Cat's Meow's Diary

5. That I'm strong enough to forgive, cautious enough not to forget but smart enough to not use the past as a weapon.

Such a great thing.

It truly helps to be aware of just how great we have it, especially in those trying times that seem to hit now & then. I try to do this nightly but it helps to put it in writing now & then.

1. That I live in a place where bombs going off would still be breaking news.
2. My lungs seem to have recovered from smoking (quit 6 years ago in July) & I am able to do things many people can't (like jog or clean my house with chemicals without having any breathing problems)
3. I have food, to the point where I get to chose what & when I want to eat.
4. I have a job & can pay my bills. Maybe I can't save as like I want to or buy all the great things I want, but I can rest knowing I have a job.
5. I have energy & will power, that will help me achieve my goals....
& BONUS... this forum is FILLED UP with awesome, inspiring, supportive, knowledgeable people who make me happy & remind me of stuff like this!

YOU ROCK!

Thanks for sharing this. & yes our furry family members are just as important in our lives.

Things I am thankful for on a daily basis:

1. My family. As crazy as they all are and even though my sister and I have our conflicts I'm glad I have her.

2. Rob. We've had our ups and downs and have both made mistakes, but life is full of lessons learned and we're both stronger people for having learned them. Stonger as individuals makes us stronger as a couple.

3. That I own my own home. In this current market I'm glad I'm already in.

4. Alice and Molly. They are a source of unconditional love and affection and I don't care if people say they're just cats. They are my babies!

5. That I'm strong enough to forgive, cautious enough not to forget but smart enough to not use the past as a weapon.

:grouphug:

that is such an amazing idea. i have never tried it this way. always the opposite (things i would change)!

good for you

HEY! Just stopping in to say hello!!! so.. HELLO! AND that you are such a inspiration to me... you stay strong when things get tough and I admire the greatly! Keep up the good work! I was reading in your diary and caught a glimpse about how you get migranes... I do too! I have had them for years. When I was abou 12-13 had a migrane that lastes almost 2 weeks... it was HORRIBLE! I couldn't do anything but lay there and TRY to fall asleep. I would cry and it would get worse. They have calmed down this year.. I had them really bad last year, but they have seem to subside alittle! Well Talk to you soon!!!

Katie

Things I am thankful for on a daily basis:

3. My experiences in college and the workplace.

4. My intelligence and independence, and my strong will.

5. My apartment, my car, my cell phone, and other possessions that I take for granted.

I love it! Thanks for sharing!

I'm also glad to find someone else who likes Riesling. It's the only kind of wine that doesn't make me make an embarrassing face when I taste it. I remember trying to like wine and deciding to try it in public...not the greatest idea.

Oh and I'm thankful for lots of stuff but I can list it on and on forever so I just want to share something with you that I found the other day and had never thought about before I read it: be thankful for your body, that it works as well as it does, that it's carried you around and supported you and grown with you your whole life, etc.

I think about how thankful I am for my body and it helps me stay on track. Not that I'm really good at staying on track, but, well it was just a thought. :)

Have a great night/day! Oh, and thanks for posting in my diary!

just wanted to butt in and say Im a HUGE Reisling fan too!! Spartacus, I see you're near me....have you tried The Biltmore (as in the Biltmore in Asheville NC?) Reisling? Its honestly the best I've found....Kroger and Publix sell it (but not all locations).

Happy tuesday or something everyone...

Migraines really take it out of me. I woke up yesterday with one and it's still hanging around. I called out of work yeserday morning and said I may be in later in the day. I called back at noon planning to not go in but I was told they were piling work on my desk and no one was going to cover for me, I had to go in so as to not screw myself today. I may have screwed myself anyway. I think not resting like I should have has extended the headache. But I'm at work anyway. Maybe I'll leave early.

Blah.

Hope the migraine goes away soon! Sorry to hear you aren't feeling your best.

Thanks Casey.

... And I know what you mean about stuffing your face then feeling horrible. Yesterday I had toast with butter for breakfast and a Quaker breakfast cookie for lunch. Dinner I had a chicken caeser wrap, pretzels, french fries, three Grands dinner rolls with butter and a peanut butter sandwich. It came to about 2500 cals. When I was eating I was thinking 'Why am I doing this.' but I kept shoveling it in. I feel like crap again today.

Peeeanuuuuuutt... Peanut Butter... And Jelly

Peanut butter and high fiber toast for breakfast. Lurverly Earl Gray tea as well.

I'm feeling better this morning. Got good sleep. Ready for the day ahead.

I'm glad you're feeling better today. The great thing about our bodies is that we get a new chance everyday to appreciate and put healthy foods in them.

Happy to see your feeling better!! Time to kick it up a notch and do really well on your food intake for the day. WOW, I was amazed at your previous days food, HOLY TOLEDO you were feeling bad weren't you. LOL LOL

It's a new day with No mistakes, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!

Have a Fab day today, I'll check on you later gator!

You can do it! And remember, we're all here to help you!

India, you're right. I do have the will power to overcome my binge days. Today I had chai, and orange and granola for breakfast and so far for lunch I toasted some low fat mozzarella on melba toast. I plan on snacking on peanut butter and celery in a bit. I also have some high fiber cereal to munch on as well.

Thanks!
