Melbourne Girls - do you all live out in the east?

Hi All and welcome to all the newbies

Bye Bye Blubber - To answer your question I live in the east of melbourne, near coldstream. I am meeting a few girls on Saturday if you would like to come. Glad to see you are doing well.

Less of me - great advise on the weighing issue. Girls seriously let your measurements and your clothes be your best guide as to what you have lost. Putting on clothes that are now very loose or a size smaller will give you a better feeling than what the 10second scales routine will give you. And to answer someones statement about being 65 and the next day weighing 65.5, the .5 is more about fliud than weight and the time of month it could be rather than puting on extra kilos.

To all the girls in singapore well done on creating a face to face support network it sound like you are all great friend, helping each other get through this program while being active and social - i think you should all give yourselves a high five.

To all the girls in Melbourne coffee is still on on Saturday or if this is not suitable please let me know. It would be really nice to meet people in melbourne as there is no clinic and i feel a little isolated. This forum is great but so many people i know are not here anymore.

Cheers Jewls

meeting up is great.. i missed the last one.. had to bring my students to see a competition... hope to make it for the next one~ :D

Does anyone have a recipes for curry (or anything like curry)? I'm going nuts eating the same foods cooked the same way day after day!

ver - Have you checked out the Cohen's Website? There are heaps of recipes on there and I think from memory there are some for curries. Also check out page 191 of this forum...I put posted 3 of my favourite recipes on that page. Have fun trying out some new tastes!

~BAM~ (and anyone else who is interested/curious) - There are some before and 'so far' photos of me on page 191 as well. My 'so far' photo was a while ago...I have lost almost another 15kg since then :D . I will endeavor to get the camera out and take some more photos...one of these days. Is it just me or is time passing extra fast at the moment  ? I seem to be always busy, but never get everything done that I need to!!!

Netski: Absolutely fantastic!! Thanks so so much for sharing those. And what a gem of a husband to put that website together - how beautiful!!
There is something that it especially highlights... and that is that you were beautiful before you lost weight - and you seem to have something great going on on the inside of you as well!! Right now you should be so proud of yourself. Congratulations big time. And how you look now just enhances what was/is already YOU!!
Thanks again for sharing,
lizzi

Netski way to go girl. I agree with everything Lizzi said. Things are going great here. Good to read the encouraging comments from many of you.
Welcome all the newbies. Dont deviate. It makes things harder. But if you do, thats why we have the support on this forum, contrary to how some may feel. We are all here for each other. Its an interesting journey. I've come to realize it brings out the best in some and the worst in others, and we all learn lots along the way.

HI Netski

woohoo, you look fantastic, and so different. YOu were lovely to start with, but now you're gorgeous. YOu must have a very wonderful and loving hubby, who is obviously very in love with you.

thanks for sharing

Wow

Netski, Thanks for sharing such a wonderful site, you look amazing! What a wonderful Husband you have. Well done. You have given me more inspiration after having a bad day today. Thanks

Less of me, you must be so proud, you have come such a long way, I can't wait to see your final photo!! You look awesome.

Well, after a day of regret I hope to be back on track tomorrow. I still feel YUCK from the chips I ate at lunchtime and know that I want to be wearing a bikini by Christmas. So back to it!!!

I am so glad I have found this site, it's encouraging to see how far people have come. I hope to be one of you very soon.

Thanks Slinkee for your kind words of support.

Mitmary7, I will try and get some of the tea tomorrow and hopefully get some movement in "that" department.

Take Care all:D

Neti - your dumb friend knows what you look like now but where is the Update section with the new photos? You were right to worry about me, as you know I've had a crap couple of days, and I have deviated and feel crap for it.

Only just got home from work and I have another full and stressful days ahead. Must put it behind me and move on, but sitting here I've just looked at my desk and seen my blood test form, I keep forgetting to take it in the morning and now I just don't know when I am going to get it done, it was so much more convenient in Brisbane... why is that!!! Crapola.

Anyway - will get back on track and make an effort to log on each night as it keeps me together and I promise to be more positive! And then it doesn't take so long to read all the posts - everyone is doing so well by the way!

Hmmm - hubby watching a movie with Matthew McConaughy in it - so sorry everyone, Matt wins hands down (mmmmm yum yum there's a man with a sensation bod - I want to be the female equivalent!)

Netski whoohooo you are brave and you have done it!!!
The hard work has paid off girl. I have set a challenge to get to goal by end of September.

I'm jealous!!!

Netski - Ditto everything that sassysapphire86, lizzi, L-Jay, slinkee, Princessoz & karol said! I am soooooooooooooooo jealous! Where on earth (or is it somewhere else altogether) did you find your man? He must love you sooooooooooo much to have put together such a gorgeous site...what a beautiful thing - it brings a tear to my eye...Thank you for sharing such a personal thing. Was it a gift to you for a special occasion or something? Was it a surprise? You have to tell him that he has restored my faith in the male species. If there is one man out there that is capable of telling everyone how he feels in such a beautiful and expressive way, then there is hope yet!
Have a great night everyone!

I am extremly impressed with all of you. I just read about the program yesterday. Unfortunately it is not available in Canada, except online. I am hesitant to purchase without having a "consulatation" so I know what I am getting into. I was wondering if any of you have a few moments to brief me?

What is a typical day like on the diet when you begin? I see some people on the forum talk aout the first week being hard. What is hard. What is the typical day?
Is it a starvation type diet that leaves you dizzy? Doea anyone here live in Canada?
What kind of material/support is received by the clinic?

I thank all of you and your wonderful knowledge. It will help me in making a decision wihtout being sight "unseen" as it were.

Judy

Hey fornight, were you seeing your consultant yesterday, around 6.30 pm? I was in the next room with cheryl and i thought i might have seen you.

anyway, Singapore boys and girls...could we plan another meet up session? The last one kinda fizzled out. Sassysapphire...if it ends up just being you and me only again, I'm still game to meet up....

I don't mind fixing a date again. My weighing scale did not show much loss for the past two weeks but my clothes does tell me something. I guess frequent weighing for maintenance is good but not when you are trying to lose weight. You can really get demoralised when you see even a 200g increase!

I pulled out an old skirt for work today. Although it is a bit loose but I thought at least it will hold up for a while. All my office skirts are too big and I am too lazy to do some kind of sewing to shrink them. But during mid day, the skirt just kept sliding down that I have to go and find a metal rack clip and fasten them to make them tight enough to stay put. I look ridiculous today. Baggy Suit blouse with an almost baggy skirt (supposedly tight for the look). The long sleeves are so loose that even though I have buttoned up the cuffs, I can push the cuffs all the way above elbows! I can't wait for the right time to purchase fitter office clothes. I am a sucker for those tight power suits!!!

I love my new legs nowadays@!!!! They are so much slimmer. for those singaporeans who took the public transport buses (SBS Transit), you should know that the two-seaters at the back does not have much of leg space. I am so proud to announce that I am able to CROSS my legs properly when I take those seats!

I am bringing at least two friends for cohen consultation this sunday. They are very interested in it when they saw me shrinking. If they do join, we will be able to have 2 more members for Singapore Cohen Dieters' gathering.

Netski: WOW I checked out your site you look fantastic. Congratulations. I have enjoyed your positive posts they are very motivating.

Bam: I think it was you asking about watches and rings. My watch braclet hangs down now where it use to leave impressions on my wrist. My engagement ring and weddding ring have moved to my middle finger and they are not tight, I almost lost them down the loo before I moved them.

Fortnight: I had a similar experience the other day with my clothes. I looked like I had clown panse on, the sides were flapping and the waist band was sliding way down. I had to keep my hand in my pocket to keep them up.My more recent purchases were all hanging on the line wet and the weather has turned warm rather suddenly so I was stuck. Less then six weeks back they were snug fitting.Congratulations on starting the full programme.

Less Of Me: While I have noticed the cms comming down I have found this month (my third) to be a lot slower in kg loss. I noticed your ticker and how how much weight you have lost and was wondering what you kg monthly losses have been. I remember reading on this forum that others have a slow thrid month. I am heading for my 12week blood and weigh in next wednesday and am thinking about starting some exercise. Fit ball and weights to begin with.

L-Jay: Hello. Good to see you. Not long to go now, your finish line is getting real close.

Welcome to all the newbies and those thinking about joining IT REALLY WORKS just follow it 100% and watch science work its magic. :)

oh man, i'm so over this!!! aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhh. I know, i just have to grit my teeth, take a breath and work through this little blip :p . I just can't wait to be able to not weigh my food and to not worry when i'm out and about and to just be able to have a sandwich....

Although, i hope i'll be able to - the other day i did one of my massive shift extensions after a night shift and in the end i had a toasted cheese and tomato and ham sandwich with a coffee (i'd been awake for going on 24 hours and working for about 20 of those). Some 2 hours after that - man did i need to go to the toilet!!! stomach pain like i've not had for some time. Just my luck, no doubt i'll never be able to eat bread again!!!!!!!

Thanks ladies for the space to whinge - i'll go have some water and a good sleep in.

well, no sleep in. Damn night shift ! (shaking my fist madly). I'm so out of whack, i've been awake since 6.30am, having gone to bed at 2am trying to sleep in (i have to work at 10.30pm tonight). Well, hopefully i'll sleep this afternoon.

On the bright side, a loss of 1.5kg this week, even with the night shift and the crazy shift extension and toasted sandwich "incident" on Monday :p

I've added my holiday count down ticker as well - i think i'll be buying some bathers!!!!
