Hang in there friend. Who knows why the body decides to hang on to a little weight. Keep on for another week you will turn loose of some lbs in a few more days. Get pissed and ramp up your exercise. Find ways to get in more activity. Park at the back of the lot...take the stairs....Expect a few speed bumps. Dont let one bad weigh in let you forget how determinined you are girl...Okay(blows whistle)...take a lap!

Cheer up, darling love, accepting a perceived defeat will only cause a downward spiral. Like I said in Lisa's diary, part of weight loss is accepting maintenance--or even small gains. Don't be swayed by the scale--we all are, but HEALTH is paramount, so don't you stop trying to get your exercise in and eat mostly healthy foods or I will pimp slap you around!!!!!! :waving: :sifone: :coolgleamA:

So yay!!! Yesterday I finally signed up and did it....my FIRST YOGA CLASS at this new studio and I LOVED IT :beating:!!!!



The teacher was amazing and they did so many different, if not almost ALL different poses than Bikram Yoga actually does....!!! They were doing all kinds of positions that left me in awe as they did headstands and this floating air position and that...and ALL I CAN SAY was WOW :eek2:!!! I can't WAIT to be where they are...but I was actually really proud of myself, cause I am REALLLLLLY flexible for it being my first class and all! 90 mins of Great FUN, HEALING, and SWEAT & Meditation!!! .....though right now, my mind keeps drifting around class trying to figure out how to do all these positions, but I'm sure the more accustomed I get to them, the more I can center my thoughts on the meditation portion of it.....

...today is my 2nd class this afternoon....!!! I'm excited!!! :sifone:

....I feel CHANGE coming on, and today is like DAY 12 I believe on NO DRINKING!!! I'm STILL GOING STRONG!!! ...

....I have been drinking my vitamins 3x a day, and drinking POO BABIE shakes, and drinking water & green tea, and eating low carb, and HOPEFULLY soon be shedding some pounds......OR at the very least ( if not better ...some SIZES)

....I was at a comfortable size 4 before (in one pair of pants that I use as measuring tool)...but I gained like a MOFO in Dec...and now I'm back to 8's.....(not that it's a bad thing..just bigger than I was in November) .....but I'm happy cause now I'm getting back into the FULL swing of getting fully active again.....!!! So hopefully this time when I go back down, I'll be firmer than before and look better as well...

And i took the little formula off Curive's Page: (My measurements TODAY):

True chest (taken above my breasts, under the armpits) 36"
Bust (over largest part of my breasts) 39.5"
Waist, (smallest part) 31"
True Hips (just above the hip bones) 37.5"
Hips (over largest part of my booty) 43.25"

and a few extras:

Biceps (both were the same!) 13"
Thigh (largest part) 25"
Calves 15.5"

I like measurements much better as they are more actual than lbs as to how we look!!! So here they are.....

Also, I saw this lady right now, who I had not seen in ONE WHOLE year, and she told me SHE DIDN'T RECOGNIZE ME, and THAT I LOOKED SKINNY :eek2:..which I would assume meant compared to how I was.....BUT HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLL YA!!!! She really made my day!!!!! AND THESE INCHES topppppppped it off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am STRAIGHT UP IMPRESSED!!! I loveeee it.....!!! KEEP WORKING AT IT ALTA!!!!

I know everyone's already posted but I just want to let you know that you are doing SOOOOO FREAKING WELL! the only reason you saw those 2 pounds go up is because your ego is getting larger and heavier by the moment. you're lookin HOT so you know, the ego has to adjust to fit the new b-o-d. :party:

in all seriousness though, i think you are doing a FABULOUS job! id much rather the scale go up 2 pounds and see my pants get smaller than the other way around! :) i am SO JEALOUSSS of your accomplishments and i cant wait to get down to a size 6!! much less a 3 or 4!! :) YOU GO GIRL! keep it up - screw the scale!

You know, that actually clicked to me after the woman today told me that I looked sooooo much thinner after a year....and I really like what you said about.....
"DON'T LET ONE WEIGH IN, LET YOU FORGET HOW DETERMINED YOU ARE"!!!

....you are SOOO right...and I thought about it after she said that nice compliment today, and ABOUT all the times that I felt frustrated and wanted to quit in the past year....BUT no, I didn't, and NOW I FEEL BETTER than I did then....

...before I think I would have got angry :banghead: with myself...and gave up, and settled to being FAT for life, and that being fit, just wasn't part of my life, and I would EMOTIONALLY eat it up and drink it up.....so I could go back to "MY COMFORT ZONE, in my FAT SUIT", and I could be as FAT as I was and even fatter probably......BUT OVERALL.....I was talking with Ivette today, and we actually had the same conversation....and we LAUGHED...caused wtf!?!?!?

.....what's better...having a BAD week, or having a BAD LIFE...LOL!!! ;)

My nose is runny now too :(, now it's not only the throat, ...I took Vitamin C all day, and drank Hot Tea.....and it worked for a little,....but YEAH RIGHT....no exercise tonight either...I want to be good for tomorrow afternoon.....

my health is more important....and I am sad, that I can't bust ass this week, but man, oh man, I want to have a GOOD TIME Valentine's day, and my body is weak...and ITS COLD :eek: here!!!:nopity:

....hope next week is better....:)!!!

hahah i tried on all my pants today... =P haha i wear anything from a 17 to a 12 xD lol and some of the bigger sizes i couldnt fit... hehe crazy.

alta! i hope you feeel better for vday! the weather totally HAS been sucky all over california this week. i was gyming tonight and the weather man on tv said its gona rain alll next week too! i HATE spring showers ;[ its not even spring actuallyy sooo stop rianing. argh! :(

ps i was reading through old threads on the challenges and i saw something about the vegas challenge u guys did. you guys all went to vegas together?!?! reallyyy?!?! so random- - but tahts soundss soo funnnn! do u think ull ever do another one similar to thatt???

Oh I'm soooooooooo sorry you're sick :( That sucks! I'm glad that you are taking the time for yourself rather than killing yourself at a gym and only making yourself sicker!
