Measurements are BETTER THAN lbs!

So yay!!! Yesterday I finally signed up and did it....my FIRST YOGA CLASS at this new studio and I LOVED IT :beating:!!!!



The teacher was amazing and they did so many different, if not almost ALL different poses than Bikram Yoga actually does....!!! They were doing all kinds of positions that left me in awe :eek: as they did headstands and this floating air position and that...and ALL I CAN SAY was WOW :eek2:!!! I can't WAIT to be where they are...but I was actually really proud of myself, cause I am REALLLLLLY flexible for it being my first class and all! 90 mins of Great FUN, HEALING, and SWEAT & Meditation!!! .....though right now, my mind keeps drifting around class trying to figure out how to do all these positions, but I'm sure the more accustomed I get to them, the more I can center my thoughts on the meditation portion of it......:coolgleamA:

...today is my 2nd class this afternoon....!!! I'm excited!!! :sifone:

....I feel CHANGE coming on, and today is like DAY 12 I believe on NO DRINKING!!! I'm STILL GOING STRONG!!! ...:Angel_anim:

....I have been drinking my vitamins 3x a day, and drinking POO BABIE shakes, and drinking water & green tea, and eating low carb, and HOPEFULLY soon be shedding some pounds......OR at the very least ( if not better ...some SIZES)

....I was at a comfortable size 4 before (in one pair of pants that I use as measuring tool)...but I gained like a MOFO in Dec...and now I'm back to 8's.....(not that it's a bad thing..just bigger than I was in November) .....but I'm happy cause now I'm getting back into the FULL swing of getting fully active again.....!!! So hopefully this time when I go back down, I'll be firmer than before and look better as well...:smash:

And i took the little formula off Curive's Page: (My measurements TODAY):

True chest (taken above my breasts, under the armpits) 36"
Bust (over largest part of my breasts) 39.5"
Waist, (smallest part) 31"
True Hips (just above the hip bones) 37.5"
Hips (over largest part of my booty) 43.25"

and a few extras:

Biceps (both were the same!) 13"
Thigh (largest part) 25"
Calves 15.5"

I like measurements much better as they are more actual than lbs as to how we look!!! So here they are.....

I agree measurements are much better when I comes to motivation when that scales not moving or even if it is!! Bc you can still see a difference and notice where your body's changing!!

...it's so true...I think one of the reasons I also like measuring is cause the damn scale is depressing....It gives me frustration to have MENTALLY worked hard all week, and then Physically as well...to go and get on the damn thing and NOTHING happen...!!!

...how positive is that right?!?! LOL.... instead....if I take the steps, continue the actions, it will COME and I will notice on the OUTSIDE as well as endurance, and all the GOOD STUFF :D:!!!! .......(but I do it, for these challenges, and if it weren't for the challenges I wouldn't step on that MONSTER :reddevil:) !!! LOL!!!

....oh thank you about my mouth....LOL!!! ;) ...you know how that ONE is....all hell breaks loose when your mouth isn't in working order....!!! LOL!!!

..and the YOGA...OMGGGG :eek2: ....YOU are telling me....it is NO JOKE!!! The positions that they keep on doing are AMAZING..!!! I can only hope to SOON :reddevil: be able to incorporate those INTO MY HOME!!!! LOL!!!

...and I'm feeling the ENDURANCE on my ass, thighs, arms, and back....I'm busted...!! ;)

Props to you for doing yoga. I don't think I could do that at this point in my fitness, I'm struggling enough with pilates. Keep up all the hard work, missy!

VAL.....:OMG GIRL :eek2:!!!....really though :D:...I mean...I KNOW you told me about the YOGA....but you didn't TELL ME :eek:!!!......that shit makes you SORE AS A MUTHA!...my body after day 2 of yoga...was FUCKED UP :boxing:....busted WOMAN, busted!!...LOL!!!

...the truth...even with BIKRAM yoga..YES...did I think it was hard?!?!...WELL....YES and NO....! Yes, because of the DAMN heat...110 degrees makes for some uncomfortable MIND BOGGLING PRESSURE from the heat, and what it takes to concentrate to relax your breathing so you don't topple over....THAT WAS HARD... but overall the moves....not hard....some complicated to get in...but not hard.....and NEVER SORE!

....but this is WAYYYYY DIFFERENT.....!! I really ADMIRE and APPRECIATE what you do now....:iagree: and the INTENSITY of which you do it too!! I could not even believe all the arm resistance moves that make your legs fly :eek:....WTF!?!?! LOL...and the head stands...and WOAAA!!!!

....by the end of the 2nd day....towards the end of the class...I felt my legs trembleeeee from the soreness...and I hadn't even left the class yet...and that particular instructor made it feel like we did hundreds of those DOGMA or whatever you call it ......(they look like Push ups and then head up..and then downward dog...:confused: or something...) LOL...

....well...WHATEVA they call it... (i'll learn soon)....made me FEEL like ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER leaving that place....LOL!!! ....busted I tell you....!!! LOL....

....YOGA IS REALLY AMAZING AND A TRUE SPORT & A REAL WORKOUT!! LOL (...even though it always was...just my PEE brain didn't know :blush5:)!!!
 
....hmmm.....contemplating on whether to do ....

SPINNING tonight (1hr)----something different @ Gym and then more workouts there.....
or YOGA....(1 1/2) & then Gym for some Sauna...and who knows what else.....(yoga probably works way more though)
 
Wohooo...so I've been TESTED several times already when it comes to ALCOHOL ...and I PASSED! Week 3 of no alcohol & I feel great! :sifone:

...I'm not as tired, I don't feel guilty, I haven't been eating EXTRA because of it, I don't go to bed as early, I'm spending less, I'm FULLY AWARE, & I feel like I have gained CONRTOL over ME & the situation at hand...which was that REALITY, I was drinking WAY too many nights out of the week...maybe 4-5...UGGGH!!! I know...but now that it's on LOCK....I can move past that....:coolgleamA: ...LOL!!

...I honestly just want to keep it up...til who knows when.....

ON the other hand....I have REPLACED it with a new habit...that isn't SO GREAT either.....what's up with my addictive personality :confused:....

...so b4 it was Sparks...and especially on weekends...it kind of gave me the feeling of "Ahhhhh a SPARKS to relax.. and NOW....me and my bf have taken up a 16-20 oz cup of coffee ......like THURS night, FRIDAY night, Saturday night, and sometimes SUNDAY too..... I know it's not as bad as alcohol...but ughh....I didn't drop one bad habit to start another....So yeah...I NEED TO CHILL on the COFFEE :chillpill:!

...FOOD:...I found a low carb store....and I found my SOUL MATE there too.....CHOCOLATE!!! SUGAR FREE!!! :drool5:!!!....so I got me some, and some Low Carb Almond Meal and made me the BEST batch of LOW CARB CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES that I could make...and DAMN they were good! ....Lots of fiber in em...:D

...I haven't been cheating on food, actually I a few days ago, I got inspired by some before and after picture of some man somewhere, and I decided that I need to incorporate A LOT more small meals...so i'm trying to kick it up and do at least 5-7 little meals, MAINLY shakes....in the day...and a nice early dinner & snack at night!

Exercise: ...I am carrying my resistance ropes around ALL DAY, and I actually was doing some stupid exercise YESTERDAY and PULLED some shit in my neck :rant:....BUT today I'm ALL BETTER! I've been trying to do stairs, and yoga, and resistance ....

SO FAR SO GOOD, cause I lost 2 lbs this week! :hurray:

...it's funny how it took me LITERALLY ONE month to gain 12lbs :eek: and it's taken me 3 weeks....to lose 6lbs! ....really though...what a numb nut I can be....
