Couch POTATO to "MARATHON" HONEY! :)

Hey Alta,

Looking good still. :) I love that you post random quotes for us all to consider!!

Have a good weekend. x
Thank you buttercup!! :D!!! I'm glad you enjoy them!!! They really lift my spirits all the time...and RIP me out of the dumps when I go in there...:iagree:!

You are very inspirational yourself, alta. I would love to run too. I'm definitely not in the shape to do it. And I seriously messed up my back recently which hurts when I over-exert it. I want to be as focused as your brother. I need to be that focused... on something. lol.
Awwww....I'm so sorry to hear about your back! I can just imagine the pain.... I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Take it easy girl...and maybe you can just do a little walk around the block. ...AND I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR COMPLIMENTS!! THANK YOU!! :grouphug:!!! I guess I'm feeling kinda down today and I thank you for coming in here!! :beating:!

Thank you so much Sunshine!!! :D! Congrats on your 5k!!! 5k's are SUPER fun...cause though it's a bit shorter distance..you still get the great satisfaction, the interaction, and the COOL BOOTHS!!!!!!

....I love it!!! Thank you girlie!:beating:!!! I won't give up......DIE TRYING!

20 miles??? HOLY SHIT. Congratulations. I'm rooting for you! If you can do 20 mile run, it makes me feel like someday I'll be able to do it.

Maybe you'll read this before you leave. Come on girl, you can do it! I'm routing for you! Even if you have to walk at times, 20 miles no matter what. Go Alta! :gnorsi:

FAKKKKKKKKK!!!! I just finished the HARDEST 17 mile 3.5 hour RUN OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!! :cheers2: on a new trail in Pacific Palisades....and OMG :eek2: ONLY FUCKN HILLS!!!!!! WTF?!?!?! Ahhhhhhhhhhh:willy_nilly: OCT 11....here I come baby....!!!!

YEAAAAAAAAA!!!!

I freaking did it!!! I finished the RUN!!!...It wasn't a full 20 miles, though it was 17 miles, took us 3.5 hours long!...my longest yet and BY FARRRR my hardest yet!

...I met up with my new running partner and my brother Chris and went for a CRAZY ONLY HILL ..but HUGE fuckn hill run in Pacific Palisades! :cuss:

.. The elevation was intense :ack2: and we climbed running the mountain up and down it seemed at least twice within the whole run. :icon_bs: hahaha...

We definitely needed more water with us :drool5:, as none of us were prepared for what those hills contained for us, and my brother Chris, had drank the night before too..so he was super dehydrated. Though we searched the run beforehand on the internet, the level of intesity could not have been described even if they wanted to!.

..I am VERY PROUD of myself.:iagree:!!! At first couple miles, I was huffin and puffin already as the first step STARTS on the largest incline and DOESN'T stop the whole way. I was intimidated at first, and yet when my breathing started going through my nose, I felt much more relaxed and able to take it step by step. Breathing through my mouth exaggerates how tired my mind thinks I am cause I can hear myself huffing and puffin. Breathing is a huge part of it!!!

...We were all very challenged and the course had us ducking and holding onto the side of hills at times, yet VERY VERY beautiful & Green from WAY UP HIGH. I generally run to the Hollywood sign which is HUGE hills, so I thought THEN at least, yet NOW...wow ...it made my 12 huge hill training runs look like FLAT ground compared to these hills :eek2:! NO FUCKN JOKE!

...At one point when we still had about another hour run left to get back to the car..the HARDEST cause it was a new trail, we felt lost half the time, and the sun was beating down on us...but lucky for me...by then and these Angels on Bicycles :Angel_anim: appeared and refilled my water, and gave me another electrolyte and said that they brought extra cause almost no one is ever prepared for what this trail contains, and they were happy to help me out.

I LITERALLY had the thoughts of "OMG..what if we get stuck out here, so Lost and we run out of water, and I can't move my legs anymore, and we DIE of heat exhaustion!?!?!"... ....hahha..but luckily there were sporatic people here and there...so I know we wouldn't have died...maybe stayed immobile rolling on the floor ...hahah....but not have died!!! :smilielol5:

Getting back to the car was like the GREATEST heaven EVER!!!

& as far as my NEW running partner ...she is so nice.!..she reminds me of DEE on of my friends I met on here, a lot with her personality, and she reminds me of OLIVE OIL from Popeye the way she looks! She is super cool and we were all real proud of ourselves at the end!!!

GOOD TIMES-we hope and plan to run every SUNDAY together ---the only problem is I like to go out sometimes on Saturday and getting up at the crack of dawn is NOT FUN- cause that means I have to be on good behavior while out!!!!

----ALSO GOT HOME AND THOUGH I was DEAD, I wrote 2 essays!!! !!

...yet you don't want to hear about all the SHIT I ate all weekend...let's just let that go and start FRESH!!!....

I found my "MOJO" ladies & gents!!"......and it's FUCKN' HUGE!!! :smilielol5:!!!! (don't be jealous...just find YOURS & pump it up!! hahah! )
