Thanks Asy for getting the login fixed on your forum I now have access.

Sorry to everyone yesturday I was having an downer day and took things the wrong way...

Today is a new day... only looking forward....

Suzie- you can start to increase your water intake.. for every 25kg's you weigh you should drink 1 ltr of water.....you should be drinking around 4 ltrs a day.

start to cut out milk, sugar and bread. Speak to your consultant and get a good multi vit's.

without fail I still drink 3 ltrs of water as I feel very thursty if I don't.

hope this helps you a little.

4 weeks completed!

Just a quick update...
In the 4 weeks I've lost 9kg / 19.84 lbs!
So it just goes to prove if you stick to it IT WORKS!!!! Thanks to everybody for the advice, tips and support along the way so far. I know it made a big difference to know lots of people are going through the same thing!
Looking forward to the next 9kg. Really need some new trousers as my work ones are looking silly, but as I will need to buy an even smaller pair after the next month it seems like a waste of money!
This week I wore a pair of my favourite trousers that I haven't worn for 3 years! Fortunately they are very classic so I didn't look too dated!!!
Keep going everyone, and DON'T be tempted to DEVIATE, its just cheating yourself and you deserve to treat yourself better than that!

Hi Chezza

Congrats on your decision to start Cohens....honestly you won't regret it.

I eat Valia yogurt...the others make me nearly throw up. I also stew green apples and puree and add some to my yogurt...its rather yum.

I just take a womens multi v....not sure of the name, but I just spoke to the lady at the health food store and explained and she was helpful.

The first week is hard, but its amazing how quickly you build up a strong will power when it comes to resisting food. I had my b'day dinner last night and I just had the chicken salad, but I didn't really feel like the garlic butter prawns and potatos etc...well maybe a little but you just have to remember how fantabolous you will feel when you are at goal weight.

All the best, remember we are here to help and support you.

The Vaalia Yoghurt you can get in flavoured or Natural...You should only have the Natural one. Jhalna is another brand but I found that the Vaalia was a little more sweeter.
Mango's when in season are nice with the yohgurt. I couldn't eat it with out.

Hello Suzie slim

It took 3 days i live in Newcastle NSW and had my blood test on Tuesday and got all my info on the Friday from Sydney in the mail, so not long.
I have about 80kilos to loose and this seems to be my last resort in dieting, so i hope it works

Chezza- It will!! Read your program when you get it, re-read & re-read again. Ask your consultant any questions, ask us any questions. Start it when you really understand it & are well and truly prepared. Get really organised with your food. Have things ready in the fridge & the freezer. Planning & being prepared are crucial. Keep looking at your program constantly when you start. Have a look at it every day. If you follow the program, without any deviations, you will do it!
In the mean-time have a wander around the forum. This helped me a lot at the start. You see where some slip up, gain valuable tips, a laugh, a cry & can learn a lot from it. You will get lots of support in here! Cheers & happy losing, Cate.(At goal weight this morning & I'm jumping out of my skin!:jump: )

Hello

Hi Cheeza,
Good luck, all you need to do like Cate said is plan. On Sunday I plan all my meals for the week. I cut up the protein portions and put them in little zip lock bags for the freezer so they are ready to go. If you have things at hand then it makes it so much easier. Throw out or give away any unallowed items so you cant be tempted. It may seem like a waste but it is also a waste of the money you pay for Cohens if you deviate! I'm best when temptation is removed!
Vitamins- Blackmores Blue label Multi (8 hour slow release) and Natures own Calcium/Magnesium with D3.
Its really important to take Calcium. Esp for women over 35, due to risks of osteoporosis, and also muscle tone.
The Jalna natural low fat (0.1%) yoghurt (green tub) has a high calcium content and a lower sugar content than the others Ive looked at. I mix it with 75g of mango and 1/2 an apple chopped up and microwaved till its soft (3-4 mins) and then the yoghurt on the top. Yum.
Good luck, I wasn't sure it would work but I can tell you Cohens is great and scientifically proven! Its all about stabalising those blood sugar levels so hang in there the first few days and then things settle down, you will be amazed. Keep us posted. :)

Well done on reaching your goal Cate, I have 1 kg to go before refeed. I think I will order it this week. Had a big blow out last weekend for my birthday and gained 1.2kg so would have been there but anyway it was fun...Do most people lose weight on the refeed? And what if you put weight on after, do you go back to the diet or what? does any one know?

Thankyou to eveyone for the advise, it is very daunting!!
Good luck to you all, im sure there will be many more questions to come so i hope you all dont get sick of me.
I just want to do it the right way so i have no excuses for quitting

Wow! Thank you to everyone! I was a bit gob-smacked when I looked in here. You sure know how to make a gal feel good!
I think most lose a little during re-feed but, like everything else it would probably vary from person to person. I started re-feed at 70.5kg & was 69kg on day 6 (yesterday). If I could stay at that I would be very happy. I will get my guidelines to maintenence, after I finish re-feed.
Chezza-We will never get sick of your questions. Promise!
Gotta go as I haven't typed in my diary yet, cheers, Cate.

CONGRATS CATE - WONDERFUL EFFORT

Look forward to hearing how refeed goes. I'm sure you will go great guns.

I have finally lost weight this morning....its been nearly 2 weeks....hopefully the scales will love me again tomorrow.

Skinny thoughts to all
