Mrs Clooney, I am in the same boast I have some a massive schedule of travel coming up to and I was devistated to find out I can use a griller in hotel rooms!!! but i have thought about it and i might get an electric fry pan and a long extension cord and cook on the balconies when available or outdoors when in the motels and the others well I am not sure yet.. anyway I am hoping to work it out as I go I intend to be very picky if I get to a point where I have no choce

I'm back in a size 14!!!

Hi all

It feels like ages since I have added anything to the forum but in fact it’s only been a week and a bit. I had a week annual leave for ‘Lauren Time Out and Relaxation’ which was wonderful but it did get me a bit off track! I didn’t have anything I’m not allowed to but I did lack in the water and had a few too many sprite zero’s, pieces of fruit or crackers on particular days. I mind was well and truly on holidays, which was the purpose, but getting back into routine on Monday felt amazing. It’s ironic really. Anyway I still had a 1.5kg loss so at least I didn’t put on or do too much damage! It’s all good from here and am looking forward to a big loss next fortnight!

My leave started off poorly as my Oma (grandmother) passed away and my first day of leave was also her funeral. I was particularly close to my Oma so Monday was quite traumatic for me but it turned out well with having the rest of the week off to crochet, knit and scrapbook which gave me time to deal with it all and also celebrate her in a few pages.

I did a nice big early spring clean too which felt great. The linen and kitchen cupboards, my wardrobe (wow that was a lot of fun trying on so many clothes I haven’t been able to get on in year fitting like a glove) etc etc etc.

Anyway just wanted to check in and say I’m back and full of spirit! I tried on a pair of 14 pants last night and they slide on and did up with no drama! I haven’t worn a size 14 in over 10 years now and here I was thinking I wouldn’t break all those 16’s down!

I love this program!

Healthy thoughts to all – stay active in the forum… it’s been great reading and welcome to all the newies!

Lauren

Sorry – the post ended up longer than planned! I guess I got excited!

Oh My Gosh...Day 6 on the program with no probs woohoo headaches gone...but a menatl battle which I think im winning ...but this arvo I took a client out for coffee after school - turned out she hadnt eaten lunch so we ended up at KFC....I just had a black tea and watched longingly as she devoured a two piece feed...

Well done every-one!!
Every little notch on the belt, every little cm lost, every temptation resisted deserves a big pat on the back!! A collective well done to everyone on the forum. Cheers:beerchug:(herbal tea!) & happy:) losing, Cate.

Hi all!!! i am thinking of going on the cohen program. But i am really confused about all the things that ppl are telling me eg: you can't lose wait so fast, its unhealthy, you will have lose skin etc. I have a lot of weight to lose about 40kg. would i be left with alot of loose skin? is there anyone out there who have lost this much weight and have experienced loose skin? i have been fat all my life since childhood. pls help!!

soul84 I am 54yrs old, have lost 36kg in the last 6 months & can only say that I feel great & looking at me now you would not know that my skin stretched to cover an extra 36kg! I haven't started exercising yet as I'm waiting for some nice weather! Don't listen to them! Cohen's is great! My tastes have changed, my cravings are non-existent & I will not be going back to unhealthy eating & now look forward to a healthy, active old age!:jump:
Cheers, Cate.

Soul84 Cate is right she has done such an amazing job you should have a look at some of these peoples diaries, that is where the truth is I believe. Before I started I spent a whole week ready posts and diary seeing peoples journeys first hand. The food is really not that different interms of portion sizes compared to what other places recommened just the make up of what you eat is specific and it works. I am in my first week and I already feel better and have so much confidence that this is my solution. Hope you find the answers you are looking for in these forums.

All the best

Me again

Just a quick question on the vitamins.
Is it best to buy the vitamins from Cohens or are the ones at health food shop just as good?

Chezza- My clinic recommended theirs or Blackmores slow release multi. In hindsight I would probably have taken theirs as everything else they have recommended has been spot on. My local health food store owner says that we should take a women's(or mens) multi as we have quite different vitamin needs. I also take a 1000mg Omega 3 & calcium/magnesium as recommended. Good luck with the program although I don't think luck comes into it. You have the right idea being prepared as I think it's very important. Cheers, Cate.

chezza- How are you going? The first week is the toughest. After that you get into the swing of it. Try not to do too much at the start. Look after yourself. Cheers, Cate.

Hello Everyone,

I am back from vacation and it seems like everyone is doing so well. For all of you still thinking of joining... do it... you won't regret it. I am proud to say I didn't gain any weight at all. yippee.

Hi Chezza

I had some much trouble getting mine to work... I just kept doing the same thing over and over and then for no reason (I'm sure anyway) it worked.

There is a thread dedicated to it. Here is the link http://weight-loss.fitness.com/newcomers/7987-how-work-tickers.html

Hopefully it will let me add the link... We'll see. If not just search for it using the thread number or name (7987-how-work-tickers).

Hope you can get it going!

They are great for the motivation!

Lauren
