Cohen's Lifestyle Cohens Lifestyle Support - New

Prefix for Cohen's Lifestyle
WEEK ONE DONE YAYYYYYYY

And still no contact from the clinic. Unprofessional way to run a business in my opinion..

I have lost 27 cm this week... I am MEGA excited.

Was out for lunch today and the closest thing I could find was a deli in the fruit shop so bought Chicken Breast but not sure how processed that is so hoping that's not a major issue for my system.

BAM - Big hugs and I hope you find your feet and motivation soon.

Everyone is doing so great.

For brekky this morn I really felt like bacon and eggs .. so....

I fried up my one egg and half a tomato. Then had it with my 2 crackers (arnotts salada). WOW was fantastic. Highly recommended.

DEVIATORS.... just tell yourself repeatedly what I tell myself " I stick to the Cohens program easily and lose weight so quickly it's incredible" .. little bit of positive affirmation never hurt anyone.

ICHOOSELIFE- Thankyou for the hugs, i really need em :)

P.S- Your doing really really well, keep it up, its fantastic to see, i love the feeling of losing weight, nothing feels better.. not even hamburgers!!!

Hello fellow losers! :D

Im new to the program, it is only my 10th day so far. Im so glad to see there is such a big network of support! I started reading the old support forum and got about 40 pages in and gave up lol!

Anyway, a little about me...im 18years old and i live in Sydney, Australia. My clinic is the Parramatta location, and i love my consultant to bits..truly a gem.

Only after 10 days, im really pleased to see a 5kg loss, my mums on the program too (we decided to become thin together:)) and she has had a 4kg loss! We both have had unstable dieting programs before, and this is the first one where i dont feel bad doing it!

We did atkins for about 18months, i went from 92kg to 67kg in about 4 months but i lived on the 'induction' for over 6 months...basically all i ate was meat, eggs, lettuce and water. That sums it up. And then when i went into my HSC and final 2 years of school, i gained almost all of it back...as you do when you totally ditch notions of eating balanced meals.

The other night i was making my tea (cohens approved:D), and at the same time i was making my dad something to eat as well...he wanted steak and eggs...no bigge...until i noticed his meat size was about 5 TIMES MINE! My jaw dropped! It was then i realised what ive been doing to my body, because i could eat all that food and still feel hungry.

This is the start of the new me.

Cohens is the beginning of a new way of life for me :)

I know Sharon from Paramatta, she's fantastic, so you're in great hands Lexie07.

I'm 3 days behind you. WELCOME.

Does anyone suffer nausea?

Hey everyone!

BAM BAM BAM BAM.... you are my hero! it saddens me to see you on this vicious cycle of loss of control and then guilt! I beleive in you, you have been such a great mentor to me and nothing would please me more than seeing you achieve your goals. Having said that I know now how hard it is to get back on the wagon. All I had last night was one non cohens meal, just 1 and now I'm at war with myself in my own head contemplating not eating the cohen friendly soup I brought to work for dinner and ordering in. My head keeps saying "just one more meal won't hurt" and my ass is saying "please! no more you fat tart!" (k, thats silly, we all know that asses don't talk!) but it is hard which is why you will feel so much better for overcoming this obstacle. Serioulsly eat your mince and cabbage tonight for dinner (and you don't have to like it) get in the bath and let your body detox again- remember its getting on the wagon thats hard, riding it is easy as once you get going.

spk soon xxx bec

by the way I'm updating my ticker even tho I've prob put on some weight- its just to motivate me because there probably won't be much movement for a little while

welcome on board Lexie07 i can relate to how you feel with the steak size! We had a BBQ last night and i had my little bit of chicken on the hot plate near his collection of MASSIVE pork chops. tell ya what i can;t believe the amount he can put in his mouth! i made a comment about it and he reminded me i used to be able to match him bite for bite in the plate size stakes AAAHHHHHH!
no wonder i got so big, the more you eat the more you want!

ok, now for ticker update....

(sorry guys just inspiring myself)

MAKE ME EAT THE COHENS SOUP!! I DON'T WANT TO DEVIATE AGAIN!

Hey Cohenettes,

Glad to see some people are still hanging in without deviating. For those who can't resist please remember why you started this program in the first place. It is still your choice to do it (deviation or 100%) but trust the people who have finished without deviating they get there quicker and also please have a good think about why you need to deviate. In the long run you need to be answerable to yourself and it is yourself you are hurting.

Mermaid sister - thanks for your kind workd and your support i really needed them. I have had a really bad couple of weeks but i am still 100% on cohens and the ankle is starting to heal finally. The body is better and i can now breathe without it hurting. I didn't really realise how badly bumped and bruised my body actually was (reality set in last week)

Ichooselife - your weight loss will happen, you are starting where is was almost 19 weeks ago. I can't weight myself yet but i still feel really great, a little hungry but i think that is because i have dropped the water comsumption down to 2 litres. It's really hard to get up and down with bruise ribs and a broken ankle. But i did 31kgs in 17 weeks so take comfort in knowing that the weight will come off and that it is best not to deviate at all. If you need to eat out stick to salad with a protein. What cohens clinic are you with? I'm with Geelong and they are not the talkative kind unless you ring them. I was expecting a little more contact and support but this forum gives me that and well as my family and my own head space.

Well i though everyone should know i bought some new clothes. Some on the tops i bought are size 12 ( i htink they were made on a Friday) they must be a large 12. I can now if into a Kmark large, a target 16 and katies large.

I have to say a BIG THANK YOU to Chelsea who gave me 2 pairs of jeans (16's) that fit so i won't go flying down anymore stairs. It will be interesting to see what i weight when my ankle is healed. I tried to do my measurements last week but they are all 2cms out so i think and my doctor said it too that i will be swollen for a little while and the body will heal and get back to normal when it is ready, so all i have to do is be patient. Me patient hum!!!!!!!!

Well its cold here in melbourne so i'm going to snuggle under a blanket. Keep drinking the water and stay pur to your heart and why you are doing this today and tomorrow for your wonderful future.

Cheers Jewls:)

No More Deviating

:) Hi BAM and BABYEGG,

So this is it. Tonight meat and veg and organising breakfast and lunch for work tomorrow.

Tonight I am going to have the Wonderland Warmer Stew (filling) and make Zuchini Hash Browns for breaky tomorrow.

Hopefully you guys will be on-line tomorrow to tell me that you haven't deviated and I promise you both ...I won't!

Basically lets get through the next 24 hours without deviating..the three of us together. The first couple of days are the hardest - just we need to get through them ....together :)

Have a good night.

lilsaintly1:D

You go girls.. way to go.... I've just made Chicken Rissoles I got from the Cohen's recipe thread... and yuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmo mega nice.

For me it's about breaking the boredom for the second week and getting adventurous and less lazy in the kitchen. Bring on week 2 for me :)

Hi Lexie

Hullo Lexie, I think I had my induction talk with you and your Mum.....
(at Paramatta) Glad things are going well...I'm a veteran of Atkins too (remember those Ketostix?) but I'm finding this MUCH easier, down 10.5 Kg so far. I think the secret is Not deviating...so long as I don't think about what I could eat I'm OK ! Good luck to both of you

Dreamer, you can mix the cheeses you can mix proteins from the same group eg. prawns and squid, chicken and turkey, ricotta and mozerella etc.

Hi Everyone!

Well it's official............BAM this forum is not going to let you quit!! Your stuck with us. You are over halfway and in the home stretch...don't give up.

Aupair...........sigh I wish. Unfortunately the costs would defeat the purpose currently. Although I have 3 kids their ages vary greatly. 16, 14 & 3. The older two just need me to taxi them around these days. I do around 1000ks a week for work and probably another 100000000ks driving them around! My 3 yr old has some developmental issues and I totally trust the woman he is with now. Good thought though!

Good day for me today. Lots of water and for some reason my meals were really tasty. Resisted the urge to eat peppermint freddos today. They were melting slightly and the smell alone was just divine. I threw open my car window, munched on a salada and a peach and stuffed a few pieces of gum in my mouth. Craving subsided.

There have been a few changes to the plan since I was on it last (see BAM you don't want to have to do this a few months down the track!!) and I was wondering now that Saladas are allowed does anyone know if we are allowed to have the multigrain ones?
I really miss the cracked pepper paradise lites - they made the best crumbed chicken.

Have re-enrolled in uni for next year. Don't know what I'm thinking but choosing subjects is fun anyway.

Got my son's VCE booklist today. OMG heart attack. Normally I'd be nibbling on some chocolate but I nibbled on a gorgeous mango instead. Gosh they are nice this time of year.

Welcome new people (whose names have escaped me...grr). Good luck on your journeys.

Hey Fifi!

Did you find with Atkins that you lost all of your muscle tone? When i was at 67kg (ahh those were the days:rolleyes: ) i was so gaunt and sickly looking...im really worried the same will happen for me on Cohens! Has anybody found muscle loss with Cohens or is it just general fat?

Im also worried then when i get to goal that i will look gross because i will be so untoned! lol:confused:

Crispbreads (again!)

I posted this earlier, but here is the new list of crispbreads. Multigrain Salada isn't listed, but it does say you can have Ryvita cracked pepper...not as nice as the Paradise lights ones though

Greetings from Singapore

Dear all (from all over the world!)

I've been on the Cohen program for almost a year now. I have lost 53 kg so far and still have 8 more to go.

I need all the encouragement to keep me going to achieve my ideal weight. I'm trying very hard not to deviate or cheat from the remaining months on this program.

So please encourage me! Only those who are on this program will know what I'm going through!

Here's a blog which I record my personal experiences on this program. Please post your encouragement up there!

Thank you so much!

Love,
Hazel :)

I haven't done Atkins but I have done other weight loss plans where I lost muscle mass. I am sure I look completely different at my current weight this time around - far healthier. Also, with other weight loss plans I would get skinny but have a massive gut. This time my tummy seems to be going at the same rate.

Hi Everyone,
Well I am happy to report that the temptation to resist the melting freddos in my car yesterday paid off. I was down 400 grams this morning. My first shift in a week.:D

Less of me - thanks for the listing. I've been happily eating the multigrain saladas - knew they tasted too good!

Happy shrinking!
