Countdown to Competition

it has been a tough morning so far today i have done upper body weights imediately followed by 1 hour of cardio kick boxing where i took the skin off my knuckles on the punch bags.

tonight i have more light cardio while the boys do martial arts then a short break before doing RPM.

I think i will sleep well tonight.:sleeping:
 
made it into the gym yesterday afternoon, completes 17.5 km (11 miles) on the eliptical in 45 minutes while the boys were at matial arts training, then done some food shopping and some rest before RPM. fell asleep as soon as i got home :sleeping:

had RPM this morning and i am looking forward to some rest over the weekend before getting back to the gym on momday.
 
Tru that sucks about that woman, I almost get hit every day, I'm so accustomed to my road rage that I slip in and out without even noticing it. I'm really sorry though...you're doing an incredible job working out though, it's amazing!
 
I loved kickboxing when I used to do that. I always wore gloves though, but I broke the opal off my favorite ring even with the gloves because I forgot to take it off :(. I'd love to go back to it if I could find a place around here that actually uses bags. Cardikickboxing here... it sucks. Kick into the air, punch the air, squat... aaaacccckkkk!!!!
 
I don't usually grunt much when i lift but the grunt today got EVERYBODYS attention :cool:

WOW to the elliptical - I do that many miles in like 65 mins - ha ha ha - and I am proud of that...

Just finished at the gym, increased squat up to 120 kg (264.5 lb), I had an asthma attack last night but my breathing has been ok so far today.

ate a little tooooo much pizza on the weekend but it shouldn't hurt my progress.

Im sorry to hear abt the asthma attack - my oldest suffers quite badly....as far as the pizza - your on fire:flame:I wouldnt worry abt it hurting your progress...and MMM pizza it has been forever since Ive had it!!!
 
my workout this morning went well, i increased my bench press up to 57.5 kg (126.7 lb) :jump: only 2.5 kg to go before i can put the big plates on the bar

increased bicep curls to 12.5 kg (27.5 lb), Cardio on the torture machine is planned for this afternoon.
 
yesterday afternoon done 40 minute on the eliptical at level 7 keeping my heart rate at around 160 and doing only 15 km (9.3 miles) due to having to answer some questions from other gym members and my coach so my speed dropped a little while i was gasping for breath and talking.

my weight was up a little this morning but will book a fitness and bodyfat % test for next week when i get into the gym this morning.

Sorry to hear about the asthma attack. Thanks for all the help with helping me get a gym plan working for me. I had my introduction to my trainer today and we'll start working out on Thursday. Sounds like your training is going awesome :)
 
I will check up on your diary shortly cannon, This morning i was tired when i dragged myself into the gym this morning, attempted 135 kg on the deadlift but my hands could not hold the bar and i tore a bit of skin of my hands, I have the strength to lift the weight but have to work out a way of toughening up my hands.

squat stayed at 120 kg.

feeling ok now, soccer training this afternoon
 
I just read your diary and all I can say is wow I'm impressed! You are doing great on your strength gains. Your workouts are inspiring.

Wow!!!!! 3 times WOW!!! I got exhausted just reading your training sessions. I am afraid I would have to be carried out of the gym if I ever attempted to do even 1/4 of what you are doing!!:) And you find time to do this besides being a mom!!
Lot of determination and hard work. Aug 25th right? I am pulling for you!!

This is what happens to me - not answering questions ina gym however - but for some reason everyone always has to be around watching me exercise and tlaking to me...

i think i almost reached that point this morning lol

upper body weights, increased weight on 2 inch bench press (i know they have a name but not sure what) then cardio kickboxing. i had the instructor as my partner so i didn't feel to bad about using most of my power in the punches and kicks.

i may change to doing thai kickboxing rather than the cardio kickboxing so that i am not working out 2 sessions back to back.

My shoulders have not yet recovered and i only have a short break before the afternoon routine of picking up kids from school and getting them to their martial arts classes and another light workout for me.

I can't sit still and just watch their class, I have got to be doing something.
 
While the boys were at their martial arts class,
I done the shrugs i missed on wedneday increasing the weight up to 40kg (88 lb) dumbells

I completed my upper body workout from the morning session with tricep extensions (35 kg) 77 lb
and bicep curls (12.5 kg) 27.5 lb

I then spent some time on the leg press working up to 340 kg (749.5 lb)

I then had a break before RPM

This morning i also done RPM, my muscles now feel like they need the rest they will get over the weekend.
 
Tru I can't even comprehend the amount of weight you lift. You are doing a fabulous job, take care of yourself and get some rest though woman. Did I read correctly, you had two RPM classes in one day?? :eek: Cripes! :hug2:
