Couch POTATO to "MARATHON" HONEY! :)

Gracious Alta, you look fantastic!! You look so different to the first pic you ever posted, you couldn't even be that girl's sister! Congratulations on coming so far and all the best for what's to come. I have a feeling you'll do us all proud on Oct 11th. :)

I have GREAT NEWS THOUGH:.....FINALLYYYYYYYYYYYY....I am out of the 150's and I broke my FOREVER LONG Plateu....literally like a 7 month plateue....butttt...I'm OUT!!!!.....149 lbs now..........YES!!! :party:!!!

...this motivated me SO MUCH....I felt like nothing had changed in forever...:svengo:...and I was so frustrated...and the amazing thing is my running partner is down to 147...so we are NECK IN NECK!!! :gnorsi:

...we've been working at it....


Exercise the day b4: 4.5 mile run---(mt stomach hurt too much to keep going)
Exercise yesterday: 6 mile run in 92 degree weather...HOT AS HELL~!!!:banghead:...it's the only day I have ever DRAGGED, BITCHED, and COMPLAINED the rest of the last 3 miles....:nopity:

As...well....I've QUIT DRINKING....I'm FINALLY ready to see results and stop self sabatoging myself!!!.....M_Marie...has REALLY inspired me lately!!!...I can't even tell you how much!!! :auto: Thanks Guys!!!...also...MIN....one GALLON of water per day!!!!

Exercise Yesterday: 2 1/2 hours on Stationary bike doing arm exercises while on there, sweating like a pig....while I did a video case study. & 3 mins of 5lbs Hoola hoop.

Drank 2 gallons of water yesterday. Food of the day:(I ate a lot I...couldn't help it...:(...

brkfst: 2 eggs mixed with bell pepper, tomato, onion, 1 slice of 40 wheat cal bread, with 1/2 teaspoon jelly ontop, 1/2 banana sprinkled ontop of 1 toasted waffle with 1 tablespoon of lite syrup....(I KNOW A LOT OF FOOD...it always happens when with my bf sometimes..)

snack: 2 little palm size of Tilapia (cooked from the night b4) with 3 squares of Yucca (that's what we call it...vegetable?)
1 bite of the frozen Snickers in the freezer (my bf bought it for .25cents...pttrrr)

lunch: 2 little palm size of Tilapia (still left over) with 1 square of yucca

snack: 1 1/2 handful of assorted nuts -almonds, peanuts, brazil nuts

dinner: 1 1/2 cup of Sparkling Apple Cider
1/2 tortilla (Sprouted non wheat Ezequial) w/ a little Soy Cheese-melted-
2 tablespoons of Tahini Sauce
3/4 cup of vegetable marsala Indian mix w/ small potatoes in it, green peas, carrots

....my stomach woke up IN PAIN again this morning....this has been the story of the week for the past week....FUCKN IBS!....I am getting to the point where I am scarred to EAT ANYTHING anymore...I was good for like 7 months,...and NOW...shit I ate bad the week prior but FUCK...will the people in my stomach running my factory....GET OVER IT ALREADY!!..ugggghhh....so yea....have to REALLY REALLY watch what I eat now..cause I am running on Sensitive.........





...Decided I'm going to try to exercise EVERYDAY!...my toe has been hurting like crazy because it was hurt by this thing in the backyard of my mom's house when I went to go see her...the toe thing was a while back couple months, and it turned blue...then I think it has a fungus or something :puke: between the nail....:rant: so I bought this stuff at the market that looks like it has acid in it or something to try to make this nail fall off with whaterever GERMS it has stored in there....:willy_nilly:

...regardless, it HURTS when I run now...I think it's getting irritated cause it looks like it's drying up...I HOPPPPPPE! :blush5:

...TODAY IS DAY 5 of no ALCOHOL!!!!

.....we are planning a camping trip where you can ride down in tire tubes for 3 hours straight ....IN A BATHINGSUIT of course....:blush5::piggy:....so I just want to feel comfortable out there.......EVERDAY exercise can possibly get me there!!!!!!!!!!!!!.................why not?!?!!? I'm over the STUMP!!!!!.....and I'm gonna weigh in next Sat...one week from the date...to REALLY motivate myself!

Snack: 1 Soy Protein Shake-2 scoops of Protein (120 cals) + 1 banana 80 + 2 tablespoons of oatmeal (20 cals)= 220 cals
Snack: Banana= 80 cals + Power Bar-carrot cake flavor- 240 cals= 320 cals

*****45-50 mins of Power Yoga -core ......SO HARD.....*******
Snack: 1/2 Raw Bar-peanut butter flavor (80 cals) = 80 cals

Dinner: 1/2 cup cooked Quinoa (127 cals), 2-3 ounces of tofu (75-90 cals) + Indian Sauce for Tofu (50 cals?!?)
1 cup of Apple Cider Sparkling (100 cals) , 1/4 avocado (75 cals), 1 1/2 Sprouted Ezequial (non flour-gluten free) Tortilla w/
Soy Cheese- (270 cals with the cheese-overestimating I think.)= 712 calories (WHOOOA that sounds crazy!)

Snack: 1 whole wheat slice of bread (100) w/ 1/2 teaspoon of Peanut Butter (45) cals and One Tablespoon of Jelly (10 cals)=155 cals

Tuesday: 35-40 mins of Yoga Stretches.--nice ab work-again. (75 cals-120 cals burned)
Wednesday: day off
Thursday: 1 hour UPHILL run to the HOLLYWOOD SIGN :D..@ 4:30 pm -95 degrees outside--with a NICE breeze, hot as hell though, got extra crispy skin..hahah-+ 30 mins of Power Yoga (450-500 cals for run + 100 avg. for yoga= 600 cals burned)

Saturday: (weigh in day)

....BAM!!! I love the smell of consistency here!!! :D!......ALSO day 6 of NO DRINKING...tomorrow will be ONE WEEK, as well as one week of drinking water like a mofo!! :reddevil:!......about 2, 825 cals burned this week so far....WOOHOO...almost to one lb of loss!

....I'm on my way!!!....and I've been consistently exercising. ;)...drinking my gallon of water daily (close to it at least), and counting calories....getting ready for that camping trip on the Aug. 14th!!!....I am starting to feel different inside by just doing these things consistently, I feel there is no way that I could not loose by then.....(except for cheats...:puke:...which other than the bread rolls haven't happened. Yet they as well were within my calories...but not the best option of course. Moderation though. Fuck it.)


Food yesterday:

Brkfst: 1 tortilla -Ezequial Sprouted-gluten free-w/ Soy cheese
(150 cals + 140 cheese (overestimating)=290 cals)

Snack: 1 Raw Bar-cranberry =180 cals-no chemical preservatives-organic

Lunch: 1 Spicy Tuna Sushi Salad (=350 cals with sauce-estimating per internet)
1 cup of miso soup-=40 cals-no tofu

Snack: 1 Vegan Cranberry Bar=180 cals-gluten free-organic

Dinner: (late-10:30pm when I got out of class)
3/4-1 cup of white pasta w/ tomato sauce and one meatball (i ate it..)
2 little bread butter filled w/ seasonings BREAD ROLLS..:piggy:
(one wasn't enough....man they were good--small but packed!)
1/2 cup of Caesar Salad w/3-4 croutons and one tablespoon of
dressing
(meatball-116 cals, 1 cup pasts-176 cals-2 bread rolls=300 cals=600
cals)
.....the good thing is I consciously wanted pasta and told myself
that I could have it AS LONG as I didn't eat it all..which I didn't!:biggrinjester:

.......then I decided to do 35-40 mins of yoga with core concentration moves....after I thought about the ROLLS I ate :piggy:,...and how they were probably shifting to the other rolls on my body! :banghead:! hahah....GOT IT DONE though!

i am down to 154 now...i started spinning and weight lifting..so spin mon, wed and fri and the weight lifting on tues and thurs. on the weekend i might walk or not..depending...it really helped break my plateau...

when i see 149 i am gonna do the cabbage patch dance and maybe a few cartwheels...wooot woot woot woot...

hey alta keep up that good work yo do! i am thinking about actually counting cals for a week just so i know exactly what i take in. i feel i don't need it, but people ask me so much, it makes me wonder. i just try to work hard when i exercise and eat til i'm not hungry and only eat when i'm hungry. btw have i ever told you how much i adore your energy. generally words are emotionless, but when you type it oozes with it! keep it up home girl. and keep getting smaller! congrats on no drinking for a week! I don't drink at all so all i had was pop to ditch.. keep it up!

The one good thing I can tell you about counting calories this past week, is that the feeling of CONTROL has gone through the roof....I try to count before I eat it,...but last night I counted after dinner..and it worked..but it almost became SCARRY in a blink ;)..hahah

...I was like you...didn't care much about counting and isn't something I want or can do forever...seems annoying!...butttt....like you said...it's important to know what goes in....and this DEFINITELY helps!

...you should do it...at least for a week right..?!?! ;) :D...:iagree:.....and THANKKK YOU for the compliments!!! I usually just write how I feel...hahaha....and for the most part...it's always HAPPY! :D! YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!

Great work on the no drinking Alta! And on smashing that plateau too! I thought my plateau was bad until I heard about yours! Now I am really motivated again. :)

I agree about the bike being a Cute Butt factory..! I used to do exercise bike and had the best ass imaginable - I highly recommend it!!! :iagree:

Not that your butt isn't sexy as hell now of course. ;)

.....I am super proud of myself for not DRINKING day 8!!!!!!!!! :party:! As well, yesterday I went to go hang out with my friends, and I realized that if I were to have been drinking with them...I would have consumed about 700-1000 calories EXTRA...in one night ALONE!....I mean shit...no wonder I had a plateu for 7 months!....drinkin and eating like that ....WHO WOULDN'T?!?!

...I have "exchanged" the behavior....for WATER...so for every cup I would have drank...I now drink WATER!

...As well, I am really proud of myself for working out as much as I have been....for me...it's AMAZING...!!!...I'm really really getting the hang of this DAILY workout thing!

...and counting calories...is doing amazing things for my AWARENESS!!!....I guess you can't knock it til you try it.....this is a FIRST for me....to actually track it DAILY! :D! BAM!....I smell change coming....

hey gorgeous how r u doing im doing good your looking sexy well in the only pic i can see of u i wanna see your progress pics ... i fell off of the boat and thank god i didnt gain any weight but i think i lost some of my muscle but im ccoming back on the boat and im not wearing a life jacket cause this time its gonna be better and im not fallling off( well i hope not lol cause i might drown lol) well take care hope to talk to u soon again

Awww...thanks!!!...:blush5:....I really am just trying to hold myself accountable for EACH day..as if there are no tomorrows.!...Have you noticed how easy it is to lie to oneself when we KNOW that tomorrow can be such an easy way out!....I almost fell victim to it yesterday too.....:smilielol5:....BUT...I was able to real myself out of that mentality....!! ....

:party:!!! Woot Wooot!!!!....TODAY IS DAY 9 of NO DRINKING & DAY 9 of drinking ONE GALLON a DAY, and DAY 5 of counting cals and staying within my LIMIT! :D! ;)!

....beat the DEVIL :reddevil: & I'm doing it!!!!!!!!! JUST DO IT!

....I am working out and at the VERY VERY Least, I know I am not hurting my body and that I am making conscious efforts to change my INSIDES to be healthy!!! :D!

...I am kina excited about the weigh in on SAT!!!....dunnnn dunnn dunnnn!!!:D! Let's see what happens!!?!?!?! ............I'd be happy with 1.5 lbs loss!!!!

(1.5 lbs loss x 4 weeks=6 lbs loss) & (6lbs lost per month x 4 months= 24 lbs lost)=GOAL!!!

....I can't wait!....

***By adding all the exercise....I have burned this week....a total of 3,545 calories so far this week!......THAT IS 1 LB of LOSS ALREADY there!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!

...I guess there is something to this methodical ways!!! hahahahah :D! !
