Chris and I watched my teacher and "classmate" belly dance with swords, they looked SO cute, pictures attached.

WHoops! Here they are--Christine looks so especially cute in the last one Eventually I'll be performing there--I was gung ho about it when I started dancing but now that I've seen more performances I want to wait until I'm much better!

I was drinking some 100% corn bourbon last night. First drink I had since new years and it was a good one. Next time should be Super Bowl, although I promised JZ that I'd have a blow out night some time soon.

I'm 100% certain I wouldn't be seeing the lows with drinking in the picture. Alcohol can take deficits right out of your day!

T: Yes it happens sometimes. I always go dry for a semi-long time span (relatively speaking) from time to time, I think it's helped me from gaining too much weight over the years since I gave it a try in 2004. I notice it helps me lose weight, save for this one time a few months ago when I didn't diet in addition, and just ate all the calories I would have saved by not drinking

Hi Valerie,

I'm on week 3 of no alcohol. It wasn't a real formal resolution, I had friends over on Jan 3 and between us we drank nearly 3 bottles of (really nice) scotch.. I was pretty wrecked the next day and decided I'd had enough for awhile. Since then I haven't had anything. I do feel better, so I think I'm going to continue to cut back. It sure does pack the calories and with me at least lowers my resolve level to eat well.

David! Lurking around again? Yes it was nice feeling great Sunday morning. Well, not SO great, my boyfriend's house is old, termite-ridden, dusty and moldy. He wants to move out but is sort of on a lease--but it's been fucking with BOTH of us and I felt like I was starting to get a cold again--and today I don't feel too hot, either, although I'm in a good mood. Anyway, good for you! Yes, alcohol is GREAT but it sure takes away some calorie allowance better used on delicious food whilst dieting. Maintaining? I think it's fine as long as it's moderate drinking and not a bout of dipsomania. HAHA!

Thanks for all the support, Dee! YES, PZ is a gem, wow he sure impressed me this weekend. He's headed to Northern Cali (WAY North) to visit his parents and pick up his brother's dog for a while--his brother is vacationing in Thailand right now. I'm excited to meet Bounty, the Doberman. Supposedly he's a real friendly, good boy SO yes, PZ is dog-sitting for a while which is great--I love having dogs around.

I have got to visit you and see how you're doing after the weekend!
