What a way to celebrate! So much like me with all that planning. Unfortunatley I have a temper like HH which I also picked up from my father. Sucks losing one's temper, but I do get over it quickly at least.

Hoping you have a wonderful birthday Val. I'm sure you'll show us pics of the festivities??!
 
:D I'm happy to hear that you got to sleep with a cuddly boy who realizes how valuable you are to him. They're best when they're like that!
You're sounding very positive and energized, which is wonderful. And your weekend plans sound fabulous. You deserve a little pampering.

I know emotional eating is hard, but wouldn't it be awesome to put all of that emotional energy into something really constructive? For the last month and a half I have not eaten due to emotions simply because I have been so busy. But last week was the first week I was able to spend time at home, and when I would have normally reached for snacks, I put my efforts into unpacking, cleaning etc.
I know it wont last long, so I am planning my next method of distraction...Maybe call an old friend, or sit down and write about what you are feeling in a journal...all of those things help to distract me.
Congrats on finding the new place! I know how important it feels :D

i'm so glad you got to spend the night with bf :D i always sleep best when i sleep next to my bf even if i sleapt much less then usual. lol
and we can discuss philosophy any time :D

Hi Val. I was going to ride my bike up for your birthday party, but I screwed my back up yesterday. So I'm afraid you'll have to party hardy without me. :D

It sounds like you're doing great. Get someone to take pics at the party!
 
Wow!!!

This morning I weigh 143.0!!

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the end of my period. But seriously, my body looks like it's 143 lbs or less. This August, I am going to really lose some weight. It's possible next week I'll be back up. But right now I feel really great.

Yesterday I weight trained for an hour. I suppose I should put what I did--this is what I always do:

Bench press: 95 lbs, 2 sets 5 reps regular, 2 sets 5 reps incline, 2 sets 5 reps supine (??)

Barbell squat: 115 lbs, 4 sets 7 reps below parallel

Deadlifts, barbell: 115 lbs, 2 sets 5 reps regular, 2 sets 5 reps Romainian.

Free weights, arms & shoulders: 20 lbs, the basics, 5-7 reps, what I could handle.

Triceps: I store fat on my upper arms, and I do mucho triceps dips (30), triceo pull downs (30) and also, laying down with a 15 lb dumbell doing 3 sets of 5 reps at different angles of tricep work.

Hamstring curls, machine: 55 lbs, on my stomach, 3 sets 10 reps

Abducter squeezes, machine: 90 lbs, 20 reps, then pulses for a little while

Abs: The thing that assists your neck, a bunch of those, at different angles. Also, the thing you get in that you're up in tha air, bringing your legs up to 90 degree angle and back: 3 sets 10 reps. And the supine version of that, same thing.

Lower back: I have bunny chub just sitting there on the sides, so I try to do the lower back exercises in the thing that holds you at a 45 degree angle, and use a 10 lb weight, doing the back 20 times, and the sides 10 times.

I was done after that but usually I'll get in the leg press machine, too--I didn't feel like I needed it, though.

Today is my buddy's b-day, and he's up from San Luis Obispo. I was visiting him when he took the pics of me on the mountain. Now I'm 6 lbs chubbier! but he said he didn't notice me 20 lbs lighter, so whatever! He doesn't care. He has his own worries--his belly gets bigger and smaller, so he has to watch himself (the rest of him is skinny).

Oh poor Bow. You know catching up on your diary you're exercising a lot, doing girly girl stuff, reading philosophy, you're an expert on wine--you are a really well-rounded person. Now calling somebody that in a weight loss forum can be looking for a fight, but its pretty awesome how many interests you do have.
 
thta is one great workout. next week i'll do some in the gym at my bf's place (unless they're on vacation too). can't wait to read that thread btw :D
 
Hey thanks, girls!

Tpday is good, I'm not even WANTING to snack. Problem is my b-fast and lunch were not as healthy as I like: I had no berries for my almond-butter-wafflewich (organic, omega 3 fat-infused), and didn't bring lunch and had Morning Star "beakfast patties." :(

Yesterday calories were at 2105, which is a miracle for me (low, for me!)

Today so far: 910 calories--usually at this time I'm up to 1300-1500. I'm "saving" some because as I won't be in tomorrow, and my b-day is Sat, the office will most likely "surprise" me with Champagne and cake :) We always do that on b-days. Nice having champagne in the office!
 
Very nice - champagne and cake :) Sounds like a good plan reserving some calories for that! Planning like that will see you back into the 130's in no time :)
