Chris B's Weekly Weigh-in

I made it to the gym again last night! Its actually becoming a routine now, and I'm kinda excited to go again tonight. :)

For dinner last night we had Chilis and I got the quesadilla explosion salad. I knew it wasn't going to be totally good for me, but I checked online this morning and it has 850 calories! :eek:

Luckily I didn't eat the whole thing...

I'm also worried about this weekend. On Saturday we're having dinner at a friends house, and Sunday is the Superbowl, and we're having friends and family over. ...and then weigh in is Monday morning! Ugh...

I've gotta be strong this weekend, I can't ruin everything that I've been doing so far this week.
 
That's right! Were going to have to suck it up this weekend! A true test of our will power:D
I see alot of exercise coming for the weekend:D

I wonder what food would be good for you at Chiles????I think I usually try to stick to that pita thingy when I eat there, But I'm not even sure how many calories that has?

Just remember, your doing too good to blow it over this weekend! Think about how great you want to look for your wifes B-Day, and better yet how good you'll look in your summer cloths.

Chris make some low cal munchies for the superbowl on Sunday. That's what I've been doing during all the Sunday Football Games. You can't watch a game and not have munchies :) For the last Carolina Game we made turkey italian sausage and we put them on wheat hoaggie rolls with roasted pepper and onions...they were sooo good :) Another thing I make that my fiance' loves and I don't have the heart to tell him it's not too bad for him is I make spinach dip
package of frozen spinach defrosted
cup of lowfat mayo
a container of non-fat sour cream
can of water chestnuts
a dash of hot sauce ( I put more than a dash my honey likes it spicy)
Tablespoon of horseradish
package of Knorrs veggi soup mix

I eat mine with carrot and celery sticks but you could serve it with crackers or bread.

I'm sure you'll do fine :)
 
Hehe, thanks 2cute, that sounds really good (minus the horseradish :p ) Thats a great idea though. I think we'll still have some chips and stuff for the guests -- I'll just stick with the veggies.
 
Hi Chris! Just read your diary. Congrats on the awesome progress so far! You are doing great!:D I don't allow myself a "cheat day" either - I find if I have one...well, I tend to have a REALLY hard time gettin' back on the wagon. Give your wife an extra kiss! Its great that she supports you like she does. There are so many people that don't have that extra help. ;) I love the forum. It has helped keep me focused and on track. Keep up the good work and I'll pop in now and again to give ya my two cents :D ( hey, every little cent adds up! LOL)

I've got my gym stuff with me, so I plan on going tonight too, even though its a Friday!

I was tempted to weigh-in this morning, but I talked myself out of it. I think it would have given me too much of an excuse to cheat this weekend. BE STRONG! :D

I think we've practiced all week to "be good" for this weekend so, I think its going to fly by like nothing! I'm planning to round up some fruit and veggies, maybe some butterless popcorn, I'm going to have to look up the calorie content on that one:)
My family and I went out to eat last night with my mother-in-law, annnnnd, my will power prevailed! I stuck to a spinich salad. Everyone else had big juicy steaks with potatoes and "monsterous" salads. I felt really good when I got home. You know that feeling when you make good choices about eating:)

I was going to exercise, I started but got interruped. So no exercise last night either. Thats three days:( I am going to really try hard this weekend to get some exercise in. Maybe early in the A.M.

Great job on getting to the gym so many nights in a row!! All that hard work is going to pay off!!

Staying off the scale is sooo hard. I can't do it. I weigh myself every morning. I know I am playing mind games with myself, but I can't help myself. I should hide the darn thing under my son's bed. That would stop me. But then I would probably never find it again either. lol.

This weekend is going to be a real challenge. At our house, Super Bowl has always been a big eating weekend. I heard on the TV this morning that Americans eat an average of 1200 calories just during the SuperBowl!! wow.

Thank BizeB! It does feel good now that I've started going to the gym! :)

Saturday was kinda rough. I had a turkey and egg crepe for breakfast, grilled chicken and broccoli for lunch, and a grilled BBQ chicken and corn on the cob for dinner.

The problem came from all of the alcohol calories... We went to some friends house and had some drinks, and that right there was 740 calories! :eek:

So, today I'm feeling guilty, especially since Monday is weigh-in. :( This morning I've had a zonebar for breakfast, and I've done some floor exercises -- and I still might go to the gym later on (before the SuperBowl starts!)
 
Hi Chris :D Monday is my weigh day, too. What a day to pick! Well, at least it forces me to be "good" on the weekends :rolleyes: I wouldn't sweat the alcohol too much. You've been going to the gym and you have the opportunity to go to the gym today... We are all allowed a little indulgence now and then ;) Have a great day and keep up the good work. Hope you like the Superbowl's winner....... hehehehehe
 
Good luck with your weigh in on Monday!! I am not brave enough to have my weigh in until Wednesday. I need those two days to help recoup any weekend slip-ups I may make! lol. Keep up those gym workouts! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. :)
 
It sounds like you are doing great. Our mexican resturaunt has chips and salsa but the salsa is fat free and they have chips with low fat or regular. i usually get the low fat ones. but i am trying to stay away from mexican because that is my weakness as well. You are doing great! Reading your great determination makes me even more determined because if you can do it then so can i...right? GOod job and good luck
 
Thanks everyone! I lost 2 pounds this week!

I didn't make it to the gym yesterday, but I did floor exercises and weights at the house.

We ordered pizza last night for the game, but I only ate 1 slice...as opposed to my usually 3 or 4 slices. :rolleyes:

I knew this weekend was gonna be tough for me, so I guess I did alright.. I'm kinda glad its Monday so I can get back into my routine. After work, its back to the gym! ;)
 
WHEW! I've never been so happy to be back at work, EVEN for a Monday at that:)
Tempest, You lost another 2lbs.! That's great! I think I did too, but much like Fluff-I'm going to wait till midweek to ring in the official results.

I want to wear a pin that says, (We) "I survived superbowl sunday!":) because,I was able to do pretty good with all the food that was around Sunday!
And darnet, I didn't get any real exercise in over the weekend. Just regular house work and grocery store walking.:(

I'm glad you didnt deprive yourself any pizza! We all need a reward every now and then--and what better way:)

Oh well, its only one weekend out of this whole journey, so I guess its okay. I'm still feeling guilty, but I just need to move on!

Well, I guess guilt can be a good thing in this instance. It keeps us strong and on track!:)
Hey Tempest, I know that you use fitday, Have you ever entered dietary info for a specific food and it tells you that those calculations cant be possible? I bought some South Beach breakfast bars over the weekend and I was entering the nutritional information--And it said that the bar should have 450 calories, not the 140 that I'm reading on the label. I rechecked all the info, and I entered it right? Just curious, I couldnt stand the thought of eating 450 calories in one sitting:D Cabana
 
No, I haven't had that happen to me.. Are you sure that the serving size was correct?
