Good Morning Everyone,
Here's to another Cohen's day and being a step closer to our goals.
I had my 12 week weigh in last Friday. I honestly can not believe how quickly the time has gone. Anyway, I am repeating myself....But for those of you starting the journey, hang in there. Of course there are tough days but they are gone before you know it. Stay positive and enjoy the ride! You'll be there in no time.
Well, I managed to lose just over 6 kilos for the month. So that's 8 kilos first month, 5 kilos second month and 6 kilos this month. I am really pleased with that. 19 kilos in three months is pretty bloody amazing! Yay for me! It was initially hard to come down from 8 to 5 and I worried and stressed about it for a while. But soon realised that I was wasting valuable energy on being pathetically negative! (Which only made things more difficult for me.) Not worth it. So, here we go...not long now and I will be ready for re-feed (I think it is a bad term too, what else can we come up with???)
I believe it is important not to put too much emphasis on the number the scales put out. Sure, this is where we set our goals etc, but there are a lot of factors that influence the end result. And despite all of that, I would challenge anyone who has followed the diet correctly to say that the scales have NEVER gone down. It is merely impossible! And think about it, a decrease is a decrease. You will never be that weight again. Grab every kilo and kick to never never! And also, don't get into the habit of comparing your weight loss to someone else's. We are all different in where and how we lose and carry weight - different matabolisms, some of us even have medical conditions which may interfere, lifestyle stress etc, etc. Comparing is dangerous ground and can lead to discouragement. Just be proud of how you are going. Better than not doing anything at all! So, keep persevering - you'll get there. And I know I will be proud of you!!!
I have a black tie awards function to attend on Friday night. I'm very nervous! I will eat before I go and pass my food onto hubby's plate discreetly through out the night! He's quite pleased about that! And the no drinking will be tough. Especially if we win! But, it will be worth it when I know next year I'll be attending in a size 8 dress! I'm a little apprehensive about actually getting dressed up, hair done, make-up on and heels! It has been so long since I did myself up - I hope I look Ok.
Oh, and sorry dreamer - I have started walking of a morning for about 50 min. I love it. It really energises me. However, I did start walking around week 6 and found I was absolutely exhausted so I gave it up until last week (week 12) and have not had any issues. Not sure if that meant my body was still adjusting to the smaller intake of food or not but that's what my story is. And I want to start a routine of exercise - you know make it part of my everyday plan. See what works for you.
Righto, I'm off to buy myself some heels for my big night! Wishing you all a happy healthy day.
Lots of love and support.
