Cat's Meow's Diary

Green Tea Green Tea Green Tea

BF and I went to Longwood Gardens on Saturday. I had chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms, steamed veggies, and a bite or two of the rice. I wanted to get the veggies and protein in before I got too full. I sucked down a bottle of water before we left the dining room because you're not supposed to have any food or beverage in the gardens. We walked and walked... Even though I don't celebrate Christmas I do love Longwood's Christmas displays. All the trees are so beautiful and everything is lit up at night. He got himself some hot mulled wine. I only inhaled the warmth. I got some really cool pictures as well.

I've been having fun with my camera recently. I think because I'm more comfortable being in front of the camera I bring mine out more often. He's noticed that I've been trying new things with lighting and exposure time and composition, so he got PhotoshopCS3 for me a while ago. I have no clue how to use it so I bought a book. He said if I learn how to use it well enough he would buy me a for reals professional digital camera. He's already insisted he buy me a laptop. I feel a little weird him spending so much money on me, but hey if it makes him happy... :biggrinjester: Once I feel like I've got some stuff to show off I'll post photos more often.

We spent most of the weekend at my house. My sister is in Disney and he felt bad leaving the babies alone at night. He loves our kitties and misses not living with me and them anymore. He wants to move back in with me. He calls the whole break up and everything leading up to and while we were apart a huge mistake on his part. He's taken responsibility for it but I know we're both at fault. I wan't really happy with the life I was leading or the person I was. He felt the same about his life but we just pretended because it was just easier. :(

I've blabbed enough for right now. He's coming to get me for lunch before he goes away for work. He's only gone for a night so I'll be back in his arms tomorrow. Yay! :hurray:

It's so nice outside I felt like such a dork with my hat and scarf. Holding hands and grilled ham and brie sammiches makes my day better.

Life is good.

Right now I'm trying not to sneak my silent panted ass back into the kitchen for one of those chocolate frosted donuts someone brought in. Evil!

Size 10 is great. But sometimes I still feel like a house. I forget what magazine I was reading the other day but there was an article about that poor Hollywood Fatty Jennifer Love I'm a Size 2 Hewitt. It was comparing the measurements of a size 2 with the average american woman at a size 14. Is that really the average? I guess I have to take into consideration that we run the gamut of all shapes, weights, heights etc...

I know how you feel. And I don't think Jennifer Love Hewitt is a size 2. Those pictures were taken at a very unflattering angle, but I don't think you can make a size 2 look like she did. Not that she looked bad or anything, a size 2 is just extremely thin. Sometimes I wish I had a size in the "single" digits, but size really isn't a big deal, it's how fit and healthy you feel.

I find it hard to beleive that a size 14 is average -b ecuase there's no way i'm below the average.. I'd be willing to bet an 8 is more average which is probably the equivelent of a 14 20 years ago...

the latest commercials JLH is in -there's no way she's a size 2.. at least no size 2 I've ever seen :D but hey she makes millions so she can say whatever she wants...

I've heard also that a size 12-14 is average for the US women. I would have to agree with that, as most of my girlfriends fit that range and only MAYBE 2 are a size 8 or under. I have hips and I don't think I'll ever get under a size 8 truthfully I don't want to lose my curves, I love them! And so does my hubby, it makes me look more like a women and not a young girl. That's just my opinion of course, everyone is different.

I just hope everyone here who is working their butts off for better health and weight loss, loves their bodies and is happy once they reach THEIR so to speak GOOD PLACE, not a number on clothes or the scale.

Let's all get HEALTHY and HAPPY together!! YOU GO GIRL!!

Stretching the Breast

I showed the article to BF at the time explaining my disbelief that 14 was average, he said it was probably an average of all american women. A 22+ is going to cancel out a couple size 2s. Not that they took a poll on pant size but based on marketing trends and the percentage of american women that are overweight or obese and probably have an above average pant size... blah blah blah, he's so technical.... so even though I think an 8 would be average, thats a healthy average in my head. For me.

My sister boiled 5 chicken breasts before she left for Disney this past Friday so I spent some of my weekend stretching it into lots of different meals. Birds Eye makes a lot of boxed microwavable mixed veggies w/ pasta, potatoes and sauces so I chopped up chicken to mix in with those, chicken salad with fat free mayo, celery, onions, peppers... I'll be chickened out by the end of the week and ready for an iron fix only satisfied by a nice grilled filet mignon.

AMEN to that Mal! I'm almost there myself, but you know with as slow as I lose weight maybe I'll be celebrating my size 8's with my 40th birthday, OH and that's about two years away, so it's certainly dueable. LOL LOL

Pant size and weight are easier numbers to set goals to. I can see pant size and I can see what the scale says. I can't calculate my BMI off the top of my head. I don't know what my cholesterol is or my blood pressure. I do know the smaller my pants the less I weigh and the less likely I am to have fat related health problem. Not to say skinny people are automatically healthy but you know where I'm going with this.

Haha! The Answer is not in that chocolate frosted donut in the kitchen! The Answer is in my green tea and these forums. And in my thighs not making a whooshing sound.

Green Tea is my saviour on many occasions. My mother swears it makes her lose weight and makes her nails grow. I'm not so sure about that but I'll guzzle it down just the same. It's not so delicious as say... Hot Chocolate with a homemade marshmallow, but it keeps me happy in the meantime. And it makes me pee lots.

Thanks Kim, and have a great rest of your day too!!
