Crystal's Diary (Atkins Diet)

Day 6

I'm supposed to be going to the gym and swimming today with friends, really cbf cause its at my friends place, and dont think she'll be home. So i'll just do my exercise dvd.

Breakfast
- Nothing

Lunch
- Can tuna in spring water (0 carbs)
- 2 Slice atkins bread with vegimite (5 carbs)

Snack
- Atkins Shake (3 carbs)

Dinner
- Chicken Breast (0 carbs)
- Salad (Lettuce, cucumber, cheese, oil/vinigar dressing) 3 carbs
- Fried Egg (1 carb)

Snack
- Atkins chocolate bar (2 carbs)

Total carbs = 14 carbs

I'm going to go to the shops and buy atkins shake mix and have that for brekkie from now on, and some snack bars.

Ahh mum thru my chicken/egg salad out! Grr.. now I have to eat stupid tuna.

Day 7

I have work til late tonight, so I don't think working out is in order. But tomorrow after work I may go swimming.

Breakfast
- Nothing

Lunch
- 2x slice atkins bread (5 carbs)
- 1 fried eggs ( 1 carb)
- 1 slice bacon (0 carb)

Dinner
- Atkins Shake (3 carbs)
- Atkins morning bar (2 carbs)
- 2 hot dog sausages ( 3 carbs)
- Some cheese (1 carb)
- 2 small packs tomato sauce ( 3 carbs)
- 2 sausage rolls without the pastry, just the meat ( have no idea how many carbs)


Total Carbs = 18 + the sausage rolls so maybe like 25 or something. SO bad!

But I was at work and it was busy and felt like I was gonna faint and stuff.. so needed to eat.

Howdee! I just had to stop by your diet after "meeting you" on the pictures thread. I wanted to try to give ya some encouragement. Weightloss is not just about eating and exercise, but about having the right mindset. You have to think positive, but realistic too. And most of all, never give up- even if you have a bad day. Don't let one "mistake" sabotage any progress made, or worse, reverse it!

I did Atkins a few years ago and lost about 15lbs. The first 2 days I literally felt sick with a headache. Once I got thru the first week, it was much easier. I ended up quitting the program as my body just felt like it was craving some of the foods that were restricted, like fruits, and diary.
Needless to say, I gained all the weight back and have been yo-yoing the past 5 years, till I found my own inner strength, commitment, and this site. The weight is coming off slow, but it doesnt feel like a diet and I KNOW it will be permanent. There have been weeks where the scale went up a little or stayed the same- but I did not give up.

DO NOT GIVE UP! Keep going girl! Success will be yours!
 
Day 8

Don't worry I've reached day 8 and I feel better now, and i feel like I can do this! I want to do this.
Im at work and i just see all these people larger then me.. like huge and I just sit there and think "I dont want to end up like that" because I've been big my whole life.. and I want to know what it feels like to be thin. I want to be thin. I will be thin! =D lol
Well my first weigh in will be tomorrow! So scared about that.
I know if I havent lost anyhting its not big deal, because its only one week, and nothing happens over night!

Breakfast
- Atkins Shake (3 Carbs)
- Atkins breakfast bar (2 carbs)

Lunch
- Small can tuna in springwater (1 carb)
- 2 slice atkins bread (5 carbs)

Dinner
- 1.5 pork chops (0 carbs)
- Pumpkin and cauliflower mash (5 carbs)

Total carbs = 16 carbs

YAY!!! I LOST 2.5 KILOS =D
So happy about that result! =)
If I lose that much every week I'll get to my goal by the end of the year! Weee.

- Ceaser Wrap (Didnt eat the wrap, just ate the egg, bacon, cheese, chicken and lettuce) (5 carbs)

Dinner
- Half a roast chicken (0carbs)
- Seafood salad ( Celery, prawns, crab, seafood sauce) (10 carbs))

Total Carbs = 15 carbs

Day 10

So today nothing exciting going on. Will do my exercise dvd later tonight, abit tired and such.

Breakfast
- Atkins bar (2 carbs)

Lunch
- Sausage roll without the pastry (5 carbs)

Dinner
- 1 chicken breast (0 carbs)
- Tomato Paste (5 carbs)
- Cheese (2 carbs)
- Salad (3 carbs)

Total Carbs = 17 carbs

Day 11

Walked home today.. took an hour.. yay! Maybe go for a walk after dinner too.

Breakfast
- Atkins breakfast bar ( 2 carbs)

Lunch
- Ceaser Wrap without the bread ( 5 carbs)

Snack
- Atkins chocolate Bar (2 carbs)

Dinner
- Chicken fillet breast (0 carbs)
- 1 sausages ( 1.5 carbs)
- Hamburger patty (0 carbs)
- Salad (2 carbs)

Total Carbs = 12.5

Day 12

So today I'll go for another hour walk.
I'm seriously obsessed with exercise now.
If I don't exercise everyday, I'll feel bad LOL.
Except for the weekend, cause I work heaps on Saturday and Sunday, so thats my exercise.

Breakfast

Lunch
- Egg salad.. kinda struggling to eat it. (4 carbs)

Snack
- Atkins bar ( 2 carbs)

Dinner
- Chicken fillet breast (0 carbs)
- Salad ( 4 carbs)
- Tomato paste ( 4 carbs)
- Cheese ( 2 carbs)

Total Carbs = 16 carbs

Hey, I dont want to be nosy, but you really should be getting those 12-15 net carbs a day of veggies.

If you posted your diet on the Atkins board they would flame you so bad for not getting your vegetables, and things like bread and the bars are not allowed on induction.

Thats great about the exercise though! I love it when I get addicted, my motivation is a little too low at the moment lol.

If you look on the back of the bar is clearly states the inductions that are allowed to eat the bars, and induction 1 is allowed =)

And it's working for me, so I don't see the problem lol

- Left over chicken from dinner last night ( 3 carbs)

Dinner
- 2 x atkins bread ( 5 carbs )
- Cream cheese ( 1 carb)

Snack
- Atkins chocolate bar (2 carbs)

Total Carbs = 13 carbs

Oh ok. I just remember when I was on induction the you weren't allowed the bars, maybe they've made new ones since then, there wasnt much variety back then!

And there is no need to make me look stupid, on Atkins you are supposed at have 12-15 net carbs of vegetables a day, and your not getting that - so its more a very low carb diet than atkins.

Lol I just remember Atkins, and I felt SOOO much better eating salads after all the meat lol! It also gave me a chance to try new veggies.

Anyway, your going great keep it up!
 
Day 14

It was so hot at work today! Drank so much water and feel so tired.. might have a nap.

Breakfast
- Atkins bread with some vegemite (3 carbs)

Lunch
- Atkins chocolate bar ( 3 carbs)

Snack
- Atkins bar ( 2 carbs)

Dinner
- 2 fried eggs ( 2 carbs)
- 2 slice bacon ( 1 carbs)

Total Carbs= 11 carbs

- Subway chicken and bacon ranch wrap (cheese, chicken, bacon, lettuce, cucumber and ranch sauce) (11 carbs)

Dinner
- Salad ( lettuce/cucumber/cheese) (3 carbs)
- Steak (0 carbs)

Total Carbs = 16 carbs

Gonna do my exercise dvd tonight.. and tomorrow is weigh day! I wonder what the scales will say lol
 
Day 16

I LOST 1.5 KILO THIS WEEK! I'm glad I lost that.. from the stuff I ate.. like seafood salad and stuff. So I'm heaps glad with that, and thats a total of 4 kilos in 2 weeks.. so proud LOL

Breakfast
- Atkins bar (2 carbs)
- Ceaser salad (5 carbs)

Lunch
- Subway chicken and bacon ranch wrap (10 carbs)

Dinner
- Pork chop (0 carbs)
- hamburger patty (0 carbs)
- half an egg (0 carbs)
- Salad (3 carbs)

Total Carbs = 20

I hate being exactly 20 carbs.. psh lol

I was gonna go swimming today but its to hot to even move, so scratch that plan. I'll just do some exercise dvds at home.

Breakfast
- Nothing

Lunch
- Atkins bar (2 carbs)
- 2 sausage rolls with no pastry (6 carbs)

Dinner
- Roast chicken ( 0 carbs)
- Seafood salad (8 carbs)

Total Carbs = 16
