Di's Daily Diary of Maintaining

We made it thru the birthday meal...I ate, but in moderation. Even a small slice of cookie cake...then felt sick. Anything rich is now very overwhelming for me; before I would have been going back for seconds! Next big hurdle will be Thanksgiving...

I made it thru the first day of week 2 of c25k. Not too bad so far...I know the weeks ahead will get more challenging!
My husband bought us a stationary recumbant bike...but it is still sitting in the box waiting to be put together. I am looking forward to having another option to my workout during the upcoming winter months! If it isn't still in the box!!!!

Thursday weigh-in: 114.0
I am surprised I did not gain. Skipped my workout totally on Tuesday, due to work committments. Got a good workout in yesterday to make up for it...felt so much better afterwards. I can't believe how sluggish and tired I feel when I don't get my exercise. Hard to believe I would ever say this after so many years of inactivity!

Finish day 2 of week 2 of c25k yesterday...one more day, then on to week 3, which looks a little more challenging!

I know... I still find it hard to believe when I hear myself saying something like "I'm looking forward to going to the gym tonight" ...!

Yes,me too! I feel like I am a totally different person than I was last year at this time! A new, improved version for the most part!
 
Up early this Saturday morning. Gotta finish week 2 of c25k! Then off on a shopping trip with my son and one of my daughters. I have to take back some running shoes I bought last week. THey just were too wide...once I got on the treadmill with them, my foot started sliding all over the place! And, I paid a pretty penny for them! Hope I can find some other shoes that I like today...that's the main objective. But, if I happen to find some other bargains, well...funny how I now enjoy shopping for clothes! One of my strongest motivations for keeping the weight off is fitting into my new smaler clothes!

Sunday weigh-in: 115.8

I am not surprised at all that it went up. I had pizza and soda Friday night, and a large lunch at Texas Roadhouse yesterday. I also have not been getting as much water. So, will start pushing that a little more, and clean up my eating. I am still in range, though...so no big worries! I just don't want to keep going up.
 
No school today since it is Veteran's Day. Hubby suggested that we go hiking since the weather is decent...chilly, but sunny. So, I guess that will be today's workout. I was suppose to do day 2 of week 3 c25k, but I can put that off until tomorrow, I guess.
I do like to hike, although don't get to do so very frequently, due to my location. It takes a good hour to get to the national park where we hike. Hiking gives me a great full body core workout, using muscles that a regular walk just doesn't.

No regular workout today...have plenty of mopping and scrubbing to do around home, so that will keep me pretty active. Also, my knee is still hurting, so figured a day off might help! I hope I am able to continue and finish c25k...but if the knee gets worse, that might not be possible. It is so frustrating when the things I want to do bring me pain!

Still resting comfortably in the very bottom of my zone...will need that cushion, I fear, with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up.

I sure am not getting around to posting in here "daily"...but no one is probably reading anyway!!!

I usually read more than I post, as I don't say anything unless i think it will be helpfull.

Sunday weigh-in: 114.4
So happy my weight is cooperating right now and I am staying in the lower part of my zone. With the holidays coming up that is important, so I will not freak when and if I gain a little. I will try not to, but realistically I know there will be many temptations....some that will be too hard to ignore. We tend to get all kinds of goodies and munchies brought in at school during December. The only way to avoid them all would be never go into the teacher's lounge, and that is just not practical!
