Yup, well I hope that my body will give me a loss. I've worked hard this week and I just need this boost but I know that it is more likely for my body to get used to the gym before I start dropping weight again.
 
No way! I love Saskatoon; I lived there for a couple years in college. I went to SIAST :) I'll have to visit you one day:D I'm heading out today for Alberta next...

I love saskatoon too! I'm attending the UofS here right now and it's really awesome.

So I must be retaining water or something because I'm up 2 lbs, but I weighted in after only 3 hours of sleep and I was guzzling water and eating later at night because I had a bingo, so I expected it be off.

Anyways, I'm just waiting to get picked up from school, so I guess I should go check for my ride eh!~
 
I had a great weekend thank!

Ok, so recap from yesterday: Had my night class last night which is drama. we went on a "brisk walk" which is more like a fast run to me because my teacher was in the olympics and is really good shape haha. We walked atleast 1.5 miles and did physical activity for a soild 1 hour and 50 minutes. Then I walked over to the gym and did the eliptical for 32.5 minutes and burned 415 calories *yay* me.

Today's recap:

No night class so I hit the gym right after classes. I did the eliptical for 40 minutes and burned 510 calories. I finally got my heart rate to get down into the weightloss zone. I was very proud of myself. I've definately become more fit in the last 3 months. I'm super proud of myself because I've finally let go of my fear of what others think of me and I even can go to gym all by myself, which I would not have been able to do before. It's a HUGE step, so I just have to pat myself on the back.
 
Miss Kallie, you're my hero! I can't believe you do the elliptical for that long :eek: I can only manage 10 minutes at the most!
 
Well with the eliptical, I have to be careful to keep my heart rate in a certain zone and not let it get too high. I always make sure I feel a burn, but I don't treat it like a sprint. I look like I go a lot slower than everybody else, but I'm just trying to build up to the point where I can go faster safely.
 
I think with the elliptical its not how fast you go. I concentrait..or try to...on my heart rate and keeping it in the fat burning zone. I always try to at least burn 500 cals. Sometimes I have to increase the incline and resistence to get that work out...and sometimes, just sometimes I have to sprint to a really fast song. I don't usually go so hard and fast that I'm pouring sweat or out of breath, I do what feels comfortable to me. Most of the time I can carry on a conversation with the person next to me, unless, of course my ipod is blaring Pink...then I'm booking it and in a "zone"...I guess you could call it.

You are doing GREAT! And YES! Your stamina will so increase in time :) Good for you for not caring what anyone else thinks - you are there, taking care of YOU! It can't get better then that ;)
 
My gym plays pretty good music. I'm a poor, lowely student and can't afford ipods or such like that haha...I don't even have a cell phone.

Today I was watching/reading Dr.Phil while working out. It was on, just with the subtitle things, so I was reading what was going on. It was pretty good. It kept my mind off of things while I was working through an incline.

Do your elipticals have program options. I do the weightloss one, with 3 inclines and then it levels off and then back into an incline. It really gets the thighs burning. haha

Don't feel bad, the day I wasn't allowed to drive truck anymore, I threw mine in the garbage. If I'm not here to answer my landline then chances are I'm not interested in phone convos and probably out doing something much more important or fun.

Though it was the greatest gift to a trucker (or anyone for that matter), I never much cared for owning one.

MAJOR kudos to you for getting in the gym and leaving your fears in the locker room. One of these day all you workin' out chicks are gonna inspire me to giddy up myself.
 
my gym plays pretty repetitive music, i can afford an ipod and even have the latest one - but damn they get in the way sometimes!
I just watch the sports or whatever else is on the other tvs with no sound (they have mtv sound on). They do make a great distraction sometimes and the time go faster :)

I really LOVE the eliptical. It burns WAY more calories than walking alone and takes way less time. It's awesome. I always feel preocupied when I'm on the eliptical.

Right now I'm stuck at school until 9:30pm. So I think I'm going to go take a nap in the lounge and then read some of my homewerk and then I have a night class and then the gym.

This one does...but I'd like to be able to do my 10 min. without having to take a 30 second break a couple of times before I try a whole program:eek: :D
 
Yea, I started slow too. I'm slowly working my way up too.


I'm trying to drink my water. I'm on 50oz out of 155oz and I'm drinking another 17 oz bottle as I type. My tummy hurts from all the water haha.
 
ok, water is now at 67 oz out of 155. That leaves 88 oz to go. I am confindent I'll reach my goal for today! I'm starting another 17 oz bottle and I normally drink one during drama and 2 or 3 when I go to the gym.
 
That's what I feel like. I've got to think more positively about my water drinking because I always feel like 5 litres is too much. I normally get in 2 to 3 litres a day but I really want to get this accomplished for my team!
