Ladies: ALL of you make me feel much better about the whole situtaion and I cherish your responses. You're right--this is a great move for our relationship! I actually know deep down I should be really happy about it--I am mourning the loss of cuddly nights and I'm not even talking sex. But this is very important and makes a lot of sense.
:hug2:

I'm going running this afternoon!

Hey CG, I had a very nice conversation with 3 friends over 3 bottles of Marrisou and an Italian dinner on Sunday night. Its one of the reasons I wound up getting home around 4:00 from Ohio. I thought I would stop by and see how you were doing. I'm sorry things are still rough with the bf, but I think you're right in the end its important and necessary.

aww sorry to hear things arent working out. but c'est la vie. if he is not ready to live with ya, its good he is honest and not rushing into things he doesnt want. cos the last realtionship i was in i finished cos it wasnt working, it was cos we moved in wayy too soon togehter. when i got back from travlleing last summer i had no where to live, id met him a few times and he offered his house. so i lived with him for a year. but uni finished and id had enough so we ended and im back at mums now. take your time over big things like this, cos once you move in with someone everythin changes.

it can be good or bad. depends on how good you both are with new division of privacy and couple time. personally i love havin someone about me all the time but some ties i really want to be on my own. i couldnt get this with dyl so i used to go camp out in the forest to get some peace and quiet!!

im sure it will find its way soon enuff. and as for the diet and fitness well you sound like ya doing great!! keep going ...

I shall address your kindness mometarily; first thing:

 I got STUNG by a BEE while running!

A yellowjacket managed to get into my little sock, and stung me under my outside-ankle bulge (what's that, the end of the tibia?) while I was running through Pogonip to HWY 9 from Harvey West park and back (6.1 miles, same route I won my first trail race on). It still itches. I'm not allergic, although I doubt people are allergic to yellowjackets, their stingers don't come out and I don't think they have poison in the tips but I don't know, probably could wikipedia it and find out.......

Wow I don't remember that varietal: let me check my Oxford Encyclopedia to wine and get back to this......

Why: he works in San Jose, I work in "Watsonville" (pretty much); he is sick of driving over HWY 17 (through the S.C. mountains, 40 minutes in traffic to work) and especially does not want to for the winter. I am NOT moving to San Jose, uh uh! That's the vast majority, our lease is up at the end of this month. Otherwise, our relationship has stagnated somewhat, and we're incredibly different--he smokes and is inactive physiclaly, although mentally he's a computer-nerd genius. Still he's the sweetest person alive, and we're not breaking up.

Hey thank you, that would be FUN FUN FUN!!!

Thank you Mechelle!! We did the long distance thing a year ago and we ended up spending 4 nights a week together, me driving to San Jose during the week and him to S.C. on the weekends! That will probably happen again!

Thank you, we have lived together for a year and 4 months, but I think we need a break, and that is totally cool! Thanks for the support!

Pictures, not of me though!

Hi!

Ok so I was going to attach thumbnails BUT they're too small! So links instead!!

THIS is what I'm excited about: Little tomatoes are in full season now and I LOVE them:

My manager brough in her yard's harvest; I'm most looking forward to the lettuce, I had a piece and it was sweet, juicy and crunchy!

ohhhh that looks so yummy, Val!

sorry to hear about the bee sting....hope you recover quickly! I have no idea about yellow-jackets...but the honeybees are a problem for me....20 years ago I was stung...and I was told I am allergic....but not been stung since. I don't sweat it....and they leave me alone.

Have a good day!

SO I was at the Brewery Last night, I brought the BF and my housemate.

Here's the BF: I'm extremely fond of curls and beards! Also, his lips and tongue ;)

The housemate is in the background.

Here's Kelly, one of the coolest chicks ever, who works there (I don't even like going there if she's not working). She also is a photographer for a local small newspaper.

Here's Brandon, he's a farmer. He has been stung by bees 35 times!! He told me about a yellow jacket that got in the back of his knee between his upper and lower leg, and stung him 7 times straight! At least my bee was stunned and could only sting me once! Somehow yesterday I convinced him to bring me peaches and Dahlias this Saturday (we're meeting at the Brewery)--wait oh yeah, because I'm bringing him WINE! LOL!

Awww he's cute!

Yay for good lettuce being in season! Thats always wonderful. I do love salads but lately I've had to eat them on baby spinach only due to a lack of really nice lettuce.

Here's a trick you can use if your lettuce is getting a little less crunchy:

Get out a giant bowl. Fill it with cold tap water (if your tap water isn't scary). Pour in some distilled white vinegar and stir. Soak your lettuce in the solution for 5-10 minutes depending on how much re-crisping it needs.
I probably use 1/4 cup vinegar to 8 cups of water. Hmmm, I think thats about right.

The wonderful thing about vinegar and plants is that when used in the right situations, you can restore the turgor pressure to the plant cells, causing them to refill their fluid sacs with water. :D

Sorry you got stung Val. I can't wait until a bee flies up my shorts while I'm riding and does the same thing to me!

I think Kelly is prettier than your bf, but that's just me. . . :)

Thank you, and jeez I hope you never get stung again! I've been stung by a regular bee, and its stinger was stuck in my hand--it did not swell much, just got read and went away. Currently my bee sting is itchy, but not even red.

Good god, I hope you don't get stung!!!!! Yes Kelly is pretty!

Marrisou and I may be spelling it wrong, but its got a yellow label with a black sun is one of my favorite reasonably priced Pinots.

DANG! I see some eye candy in those pictures girlfriend. AWESOME!! Can I have one of those cold beers right now please. :) I got stung once by a yellow jacket while bringing in laundry from the clothes line, I used to hang my laundry out in the summers when I lived in Upstate NY. Well, I put my hand in a sleeve to pull it out, and ZING I was popped by a yellow jacket, my entire hand swelled up, but it lasted about 24 hours then it was fine. Those suckers sting, little bastards!! I hope you get to feeling better by tomorrow. And those veggies look just like my garden veggies, but I can't grow lettuce here for some reason, damn it!! Oh well, can't have it all right?? On that note, I'm going to go peel me a cucumber and eat that now. Have a good rest of your day sister!
Later

Valerie your ruffian boyfriend is SO handsome, you guys are so hot together! Seriously I can't get over how cute he is, and how cute you are, damn I hope it works out because if nothing else, you guys look great together ;)

I must say that those tomatoes are really beautiful as well. I love pictures, it makes the diaries so fun! Thanks for sharing with us! Also, I'm so sorry about the yellowjacket sting, hope it doesn't happen again. I always get scared about a wasp flying in my car while I'm driving and then I'll inevitably freak out and cause a crash. Anyways I hope you are having a better day :hug2:
