Couch POTATO to "MARATHON" HONEY! :)

Congratulations Alta! That is a huge accomplishment, gosh running up hills is like doubling the mileage! They had an interesting article in the NY Times (nytimes.com) about a week ago about a study that found that experienced marathon runners who incorporated a few walking breaks into their marathon actually had much faster times and had far less injuries.
 
Man, I almost have a tear in my left eye right now. I'm very proud of you. That is an awesome accomplishment. Keep training hard and you will be ready for the full marathon in November.

Just got back from the gym with Ivette....

didn't do much....

abs for like 20 mins. with weights.
30 mins of Sauna-hot ass hell-sweat like a mofo
12 mins of bike
10 mins of Stair Master--HIIT intervals



...shouldn't have right now after the gym AT NIGHT on top...but I did...eat.



An eggwhite omellete with spinach, onion, tomato with one real whole egg...again,...nothing to eat at home...I NEED to go shopping.
...black beans...1 cup

I'm feeling guilty,...for eating at night....just might go hop on my stationary bike and ride for like 20 -30 mins. ...we'll see..or I just might go to bed soon after I watch an hour of a video for class, get some needed rest, cause my throat is scratchy...and get up and do the gym in the morning and at night tomorrow after classes as well.

...I'm doing great so far in everything! I've written 7 essays these past two weeks, attended class 2 nights a week for 3 hours each time, and thrown in 6 additional Practicum classes of 3 hours each. I AM ON TOP OF THINGS!!!! ....and continuing my training for my FULL MARATHON in November!!

...it's gonna be SUPER hard, to do it all...train, go to school & everything cause these next months are gonna be intense. I'm worried that I won't have enough time to train and do my classes....butttttt WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY! ...so find it ALTA~~~!

...also I'm on top of things at work ....I'm getting my "Own" Office after 2 months at my new position now ....well, because...plain and simple... I am the shit! :D!...privacy...thank GOD!!!! ...

...also....I NEED TO GET THIS CARB CRAVING under control....wtf?!? ....bread bread bread....

my car was broken into :(

.... I was crying this morning.... I got up and they had broken my car window. My bf always tells me to take the sterio off at night cause it's safer....
.... This is like the 4th time I don't and BAM.... I was lucky they didn't take it..... It's a new DVD player $600 as well for my baby clk mercedes..... That my bf paid half for about 2 months ago.......

:(....... It sucks cause I already had to get my car serviced....$350 and now $195 for the window replacement and with stupid tint to match the rest....:rant:.........& I have to pay a $350 bill latest today too......

.....& to top it off .... They stole my bag with ALL my makeup... I have nothing now... :( &&&&&&& they stole my gym bag with my HYPNOSIS book for school and my 2 brand new books.. One that my mom gave me that meant a lot to me....with my Swim Gear, goggles and cap.........
another $100 at least worth of shit I NEeD & use everyday as well.......what a shitty day!!!!!!

Fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkk ...... I took the day off to go spend a shit load of money I don't have to spend on that crap!

... So let me see if I understand this... The fish oil pills are my fat for the day?
.... And what about carb percentage for the daily intake? ... Just cut em out and worry about protein?
.... Or do you mean eat the min amount of protein according to my Lbs and then the fat comes from the pills and then the rest is veggies and stuuf until I max my calories?

.... Can I feasibly keep running all these miles without them?.... Yes right?? .... But I crave them when my workouts get high.... What should I do?
 
I'm not gonna pretend to understand nutrition for running. My guidelines are to cover important baselines and to keep it in a deficit. Carbs arnt evil :). Yeah they are easy to over eat, easy to under report. If ya gonna eat em keep complex and time them around your workouts. And understand they contribute to weight fluctuation due to water and glcogen storage

Hi Alta! Sorry I didn't post yesterday. There was a little baby demanding my attention and not letting me type! lol
I am so sorry to hear about your car. My car was broken into once and they took all my cd's and several other things. For me it wasn't so much what they took but the feeling of invasion. I just didn't feel right in my car until I had wiped everything down. It was just an icky feeling. Two of the houses I lived in were broken into as well so I have had my share of stuff stolen and uggg it sucks and so do no-good, rotten, crap weasels. Anyway good thing is is that no one was hurt, your car wasn't stolen or otherwise vandalized. It sucks about the window and belongings:( I am sorry you have to go through that but like everything else you will get through it and will do it with grace and that awesome determination you have :D Speaking of way to go on the marathon!!!! I am so excited for you! And you have a full marathon in the fall!! Very exciting!
I hope you are doing well and things are looking better today!
 
Ugh, it has to be the worst, most disgusted feeling in the world... i had it after i got car-jacked by 4 men with GUNS! (I live in South Africa, everyone knows at least 3 people who've been hi-jacked!)

Just focus on the beautiful positive side of life (as you usually do!) and you'll soon see that theres a lot more good out there than bad!

...I am looking at positive things ALL OVER!!! ...and the great part about it was that my bf took me and bought me ALL NEW MAKEUP!!!...tons of it!! I was so happy about that!!!....And I also got a new perfume out of it too! ;)!!!

...Pretty Happy about that....

So swammped with work today...Ahhhhhhh MONDAY!! :svengo:

...I think because I'm broke this week, SALMON & OATMEAL is all I can eat all week :cry:....and YUMMY water.....hahaha
