy work. TGIF!!!

I feel quite tired after reading this thread. Well done Amberlace. You are a star. I'm going for a walk tomorrow... start of the new me... big deal eh?

One of those weeks- family visiting, juggling work and taking time off and also trying to stay fit. Yikes. Bad combination. I am trying though.

Didn't work out Sunday. At all. Monday, got dressed to go to the gym but decided to go pick family up from the airport (as a surprise) and, I am so glad I did. Came back with them, had breakfast, got to work a little late as they got over jet-lag and just chilled. So no workout monday either.

Tuesday, however, as the whole house was still trying to sleep off jetlag, I went to the gym. Did Wk2D1 of C25k- did a longer cooldown so was on the treaadmill for about 45 mins. Then did stationary bike for about 20 mins. Not sure what's happening but i am sweating buckets. Then lots of walking yesterday with the family. Being a tourist is very tiring. Also ate some weird food- like a few bites of a brownie (yes the melts in the mouth variety), huge breakfast of eggs benedict and shake. Then soup for dinner with some rice.

Today, did the same. Wk2D2- stayed in the treadmill for 45 mins, and 20 mins stationary bike. As the family members are late-risers, I went to the gym and by time they were up I was back and making breakfast. Took a day off again today. Did more sight-seeing. Had late breakfast so had late lunch. Then big Thai dinner with the family.

Tomorrow I am going to work as they look around. Taking half day. So will join them in the evening. Then I work whole of next week and then I'm off for about five days in two weeks. Really need the time off so looking forward.

Hope everyone's doing well.
