Hi FatCat,
Refeed is going well! I'm onto my last 2 days - WOOHOO!! I can't believe I am finally getting to the end!
There is soo much food in the last few days it's almost overwhelming! There is no way I will be eating this much when I finish - but it is so good to know that I can eat all this food without gaining weight.
I'm so glad I'm at the end, it feels like I have been on this Cohen's Bus for Sooo long! Not that I am complaining or anything crazy like that.. this really is the most amazing program the results truly speak for themselves.

I'm off this afternoon to get a new 'do' well really just a colour job, my boyfriend is a hairdresser (well he's actually working as a sales rep for Delorenzo hair care at the moment) but his family have a salon in the city, so I'm going there tonight and I'm going to kick back get pampered and foiled while I enjoy my first wine in a looonnggg time!! Very excited about that! - God I sound like an alco!!

Everyone is doing so well in here! Well done and keep on at it, stick to it and don't deviate and you will see how sexy and beautiful you really are very soon!
Congrats Lessfatty, you must be soo proud of yourself, you have done such an amazing job!! Are you going to share some before and after photo's with us soon??

Hi everyone,

I've been out of the picture for a while cuz I threw myself off the wagon a few weeks ago. Have picked myself up and am determined to get this done.

Has anyone out there completed the refeed and then gone back to do Cohens again? my plan says if you put on more that 4 kg after re-feed then you have to do a whole new blood test and get a new plan. Is anyone doing this for the 2nd time and gained more than was allowed?

I have a question for the Cohenites in Singapore
- where can you get low fat Ricotta cheese? I'm so tempted to make the cheesecakes, but I cant find lowfat Ricotta in the supermarkets. Can I use any other type of cheese?

Anyway, everyones doing so well. And for those on re-feed....the end is near ;)

low-fat ricotta

Hi ladydening, I've asked my consultant about cheeses before and she says no need to get the low-fat version. The only rule to remember is that cottage cheese must be the plain type. Hope this helps.

I have been reading 100's of posts & thought it time I started contributing. My 1st 4 wks I lost 10kg & was so excited. I started weighing myself more often & got really disheartened. I lost a further 4kg in the 2nd 4 wks. I have not deviated once. I am not drinking as much water as I did at the start. I was waking up 3 or 4 times a night to pee.
I know that 14 kg is an amazing loss but no-one is commenting. Perhaps they think it might sound insulting. I shouldn't need encouragement from others but I'm afraid I do. Yesterday I handed my husband the scales & asked him to hide them for 4 wks. My mum has been visiting & even she did not comment. Funny thing is I know I have shrunk considerably. I am no longer self-conscious about my size but am looking forward to the day when some-one says. Gee Cate you are looking good!
Sorry about the sooking. Needed to get that off the chest.

Hi to all you very inspiring people

Hi
I, like Cate have also been reading over all your posts and decided time to say hello, introduce myself and tell you all how wonderful I find this forum and how inspiring you all are.
I started on the 2nd February and have lost 11 kilos thus far. I can't believe how easy it has been, I am soooooooooooooo luving it!

I am aiming to look Fabulous for my 40th in August this year.

Cate, no-one has noticed or said anything to me either about my weight loss (apart from the people who know I am on it) but I just put that down to I have so much to lose and I am only a shorty that it's not that noticeable yet. I am hoping once I have dropped 20kg they may start noticing.

Looking forward to contine being inspired by all of you, learning alot from all of you and being part of this happy Cohen family.

TTFN

cate - please dont be discouraged! i myself carry my weight well being 176cm,of bigger build and i was athletic in highschool so am muscly (no yukky bulk muscle!!)

i didnt really start getting compliments till i lost about 15-20 kilos, after that they kept rolling in..i love them i really do but im getting sick of 'dont lose any more or youll look sick!'....its still a nice feeling..in a sickening sort of way haha :)

Also Welcome to annie! both of you girls have had amazing losses and im positive youll be seeing more...SOOOON! :)

Welcome to the forum and happy losing!

In my book i got from my clinic it says if you have cottage cheese it must be low fat or fat free, and yes, the plain type, so you might want to check that with your consultant. And as for the other cheese, it does not have to be low fat, but cheese is recommended to be restricted to 3 times per week, and feta only once a week due to it's high salt content.

Hi there Cate and Annie, welcome aboard. Don't worry too much about the compliments. You know in your hearts that you are losing weight, and eventually people will start to notice. Sometimes too it's a mind set that you are still big. I know i have that. i know i've lost weight, but i can't see it. My hubby however, can notice it. If you have supportive partners (or someone close to you) who can see the difference, then that's all that matters. And even though none of us on here may know you in real life, we're all here to help you along your journey and give you the encouragement and motivation that you will need. Keep up the good work.

:D Hi Cate n Annie
I must have to say It was the same for me as it was for FatcatI felt great and had dropped 2 dress sizes and i thought OMG people must be able to see these y is noone commenting, but by the time I had lost 30 kilos the comments were rolling in and I liked it to start with then I got embarrassed when certain people commented on it haha but it will come so dont get disheartened at all!!! Also like FatcatI get a little bothered with people telling me I dont need to lose much more other wise I would look skinny and gaunt and I think "how do you know u have never seen me at that size" then I have to explain that I still have to lose the 20 kilos to complete the program but its like hitting your head on a brick wall (maybe thats why my head hurts sometimes LOL:D
Anyway keep going strong and it will happen for u like it has for myself and a lot of other cohenites.
YOU GO GIRLS

Char

Refeed seems (I am just menu day 7 now) to have a lot of food, I need to space it out carefully otherwise I feel too full. I have a big 180gram steak and 2 fruits and a slice of bread yet to eat today and I dont feel hungry yet, I had a big (in Cohen terms) lunch.

I will prepare a before and after picture, gosh I look different. Do I feel happy? you bet! How do you feel now that it is almost over? Do you feel concerned that you will put it back on? I must admit I am a little concerned about putting it, however I am 1000% commited to not returning to my old eating habits, I will be eating all the same things as before, but the amounts will be different, particularly only one starch meal a day with bread, rice, potatos or pasta. Lessfatty will not be eating a steady daily diet of bread or cereal for breakfast, pasta for lunch and rice for dinner.

Cate, I have noticed that you are from Tassie as well. I have just weighed in for my 1st 4 weeks and lost 9 kg's. I am not sure what to expect this next 4 weeks, most people say that the weight loss is a steady 200-300g per day. the loss of the initial week obviously is not going to happen every month, but hopefully 1.2-1.5 may happen every week. I have just started getting comments now which makes you feel great.

Thank you very much for your very supportive replies. It's frustrating Annie isn't it. Fat Cat, we are a similar build & height I think. My mum thought I was sick & was waiting for me to tell her I had cancer or something.(That's what she said anyway). Minnie my husband is a very nice, supportive husband. He cooks a lot of my meals & after an initial hiccup is very careful with ingredients. Char, one thing I decided early was not to tell people(when they do notice!) how much more I have to lose because once before when I dieted it really grated. My husband, while being very encouraging, thinks my Cohen's goal weight is too low but after reading posts on this forum I have reassured him that my body will know when I am near goal weight as I will be ravenous. Is this usually the case?
I have never participated in a forum before and am really glad I have made this step. Thank you every-one for your reassurance. I have been reading the posts for the last 7 of my 8 wks on Cohen's. They are great! Cheers, Cate

I have just got the result of my 1st blood test. I was told that I still have some sugar showing in my test, but as I have had such a good loss they wont worry too much. I hae not deviated once and so not sure what it could be has anyone any ideas??

Carina, It seems that the weight loss really varies. I think I was expecting a higher weight loss, after 10kg 1st 4 wks but it was probably not realistic. Now I'm thinking-gee 1kg a week is pretty good. Anything above that will be a bonus. Welcome to another Taswegian! Cheers, Cate

HI
This may seem like a stupid question but i just cant seem to find where u start a new thread hahaha i have seen somewhere before but for the life of me i cant find it :D
if anyone can help it would be muchle appreciated.

Char

Hello everyone
It sounds as though most people are doing really well at present .............great to see!!!
Refeed sounds good but lots of food. Cheers Melly P have a drink for me.
As for comments re shrinking Remember we are very obsessed with our weight some of our friends and family see US not necessarily the weight that we carry ........which is really a very good thing !!!!!
Remember we are doing this for ourselves not for other peoples comments.
Nonna

Hey Char,

If you go to the front page where all the threads are, up the top of the first thread you will see a button that says 'post new thread' (or similar) click on that and it will start a new thread for you. Don't forget to put in the title....hope that helps.

Minny.

Hi everyone,
Still trogging along, every now and again I have a moment where something smells so delicious I have to keep myself in check like pasta last night:(
I still dont have too many issues prob drinking my 4 litres of water gets annoying when at 5pm I realise I have only done 1 and need to consume another 3.
I tried on a pair of DH jeans yesterday they fit maybe a bit too big:)
Still hard to imagine that I too can now fit into a 16 and when I drop another 8 kilos maybe borrow some clothes of girlfriends that always knew me as the biggest in our friendship group.
I suppose I should do some work ;)
