Cat's Meow's Diary

Green Tea is my saviour on many occasions. My mother swears it makes her lose weight and makes her nails grow. I'm not so sure about that but I'll guzzle it down just the same. It's not so delicious as say... Hot Chocolate with a homemade marshmallow, but it keeps me happy in the meantime. And it makes me pee lots.

Thanks Kim, and have a great rest of your day too!!

OH BOY did you have to remind me about that hot chocolate and home made marshmallows, I almost forgot we had that too. YIKES, I need to forget all about it, because it was sooooooo yummy. Okay, back on track green tea, here I come!

if you are over age 18 you should know...

that should be checked at your yearly exam...

I haven't been to the doctor in over 2 years. GP anyway. ObGyn every year. It was my ObGyn that found the lump in my boob. We call her Esther. The lump not my doc. I went to a few other doctors after that then the Cancer Center at the local hospital to see the boob specialist. I was a pro at being felt up. Wow that sounds horrible. I had my results forwarded to my GP but I just didn't go after that. The lump is a fibroadenoma and causes no issues. I plan on having it removed when I get a breast lift after I reach my goal weight. My ObGyn keeps track of Esther.

I have a few general maladies to discuss with my doc so blood pressure and cholesterol will be things to talk about as well. Thanks!

Hi Emily.

I wanted to come by and say Hi. I've enjoyed reading your diary. Congrats on the silent pants and reaching a size 10.

GO BLACK TEAM!!!!

Lisa

I'm lucky I don't like hot chocolate...One less temptation. :)

Kudos on fitting in a size 10! (although I don't really know what size that is since we use a different system. :p)

I LOVE bird's eye vegetables!

I am currently between a 10 and an 8, but a 10 at most places...I'd like to be a stable size 8. I would really love to be a size 6, but I don't think that's a realistic goal for me.

Blah

Today I just don't feel like it.

The doctors appointment went ok. I spent an hour in the waiting room but I kept her for an hour talking with me. Weight was 155. BP was 90/52. Seems low right? But the nurse who took it said it was normal. The doctor read me off my cholesterol results from my last blood test and made me a copy of them but I forgot to take it with me. She said they were all good. I go to get blood tests again and an MRI for my migraines.

I fell asleep last night at 9:30 pm. I'm still feeling beat. My arm still hurts from the tetanus shot. I'll feel better after lunch. :nopity:

I want some french pressed coffee. Caffiene gives me migraines though. So a nap. The more I get into the day the more awake I'll become though right? Everytime I consider taking a weekend day to just lay around the house and do nothing I feel guilty, but we all need that once in a while right? We all need our pizza and ice cream days. ;)

Thanks Casey. I don't plan on pouting for much longer today. It's all about attitude right? Mine sucks at the moment but sometimes you just feel like being miserable.....?

I am drinking a 20 oz. cup of Starbuck's coffee as I type this. I don't know what I'd do without caffeine! Life is about attitude...but some days my attitude just doesn't cut it. LOL. It's okay to feel blah every once in awhile, especially when you're putting your body through weight loss. Still, I hope your day gets better.

I'm a chai-aholic. I also love starbucks seasonal flavors like Gingerbread Latte. My latest fav is the Cinnamon Dolce. Always decaf. Always skim milk. And I've cut back from a Venti to a Tall. I can't wait for this weekend to roll around so I can have one again. I've had to cut them out this week due to the BLS Challenge. I'm doing really well cutting out the crap. It was killing me at the beginning of the week.

You're right, it's all about attitude. But sometimes the body needs rest. Take a day off, you deserve it!

Lunch is over and I'm feeling much better. Tomato soup is great for improving attitude. The only thing missing is a fat grilled cheese sandwich.:)

WE ALL NEED those me days. Don't feel guilty. Just feel guilty if you take them once a week! Sounds like you are taking care of you the best you can.

(reminder to self.. get cholesterol & BP checked! - I have no clue what mine are. Which is sad.)

I'm impressed.

MMMMM tomato soup! I love that stuff! You can have a grilled cheese, just don't load it up with high fat cheese, use low calorie cheese and very light butter on the bread, and you will be fine! You can't cut out cheese all together, it's actually good for you. Or maybe just make a HALF instead of a whole sandwich, always another way to cut back.

Good to see the doctors visit was over and now maybe they will find out what's causing your migraines, I'm so sorry you have to deal with those too. Uggg!

Take it easy today, and maybe just use today as a rest day, we all our entitled to those each week. Hope your feeling up to par soon!
Hugs
Kim

Yay Cheeeeeese!

Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup is totally my favorite comfort food right now. That and homemade macaroni & cheese Over the holidays I was perfecting my Mac & Cheese recipe, which is definitely not low fat or low anything really with it's mix of 6 cheeses. It is heavenly though to snuggle up with your favorite someone and share a bowl of cheesy goodness.

hey take a day off...have a rest! the body will use up energy getting better! you deserve a break. everything in moderation right!

hope you feel better soon

If you go looking for trouble you just might find it.

I posted these during the Holiday Challenge but I wanted to keep a reminder in my diary of what I am thankful for. This list may change from time to time but I always want to remind myself to be thankful for something. Everyone should take the time to make their own list and keep it where you can see it or have easy access to it so when you're having a bad day you can remind yourself to think of the positives in your life.
Anyone feel free to post a list here as well.

Things I am thankful for on a daily basis:

1. My family. As crazy as they all are and even though my sister and I have our conflicts I'm glad I have her.

2. Rob. We've had our ups and downs and have both made mistakes, but life is full of lessons learned and we're both stronger people for having learned them. Stonger as individuals makes us stronger as a couple.

3. That I own my own home. In this current market I'm glad I'm already in.

4. Alice and Molly. They are a source of unconditional love and affection and I don't care if people say they're just cats. They are my babies!

5. That I'm strong enough to forgive, cautious enough not to forget but smart enough to not use the past as a weapon.
