On the lighter side, there is a cheap, somwhat small but full-length mirror in my room already, and it is a "skinny mirror," the kind that doesn't make you look fat! LOL! ;)

Ok, where do you find one of those??? I need one STAT! lol

Have fun at your workout!! It'll be a great time to get rid of your frusterations!!!

SO.....looks like the Bf had a worse night than I did! ;)

Men are funny, things don't sink in until later, I swear! I was crying way too much last month to cry now. But here's what he said this morning:

i missed you quite a bit. i had horrible dreams, well, not horrible, but i mean, they weren't very pleasant. in the dream i kept trying to do sweet things for you but you didn't want to have anything to do with me. then i got up and cried in the shower without knowing why, really, just some residual emotion from the dreams coupled with missing you, i guess.

Poor guy! :(

Well, I told him I wanted to sleep with him tonight, although it will be a drive from his parents's house in the SCM, I don't mind. He's staying there to save money before he moves to the city. Did you know San Jose has one million people?!?!!

Feeling very sullen today. Sullen is not necessarily bad--it's an apethetic sullen and it is NOT becoming for me. I guess it's ok to be in the middle once in a while

I chose comfort food today--pizza. Not too much, but not nutritious. I took my vitamins! Also, I am eating cherry tomatos, a whole pack.

LOL I don't think that things hit us slower, but things definitely hit us different. Guys are just as sentimental as any woman. We'll deny it, but if we don't still have our Six Million Dollar Man action figure from 1976 in the bottom of some closet, we'ver probably got an old high school football jersey that hasn't fit in 20 years and we haven't worn in 30. How comfortable guys are with there emotions depends on a lot of things, but yeah we do feel things extremely strongly. Obviously, your feelings are being reciprocated very strongly by him.

I'm very aware! Most my BFs have had horrible, ratty things they refuse to get rid of.

I'm one of those horrible, ratty things :rotflmao:

The Bf is less emo than me in regards to this, when it was going to happen. Now he is more that it is happening. I think he just has an easier time putting it out of his mind when things are fine/normal.

My urge to snack is incredible, so these cherry tomatoes are a good idea!!!

Emotional eating. I have to deal with it one way or another.

Snacking on veggies is always a good idea. Hmm, actually are tomatoes a fruit? They have seeds. Anyway, that is a good idea.

Life is good, no doubt!

I have a pink water bottle with a daisy on it, and below the flower it says, "Life is Good." Its the girlie-est thing I own (I don't even own a dress) and I keep it around to remind me that, yea, Life IS good.

I have an awful temper I got from my father and I have a hard time keeping it under wraps when life doesn't seem like its going so well. I just look at my pink girlie water bottle and smile.

Its wonderful that you have someone who can admit to feeling emotions like that. I've dated far too many who had the "solid as a wall" approach in life, and it just didn't work.

hey you have your period, you're moving...hello of course you're emotionally eating :) life is getting better my friend and everything will be ok. besides you are controlling it...you stopped yourself at the rgiht moment. you had some comfort food and that was perfectly ok :) you still did it within your range, you still handled it ok and by venting here you are dealing with the emotions...therefore you are doing exactly the right thing. (yes i know i'm being a bit philosophical...but its professional deformation, i have after all graduated in philosophy :D)
and yes men are emotional...the only thing is they say thing when its usually too late. hell it took my bf 10 months to get some courage and tell me he's completely devastated without me lol
thing will be better val :D
a big hug
Lena

And it was weird leaving for work, with no boyfriend to say goodbye to. So I told my cat, "Goodbye, Honey, I love you," and kissed him.

My weight decided to go back to 146.0, as well. On the lighter side, there is a cheap, somwhat small but full-length mirror in my room already, and it is a "skinny mirror," the kind that doesn't make you look fat! LOL! ;)

Your handling it well so far and popcorn with real butter - YUM...That is what i snack on when I need a treat and have the urge to eat...

God what a whiner I am!

Life is good, no doubt!

Im glad life is good and you arent a whiner you are sharing your feelings with your firends:)

Morning Curves, sorry about the rough night! I think the cherry tomato idea was a VERY GOOD CHOICE!! I had ONE slice of cheese pizza last night myself, but if your careful and don't gobble down the entire pizza you will be just fine. :) It's good to see he's missing you, that will certainly put things in perspective on his end. And think of it this way, not to long ago, you two almost called it quits, so I think things are certainly looking "UP" so to speak, even though your feeling a little blue, does that make sense????? I know of 5 things you have to be grateful for:
1) Your still with BF
2) Your ankle is healing!
3) You found a great "new" place to live in the right location
4) You still have a fun job you enjoy "pouring"of course***
5) And last but NOT LEAST, you have US at WLF. hehehhehe

You truly are blessed Curves, so don't emotionally eat, you deserve to treat your body with respect, so eat those veggies and fruits and get back on that Band wagon!!!! I'm right here to keep pushing you, don't forget it!! I might not be able to log in tomorrow, so if not, I hope to read a lot of good things when I return on Monday.
CHOW VBF!!

Veggies and fruits in general are the ultimate snacks!

And as for emotional eating - I suspect that's where the problem is for most people on WLF.

Are you still biking to work?

Life is good..its all about perspective!!

So your spending the night w/ bf?? have fun ;)

I DID spend the night with the BF, and it was GREAT!! He cuddles now, harder than ever. Ha ha, I knew the move would bring us closer, in a way ;) It really cheered me up!!! :D

Snacking on veggies is always a good idea. Hmm, actually are tomatoes a fruit? They have seeds. Anyway, that is a good idea.

I'm pretty sure tomatoes are fruit! Like avocados.

Glad to hear you're making out all right in your new place. Time to de-stress and relax! :)

AFTER the birthday party!!!! ;)

You sure keep the temper in check, with that Mom around!!!

Yes, my BF is sensitive and open--I attract "those types" of men, for whatever reason. I'm glad, because that's how I like em! :D

Oh Lena, thank you, I feel great today after sleeping with the BF, and hey we should talk philosophy, I almost majored in it, after all!

Well your BF finally told you I suppose, although 10 months IS a long time!

Hi Cerella!

YES we should meet up one day, and take the girls to the Aquarium. We used to have a great white shark for a while then they realized GW sharks should NOT be in captivity.

Thanks, I lOVE sharing with my friends  And thank you, I suppose I am somewhat "skinny." My problem is making sure I don't gain and gain, as it's very easy for me to do so!!!!

I LOVE this forum, who invented it?!?! I wanna kiss them!

Well, it's all you that makes the forum, so here's kisses!
*kisses*

Thanks for everything, V.B.F.

And as for emotional eating - I suspect that's where the problem is for most people on WLF.

Are you still biking to work?

Yes, it probably is. We've all led interesting lives. I eat when tired and stressed, and with our lifestyle.....that makes it easy to gain!!

But seeing the BF made me really happy. I had a beer and some veggies and that was it for dinner! LOL!

I can't bike to work today, I have a facial in S.C. at 5:15 :( I probably won't be able to bike to work until next week, as Thursday I want to go to Kickboe, and it is too far to the gym to make it in 30 minutes.

Last Night

Yesterday I went to Kickboe and felt VERY good after. The woman who wants me to help her weight train wants me to come over for dinner soon. The neighbor who owns Genie the dog, whom I walk to the beach everyday now, wants to take me to dinner because he thinks I'm a nice person :) Looks like I get to have free dinner next week!!!!!!! :D

I went home and instead of eating, I called a bunch of friends, and my parents, to plan my party.

PLANS:

Thursday night, sleep at the Bf's parents house (in the Santa Cruz Mountains)

Friday, take the kickboxing class at my gym at 9:15, the one I used to take everyday when I worked at OfficeMax at noon. I was sad to give it up, but whenever I get a weekday morning free, I LOVE to take it!

Friday, my girlfriend Trisha is coming down and we are going to get manicures and pedicures ;)

Friday evening, Happy Hour at the Brewery!!!

Friday night, my firend whjo works for Estee Lauder is going to do my eye makeup, and me, Travis, the BF, our housemates, Trisha, Phoenix, Suke, and Christine are bar-hopping, gonna be my entourage ;)

Saturday, sleep in. Then we all caravan to The East Bay to my parents house to decorate and prepare for my b-day party!!

Saturday at 5: the fun begins!

Sunday, go to brunch with my family.

SO this morning the drive from the SCM to down here at work was only 50 minutes, and I thought it would be 1.5 hours!! Good!!

Sleeping with a Cuddly-Bubble-Butt-Boy sure makes my night!!!!!!!
