Goodness girlfriend, your skinny! You have the best looking slim arms. AHHH I would love to have those arms. Those pictures are awesome, and I hope you are blowing them up to put in a frame. WOW, you look great!!

LOL! You're a doll, Kim! Actually, I was thinking, "Oh, my arms look good in that picture!" when I was putting it up! LOL! Of course, it helps to have them in that position! Hey maybe I should frame that--gramps is 77 and may not be around too much longer....hell he could make it another 20 years, I hope!

NO, ha ha, i refused to pay for that--and gramps was busy recovering, (finish lines were far away from each other for the 5 and 10K) and mom had to work so we had no familial spectators. Oh well! It would be a gross picture anyway!

The food pyramid is out of whack, but I definitely believe that the way to eat is to have those high calorie foods you're craving, but only in moderation and only when you really want them. Where I have got in trouble in the past is when I didn't really have a taste for anything, going and getting something really really terrible. Right now I really want a gyros, but I'm waiting for a good opportunity. In the meantime I'm eating healthy healthy healthy.

Well, that's great Cannon! I just am so puzzled that a lot of my so-called healthy food are so high in fat--like take soy yogurt, and tofu, and a Power bar, and some organic chocolate....after you add up my foods, the fat shoots through the roof! And I'm having 1 serving of everything! Maybe I should try a diet lower in fat...

yeah, I know what you mean....when you cannot decide what you really want, so you eat little of a lot of stuff trying to satisfy the mysterious craving....I hate that....its like grazing into oblivion...and most of the time I am still not satisfied....grrrrr.

I know that a low fat diet is advocated and like Tom said no trans-fats or saturated fats....but you seem to be doing just fine eating the way you do...it really sounds very healthy, Valerie!

Curvie, the pics are awesome. You're so beautiful. And your grandpa...he looks like a man who still knows how to LIVE.

Glad to hear the heel is skin abrasion because that'll heal faster. Take care of your beaten up body, dear heart. I totally relate. Once I did a half marathon 21 km, and the day after, my legs were blocks of wood. LOL

Actually you look a lot like gramps in your facial features. Bendito..that's cute. Before the dreaded plateau I was also losing around 1 pound every 7 to 10 days or so and I also eat a lot of fat and a lot of calories as compared to other "dieters". I get hungry a lot so I find fattier foods fill me up more, so my percentages in fitday would often be like 50% or more fat. But a lot of it comes from nuts and other healthy sources so I dont worry about it either. I just cant nor do not want to get everything totally perfect. I like being flexible and eating to my liking a lot of the time, as long as I am "good" on other days. Usually I naturally get "good" as I lose my appetite after a few days of high eating and desire more healthy foods. That has always been the case when I was maintaining and when losing. You're doing great so I dont see much need for changes, but I see you're on a constant road to self-improvement and surely that's a good thing.

Hi everybody!

Hi Doctor Nick! :D

Tom: No trans fats for me--usually. But saturated fats seem to be high, I didn't even realize! It's chocolate *narrowing eyes menacingly* that is the culprit--and canned shellfish!

Beth: Oh I know, and what's the shittiest is trying not to eat a lot, then you end up nibbling on a bunch of high-cal junk, and you end up eating hundreds of calories more than you would if you just cracked down and satisfied yourself with a healthy, 400-500 calorie meal.

Anna: You're too sweet :) Thank you, thank you.

Claudia: Yes, I have constantly strived to be a better person in anyway I know how. It's an endless struggle. LOL! I'm not a perfectionist, because I have a pretty high self-esteem, so being harsh to myself isn't an inclination. I treat myself like someone else--with compassion and empathy. Why not? We're all equal. But I'm not without my irritations, and seeming that I'm going to start soon, I have little willpower and a pissy attitude

Anyway, I should go to sleep. Goodnight!

Decision

I've decided: I AM going to run the Wharf to Wharf.

It's a race from the SC boardwalk area to Capitola-by-the-Sea. Only problem: none of my friends will be awake at 8:30am on Sunday to take me, and parking is a BITCH. Ugh, even worse, I must get a ride home. I'll have to spend the night at my buddy's house off Broadway--then call for a ride home. I better get drunk after the race and amuse myself in downtown Capitola!

Cranky. :boxing:
Period today or tomorrow.
Woke up at 6 am and went weight training, and it made me feel much better--skipped monday to rest after race and that sucked. I hate missing weight days.
Weight: 140. Bloated. It is very hard to do ab exercises while bloated. I'm not going to lie, it is easier as a lean person (20 lbs ago it was really rough) but it's not that much easier. :drooling:

I like these new smilies!

Wine class tonight. Where's a smily for that?! this'll do :jump:

I feel ya curves on the bloat too, I'm getting ready to start myself. YUK! but at least your still plugging along, and WOW to do another race, you blow me away!!!! Just throw me over 1/2 your energy and I'll be happy today! I'm jealous, WINE CLASS tonight. oh boy!!! can I come? :rotflmao:

1. Cool pics. Your gramps looks like an awesome guy!

2. Glad to hear you are buckling down on your nutrition. Most important variable in the equation.

3. Hi.
