Well, the day just got better :).

I did my online banking, and was inspired to think "it's time to pay closer attention to my money", so I made an Excel spreadsheet with one Sheet showing my current accounts activity, another sheet listing income, expenses, and the net $, then dividing that up weekly for perspective, and the third sheet tracking moves to improve the situation at hand. Looks like I can still save money even with my Yoga studio fees, gym fees, AND belly dancing fees IF I don't spend my money on stupid stuff. I decided that my wardrobe is FINE and I have everything I need, so I absolutely do not need to shop :flame: And I've also been configuring future expenses like car work, putting money into my IRA account, and so on. Basically, instead of being ignorant about my income, I'm going to keep a tight watch on it. It's about fucking time, I'm too old for making dumb decisions!!! :smash:

If my twin sister moves out of my house then I would definitely buy a gun. Right now I have an over-kill alarm system, panic button, my sister, and 2 small rat dogs to protect me. I've also taken some basic self defense. But I tell ya...if I ever have to live alone I'm buying a gun. And any fool breaking into my house to hurt me will feel my wrath. He/she will be lucky to make it out alive. I'm not afraid to shoot someone in self defense. Now if I get thrown in jail because of it that would be a damn shame. I think you just can't shoot someone in the back right? But you can defend yourself?

Still not sure whether I would get a shotgun or something smaller. I've been talked out of it so many times...the only one that actually supported me when my ex-boyfriend who is a CHP. He said I should get a gun but that I need to spend a lot of time at the range learning how to use it. Otherwise I shouldn't get one. LOL
 
Well, Melissa, you and your sister (btw where is she??) need to come with me and Chis to the range in Scotts Valley some Sunday. Then you can learn. Uh, shotguns are better than handguns IMO because you have to have bloody good aim with a handgun.....so the ex was right about that. Shotguns suck to shoot IMO, I prefer rifles over ALL, but they're good because your aim doesn't have to be perfect at close range. I have a few I was thinking of selling.....well anyway, I used to have one of my guns out in the main part of the house when I first moved in, but then I misplaced it one day and scared the hell out of myself when I heard something (turned out to be my cat) and reached for it and it wasn't there.....when I was alone at 3am in my bed :eek: So I decided that Keith would make sure no one would get me, and keep everything locked away locked in the basement locked in a vault, haha

Hello VBF! I'm very pleased to see you started a spreadsheet to keep your finances in check. BRAVO, BRAVO!!!!!

It makes things ten times easier if you know where it's all going to begin with. Sometimes the guilt helps out a little too. hehehehehe

On the gun law. BLAH!!!! I own several, and if someone tries to enter my house intent to do harm or break in, Let's just say my 4 dogs and Demon Seed Cat will be the least of their worries. :iagree: Your Family is sacred, and I would protect them even if it means going to jail.

On a lighter note: Have yourself a wonderful evening, and don't stay up tooooooo late!... plenty of water with that alcohol, that's just a little friendly advise for the night. Later Gator

The chat is kinda fun isn't it? Sorry I had to bail on you guys yesterday, but I was wiped from driving all day long. We'll have to do that again sometime when we're all on.

That is really something about Cali laws. I will stay in Mich where it is legal to defend myself..lol. I live in a very low crime area, but still, I want the right to shoot any bastard who thinks breaking into my house is a good idea. :D

Charlie Murphy is hilarious, and he had a long set, but he wasn't so funny the WHOLE time. He's no Chappelle, I have to say--but he IS very funny indeed. I had a GREAT time and was so glad to see him. A joke that stuck out in my mind was this: (not word for word but I tried)

:rotflmao: My girl friends and I saw the set, then went dancing at a club next door that seemed to have about 4 sororities and fraternities of Asians. LOL! My homegirl Christine definitely wanted to go in, as she is Korean and was also in a sorority in her day. Dancing was fun! Saturday after work I hung out with my old housemate and his girlfriend I never really met--I like her A LOT and I like him better now that he has her--he's happier and less of an alcoholic. I felt sorry for the poor girl, though, because she was recently diagnosed with ADHD and is on Adderall, which makes her appetite disappear. We were at a TG potluck and she made a plate of food that was TINY and she explained how much it sucked not to be able to eat much--and the girl is already thin--hopefully the side effect will go away. I could tell by talking to her that she's has an attention disorder, LOL! Still--she's super cool and a vegetarian, so sometime soon we're planning on making dinner one evening. haha, B eats lots of meat and he ended up with a Vegetarian! :biggrinjester:

Sat night I slept over at Thomas's house after some saucy texting. Hard-to-get-teasing-bastard! :willy_nilly: I swear, you tell a guy he's superlative in bed, and he acts like he's the fucking gold under the rainbow--LOL! Nah, he's a sweetie, and it was nice to cuddle. Last summer I was Anti-Cuddle Girl, but after the break of no romantic contact I now welcome it.

This weekend I had a difficult time controlling my eating--the Big P is coming any day now, probably tonight or tomorrow, so the appetite should go away with it. My weight is up to 144.5 lbs this morning, but I'm going to see what it is tomorrow before changing my sig. Yesterday I went to Yoga class at 10:30am in Santa Cruz before driving all the way home to the mountains and cleaning my house and taking care of some paperwork. Chris came over and we relaxed and watched a DVD.

Today I plan on running at noon and going to Yoga 2-3 after work, then heading to my homegirl C and L's house to make dinner. AH!
 
Hey there, Val. good weekend. I was trying to kill time Friday, too, so it really worked out.

Too bad Charlie wasn't all that you hoped. Did you tell him Trops said Hi?
